1 Pg1 KETTERING GOLF CLUB JUNIOR SECTION No 15 MAY 2015 NEWSLETTER Shires Junior Tour - Brampton Heath GC, Sunday, 26th April Jo Hyde shines again at Brampton Heath Joseph Hyde didn't let the no small matter of a13 shot handicap cut stop him from finishing second in the Copper Division of The Shires Tour at Brampton Heath. The 11 year old now makes the step up to Bronze Division where we are sure he will continue to do well, good luck Jo. The Shires Junior Tour Ashleigh Critchley couldn't follow up her victory at Wellingborough with a top three finish this time, but will looking to drop another shot soon to enable her to join Jo Hyde and Ed Keech in the Bronze Division. Ben Atherton and Gracie Murray, (Bronze Division), competed well, hitting some great shots, both are improving game by game and will soon be looking to emulate Jo and Ashleigh s recent success. Shires Junior Tour - Kingsthorpe GC, Sunday, 10th May Kettering Golf Club had a new Shires Tour high of eight players representing their club at the latest event held at a sunny Kingsthorpe Golf Club. With many adult members professing that the course was playing tough and greens were quick, the chances of high scoring this week were minimal. However, the conditions didn't stop many of the players registering high Stableford points scores, and despite some very good rounds by the Kettering youngsters there were no winners this time. Players: Jordan Darnell, Theo Brown, Ed Keech, Luca Brown, Joseph Hyde, Ashleigh Critchley, Gracie Murray and Ben Atherton. Special Guest - Richard Ashcroft has kindly offered to perform a few magic tricks during the evening. Tickets will cost 2.50 per child, on sale now, please ask at the bar or see Daz Keech.

Starting at approx 6.00pm until 8.30pm, there will be a buffet for the juniors, food will also be available to order behind the bar on the night. Rounds 1 & 2 saw Charley shoot level par rounds of 72, these were followed by a great 67 and a disappointing final day 75 all leading to an 18th place finish.
