2 2015 Oregon Ocean Salmon Sport Seasons Statewide Regulations: Anglers fishing for salmon and anglers fishing from boats with a salmon on board are limited to no more than 2 single point barbless hooks per line, and no more than one line per angler It is unlawful to fish for or take and retain any legal species while possessing on board any species not allowed to be taken in that area at that time Minimum lengths: Chinook = 24", coho= 16", steelhead = 20", no minimum for pink, chum, or sockeye Leadbetter Point, \VA to Cape Falcon, OR: Selective Chinook (fin-clipped) Season: Open May 30 through earlier of June 12 or 10,000 coast wide marked Chinook quota Bag Limit: All salmon except coho. Two salmon per day, all retained Chinook must have a healed adipose fin clip Selective Coho (fin-clipped) Season: Open June 13 through earlier of Sept. 30 or 79,400 marked coho quota (Chinook guideline of 15,000) Bag Limit: All salmon. Two salmon per day, but no more than one Chinook, and all coho must have a healed adipose fin clip Notes: Open seven days per week. Closed within the Columbia River Control Zone Cape Falcon to Humbug Mountain: Chinook Season (all salmon except coho): Open March 15 through Oct. 31 (will re-open March 15, 2016) Bag Limit: Two salmon per day, closed to retention of coho except as listed below for the "selective coho" and the "non-selective coho" seasons Selective Coho (fin-clipped) Season (Cape Falcon to OR/CA Border): Open June 27 through earlier of Aug. 9 or 55,000 marked coho quota Bag Limit: All salmon. Two salmon per day, all coho must have a healed adipose fin clip Non-selective Coho Season: Open Sept. 4 through the earlier of Sept. 30 or 12,500 coho quota Bag Limit: All salmon. Two salmon per day Newport Florence Notes: Shoreward of the 15 fathom curve off Tillamook Bay between Twin Rocks and Pyramid Rock and prior to Aug. 1, only fin-clipped Chinook may be retained. Within the Stonewall Bank Yelloweye Rockfish Conservation Area salmon angling is restricted to trolling on all depth halibut days. Coho quota remaining from the summer "Selective Coho Season" will be transferred on an impact neutral basis to the ''Non-selective Coho Season" (open days may be adjusted)... Humbug Mountain to OR/CA Border: Chinook Season: Open May 1 through Sept. 7 Bag Limit: Two salmon per day, closed to retention of coho except as listed above for the Selective Coho Season from Cape Falcon to the OR/CA Border

3 2015 Pacific Halibut Sport Seasons COLUMBIA RIVER SUBAREA (Leadbetter Pt., WA, to Cape Falcon) Nearshore Season - Quota= 500 lbs. Open inside the 40-fathom line off of Oregon beginning May 4, on days when the all-depth Pacific halibut fishery is closed (Monday-Wednesday), through the earlier of quota or Sept. 3 0 All-Depth Season- Quota= 9,754 lbs. Open May 1, Thursday-Sunday, through the earlier of quota or Sept CENTRAL COAST SUBAREA (Cape Falcon to Humbug Mt.) Nearshore Season - Quota= 21,076 lbs. Open July 1, seven days a week, inside the 40-fathom line, through the earlier of the quota or Oct. 31 All-Depth Seasons- Combined Quota= 154,557lbs. Spring season (110,649 lbs.): Open May 14-16, May 28-30, June 11-13, and June Back -up dates, if quota remains, include July 9-11 and July Summer season(43,908 lbs.): Aug Back-up dates, if quota remains, are every other Fri-Sat beginning Aug Depoe Bay Newport Florence The Stonewall Bank Yelloweye Rockfish Conservation Area (YRCA; about 15 miles west of Newport) is closed to Pacific halibut fishing. Anglers on vessels possessing Pacific halibut are prohibited from fishing in the Stonewall Bank YRCA, even when targeting legal species, SOUTHERN OREGON SUBAREA (Humbug Mt. to OR/CA border) All-Depth Season- Quota= 7,318 lbs. Open May 1, seven days per week, through the earlier of the quota or Oct. 31 Brookings Statewide Regulations: Daily bag limit: 1 Pacific halibut. Annual limit: 6. No length limit Pacific halibut possession limit: 1 daily limit at sea, 3 daily limits on land Fathom lines and conservation areas are defined by waypoints Pacific halibut seasons are managed and enforced based on port of landing. Halibut may only be landed at ports located within areas currently open to halibut retention, regardless of area of catch. North of Humbug Mt.: During days open to all-depth halibut fishing, most species may not be taken /retained /possessed/landed when Pacific halibut are on board the vessel except salmon (as regulations allow), sablefish, Pacific cod,_tlattish species (soles, flounders. sanddabs), tuna and most other offshore pelagic species are allowed. During days closed to all-depth halibut fishing, retention of groundfish (as regulations allow) is permitted when Pacific halibut are onboard It is unlawful to fish for or take and retain any species while possessing onboard any species not allowed to be taken in that area at the time Anglers are advised to consult the 2015 Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations for General (statewide), Zone, and Special Regulations prior to fishing
