5 General Information General Information GENERAL INFORMATION The Club has a Members Constitution and Club Rules and Regulations that all members must read, understand and comply with. Copies of both documents are available on the Club s website, or from the main office. Extracts from the two documents have been included in the diary for your reference. HANDICAPS All matters relating to Collingtree Park Golf Club members handicaps are administered in accordance with the England Golf Union s CONGU legislation and the Unified Handicapping System. The Club has a HANDICAP COMMITTEE who has the responsibility for the allotment and maintenance of handicaps as delegated to the club by the EGU. A summary of the handicap system can be found on Club notice boards, and in the Pro shop. More detailed information can be found on the England Golf Union s website at In accordance with the CONGU Unified Handicapping System, all members are required to meet certain obligations in order to maintain their handicap. In particular each player must return a minimum of 3 qualifying scores / cards between Annual Reviews, least their handicap will be rendered noncompetitive. Players who nominate a club other than Collingtree as their home club are obliged to advise our Handicap Secretary of any changes to their handicaps in a timely manner. Those members who compete in competitions away from Collingtree are required by the CONGU rules to ensure that all related scores (good and not so good) are returned to the club for entry against their handicap record as away competition results. This information must be accompanied by the date, the course, name of the competition and the SSS/CSS for the course played.
