1 TFTTB Golf Team Confirmation Packet Welcome to The First Tee of Tampa Bay's Golf Team! We fully expect that your child will have lots of fun, meet new friends and play lots of good golf. Within this packet are several things of which you and your child should be aware. Please take a few minutes prior to your child's first match to review these materials. Enclosed are the following: 1. Summary of Weekly Golf Team Match 2. TFTTB Golf Team Reminders 3. Parent's Code of Conduct 4. Benefits for Being an Active Golf Team Member 5. Life Skills Homework Schedule Please save these forms and documents until needed as instructed by the Golf Team coach. As always, the most important thing about playing golf is to be safe and have fun!!! In case of inclement weather, call to see if the match has been postponed for the day.

2 Summary of Weekly Golf Team Match 1. Welcome kids and remind about safety/facility rules, announcements, etc. 2. Announce winning teams/contests from previous week if applicable 3. Supervised Practice Stations A - Short Game & Driving Range 4. Golf Rules & Etiquette Lessons of the Day 5. Supervised Practice Stations B - Short Game & Driving Range 6. Life Skill Lessons of the Day 7. Announce match format of the day & make pairings 8. Tee off in groups. Children in later groups can continue supervised practice 9. Children go home when finished their round

3 TFTTB Golf Team Reminders 1. In case of inclement weather, call to see if the match has been postponed for the day. If a match needs to be cancelled for a non-weather related reason, a staff member will call you. Matches cancelled due to inclement weather will be made up on your Golf Team's specified makeup day if possible. 2. Once the session has started, the Golf Team will practice and play weekly 3 to 9 hole matches depending on age, ability and other factors. The Golf Team will meet once per week for seven weeks. Please have your child arrive at least ten minutes early so that the coach can begin on time. We encourage parents to meet the coach prior to the first match and stay for the introduction meeting. 3. It is not required, but we encourage you (parent) to stay to walk along with your child during the Golf Team matches to help supervise and ensure a good pace of play. 4. In most locations, the Golf Team will meet at the clubhouse or putting green on the first day. 5. Your child is welcome to use his/her own golf clubs during the lessons, but we will provide clubs for those who do not have them. 6. We ask that your child wear clean sneakers or comfortable shoes, dress shorts or pants, a hat and a collared shirt during each match. Sandals, high heeled shoes and jeans are not allowed. 7. If your child is going to be absent or late for a match, please let the coach know ahead of time if possible. Continued unexcused absences may result in removal from the program and jeopardize enrollment eligibility in future TFTTB programs. If your child is unable to continue with or participate in a session that he or she is registered, please call TFTTB office immediately. 8. If you need to cancel your registration, program fees may be transferred to a future program if cancellation occurs before registration deadline. 4 Parent's Code of Conduct "In golf, customs of etiquette and decorum are just as important as rules governing play." It is appropriate for parents and spectators to applaud successful strokes, but in order to secure the spirit of the game, we ask parents and spectators to please adhere to the following guidelines: (Please note that if any of the following guidelines are perceived as broken by a TFTTB coach, the player may be subject to penalty) 1. Parents may walk along with their child, but they must keep the conversation with the player to words of encouragement. Excessive coaching or negative feedback are not allowed. Let your child play. 2. Spectators attend TFTTB Golf Team matches at their own risk. 3. Please mute/put on vibrate all cell phones during matches. 4. TFTTB does not allow spectator carts unless paid for by the spectator AND it is deemed permissible by the golf course. 5. For your personal safety, we ask you exercise caution at all times. When inclement weather moves into the area, TFTTB will suspend play. Accordingly, you should seek shelter immediately. The TFTTB staff will evacuate players from the course first and then spectators.

5 Benefits for Being an Active TFTTB Golf Team Member 1. Supervised practice time and match play - Receive supervised practice time for skill development and play nine hole matches once/week for 7 weeks 2. Local discounts - Eligible for the following special greens and range fee rates at the three Tampa Sports Authority Courses (Rogers Park, Rocky Point, Babe Zaharias)* A. Greens fees: TFTTB Golf Team Member pays $1 for every nine or eighteen holes during the following days & times: 1. School Year: Seven days/week, 3:00 pm or later 2. Summer: M-F, 8:00 am or later. Sat & Sun, 3:00 pm or later. B. Driving Range fees: TFTTB Golf Team Member pays $1 for every large buckets (2 tokens) during the following days & times: 1. School Year: M-F, 3:00 pm or later. Sat & Sun, 8:00 am or later. 2. Summer: Seven days/week, 8:00 am or later. * Greens and practice range rates based on general availability of the golf course. Each golf course has the right to limit or deny access on a particular day based on its discretion (weather, scheduling conflicts, special events, etc.). 3. Eligible for TFTTB Travel Team matches - The TFTTB Travel Team will be formed from members of the active TFTTB Golf Team. The TFTTB Travel Team will play golf at different local sites throughout the year, either with other TFTTB Golf Team members or against children from other golf programs. Dates, times and courses will be determined. 4. Access to new or slightly used golf equipment, including full sets - TFTTB often received new or slightly used golf equipment (balls, tees, shoes, clubs, etc.) throughout the year. Active TFTTB Golf Team members will have first access to these items if they so choose. For those who need it, TFTTB will also give Team members a set of used golf clubs free of charge. 5. Eligible for Special Events - Active TFTTB Golf Team Members will be chosen for certain special events throughout the year including but not limited to: A. Field trips (Valspar Championship, Golf Hall of Fame, etc.) B. Special Playing Opportunities (Golf Outing Fundraisers, Special Matches, etc.) C. Local and/or National First Tee Events (Life Skills Academy, TFT Disney Academy, Pebble Beach Pro-Am, etc.) D. Employment Opportunities (Group Golf Lessons, Summer Golf Camps, TSA golf courses, etc.) 6. Non-TFTTB Golf Tournament Discounts - The First Tee of Tampa Bay encourages all of our Golf Team members to compete in local golf tournaments outside of The First Tee. As a member of the TFTTB Golf Team, you may be eligible for discounts on application and/or registration fees for these tournaments. If interested in applying for these discounts, please contact The First Tee of Tampa Bay for more detailed information. 7. College Scholarships - There may be college scholarships available to First Tee members each year. The First Tee of Tampa Bay will prioritize active TFTTB Golf Team members when these opportunities become available. 8. Other - The First Tee of Tampa Bay will look to active TFTTB Golf Team members first whenever there are opportunities for children in the area.
