1 YOUR DESTINATION The economy of Russell is based primarily on agriculture with wheat gluten and ethanol manufacturing facilities located in the local industrial park. Russell County is also one of the leading petroleum producing counties in Kansas. Russell is a clean and beautiful farming community located just right off I-70.
