2 A Note from the Directors: Welcome to another year of fun-filled events! Each spring hundreds of mature adults 50 and older anticipate the Fulton Golden Games. This year celebrates the 24th Annual Fulton Golden Games. Over the years, the games have been an avenue for participants to begin or continue their competitive journey to a healthier lifestyle. We have shared a lot of great memories together, and we thank you for your interest and continued participation. This year we will be 24th Anniversary 2018 Fulton Golden Games Sponsor Agencies: Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department (678) Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department (770) City of Milton Parks and Recreation Department (678) City of Johns Creek Recreation and Parks Division (678) kicking off the games in Milton at Bell Memorial Park with a parade of athletes on April 25th for our Opening Day. On this day we will hold all of the field day events, including the mile walk, shot put throw, discus, and more. Other Fulton Golden Games events include: Golf at River Pines in Johns Creek, Trivia Challenge at Park Place at Newtown School, and the Bowling Tournament at Stars and Strikes in Sandy Springs. We encourage you to come and take part in this month s fun-filled events. If you have any questions or comments about the Golden Games, please do not hesitate to give us a call! 3 Additional Information: Purpose: The Fulton Golden Games provides adults fifty and older an opportunity to participate in a variety of sports competitions and games of skill, meet new people, learn new leisure skills, and become more aware of recreational activities available to them. Age: Age will be determined by the participant s age as of April 8, Events will be divided into men s and women s divisions, and age groups where appropriate. Date of birth must be included on the application form. Awards: Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to first, second, and third place winners in men s and women s divisions. Cancellation Policy: The Fulton Golden Games reserves the right to combine age groups or to cancel any event due to insufficient registration, inclement weather, and unusual or extenuating circumstances. We will, however, make every effort to reschedule events. Rain Out Hotline: (678) Please call for weather updates. Registration and Fees: A $20 registration fee must accompany the completed application form. Registration in the games also entitles you to a Golden Games t-shirt, most events, and the Awards lunch. Registration submitted after March 30th, 2018 will not be guaranteed a shirt size. Registration will still be accepted after this date and throughout the games.
