1 Crosby s Seafood Company Current Market notes and for the week of Fishing Vessels (F/V) The local F/V Game On is currently out fishing and expected to dock Tomorrow or Thursday. The local F/V Charleston Star is taking a much needed break for their crew. They will not be heading back out until the beginning of next week. The local F/V Ellen Jean just offloaded yesterday with beautiful Local Sushi grade Swordfish from a 2 day trip. They will be taking a hard earned break for their crew for the next 5 to 6 days. The local F/V Still Fishing is currently our fishing and expected back to dock Thursday or Friday. The local F/V Bonsai will be leaving dock tomorrow and will be expected back to dock this weekend. The Local F/V Seahawk just left dock today and is expected back in Friday or Saturday. The local F/V China Girl is currently at dock taking a brief break for the crew. They are planning on getting back out this weekend or first of next week at the latest. The local F/V Miss Jane just left dock today and will be expected back Friday or Saturday with a fresh shipment of Local Swordfish. Notes Boat Captains are expressing that due to the abundance of Vermillion Snapper A.K.A. B-liners and Pink Porgies in our local waters, they have been unable to get their bait to the bottom in order to catch grouper before the snapper are biting the hook. Despite all efforts and creativity on the Captains end, the abundance of snapper is creating quite an issue for targeting local grouper at this time. We are bringing in Red, Black, and Scamp Grouper from Florida to have a sufficient supply of grouper on hand to help offset the demand. We are expecting plenty of Sushi grade B-liners, Pink Porgies, American Red Snapper, Trigger Fish, Amberjacks, and a very limited amount of Gag and Scamp Grouper off the current boats out fishing. The local shrimp are pouring in the door in all sizes: 26/30, 21/25 and 16/20 s. Shipments have continued to come in nearly daily. 20 lb. orders or more on local shrimp are subject to price reduction Plenty of P.E.I. Mussels, Clams, and Fancy Fresh Sea Scallops. Local North Carolina handpicked fresh crabmeat Lump, Jumbo Lump, and Claw have all been coming in 3 times a week to ensure strictly the up most quality. We have a shipment with an abundance of assorted oysters from Canada and the North East due in tomorrow and will available for Thursday s delivery. All sizes of Norwegian Salmon are readily available. There is still a shortage in production for salmon but prices have held steady. We are still expecting production to catch up with demand in the weeks to come. Faroe Island Salmon is in and readily available.. The customers in search of plate size fish will have to look no further than our Sushi Grade local B-liner 1-1.5lb & 1.5-2lb. fish.
