The following competitions were held and attended by Boland players during the year: Boland Junior Championship: Kuilsriver Golf Club 10 th & 11 th January The third Junior Championships had 52 entries from across the country including 13 from Boland. A Division Bianca Theron 1st; Bianca Lohbauer 13 th ; Olivia le Roux 15th B Division Cassidy Williams 1 st, Crystal Beukes 2 nd ; Nadia Lawrence 6 th ; Elze Botha 8 th ; Chantelle Bader 10 th ; Zilke Bal 11th C Division Megan O Grady 4 th ; Megan Louw 7 th ; D Division Amore Steyn 1 st Gauteng North Junior Open Services Golf Club 27 th January. Bianca Lohbauer finished 2 nd in the A Division followed by Bianca Theron in 3 rd place. Eastern Cape Championships: Humewood Golf Club, 11 th - 13 th February In the A Div Bianca Theron came 3 rd gross and 7th nett; Bianca Lohbauer was 12 th gross. Town vs. Country : Kleinmond Golf Club, 18 th February In a magnificent turnaround in fortunes Boland Ladies Golf won all three trophies! A Division The A division won 5-3; winners were Lynne Behagg, Annerie Coetzee, Cheryl Richardson, Linky Malan and Annemie du Toit. Jackie Lester Rose Bowl won by Boland Winners were Ronel Basson, Charlene Theunissen, Magda Flores, Midge Cunnington and Martie Kotze (halved match). Rina Lifman Trophy won by Boland Winners were Sheila Augustyn, Lente Botha, Wilma Emmenis, Miriam Squires, Kalla Venter and Marion Dorrington (halved match). KZNLGA Championships:Royal Durban Bianca Theron tied 3 rd in the A Division, Cassidy Williams finished 23 rd. Border Championships:East London: 23 rd -26 th February The 36 Hole Strokeplay Event was won by Bianca Theron. Closed Megan O Grady 69; R-up Amore Steyn 66

Silver, Bronze and Copper Cups: Arabella Golf Estate, 25th April Silver Division (0-18) Best Nett: Terri Sulley (Hermanus) Best Gross: Leanke Vlok (Porterville) Bronze Division (19-25) Best Nett: Yvette Theron (Paarl) Best Gross: Yvette Theron (Paarl) Copper Division (26-35) Best Points: Sriritana Chanpordang (Somerset West) Seniors Terri Sulley (Hermanus) Free State & NC Championships: Clarens Golf Estate: 27 th /28th April Bianca Theron finished in 15 th position in the Gross competition.. Gauteng Champs: Randpark 4 th, 5 th & 6 th May Bianca Theron finished 3 rd and Bianca Lohbauer 17 th Rooibos Inter Club Team Championships: Hermanus Golf Club :3 rd -5th May A Div Stroke Play combined handicaps up to 24 Best Gross 54 Holes Best Nett 54 Holes L Smit & J Watson (Mowbray) L Smit & J Watson (Mowbray) 2 B Div Stroke Play Best Gross & Nett L Venter & D Inglis (Rondebosch) C Div Stableford D Div Stableford S Kron & C Mould (Rondebosch) L Jacobs & D Douglas (Somerset West)) The Inter Club tournament will be hosted by Boland in 2014 at Robertson Golf Club. Gauteng Championships Randpark 5 th & 6 th May Bianca Theron finished 3 rd and Bianca Lohbauer 17 th. Regional All Africa Centurion 14 th -16 th May Bianca Theron finished 4 th. WGSA 72 Hole Team Championships: Maccauvlei: 26 th - 29 th May Individual Bianca Theron (8 th ), Bianca Lohbauer (27th), Leanke Vlok, Crystal Beukes,Cassidy Williams & Anneke Lohbauer represented BLG. In the A Division Teams Championship Boland A finished 5 th and the B squad finished 10 th. Jakarta, Indonesia, Bianca Lohbauer received a special invitation to play. Nomads S A Girls 18 and under Championships: Orkney Golf Club, 23rd to 25th June BLG was represented by Bianca Theron, Bianca Lohbauer, Cassidy Williams, Olivia le Roux, Crystal Beukes, Megan O Grady, Elze Botha and Zilke Bal. SA Womens Amateur Matchplay7 th -10 th July, Milnerton BLG was represented by Olivia le Roux, who won the Plate event, Bianca Theron, Bianca Lohbauer, Leanke Vlok, Crystal Beukes, Linky Malan, Lynne Behagg, Gauteng Junior Championship Randpark 4 th -8 th August BLG was represented by Bianca Lohbauer, Crystal Beukes & Cassidy Williams.

Sanlam Cancer Regional Final: Arabella Golf Estate,18 th August A Division Erika Lefson (Arabella) 33 pts B Division Ronel Kriel (Montagu) 34 pts C Division Tarryn Borsutsky (Devonvale) 38 pts Southern Cape Championships: Kingswood Golf Club, 31 st Aug & 1 st Sept The A Division was won by Bianca Theron with Bianca Lohbauer 11 th and Crystal Beukes 16 th. Bianca T also won the Gross Junior and was second net. Adrienne Kruger was second in the B Division in both gross and net. WGSA Inter provincial Championships: Port Elizabeth GC, 22 nd 27 th September BLG entered Olivia le Roux, Maggie Minnie, Leanke Vlok. Bianca Lohbauer, Bianca Theron and Crystal Beukes. The A team qualified to play in Section A2 where they finished 3 rd. Ekurhuleni Junior Open: ERPM: 6 th October Bianca Lohbauer 6 th, Bianca Theron 13 th and. Crystal Beukes came 19 th. BLG Ladies Championships: Somerset West Golf Club, 13 th -16 th October Sponsored by Boland Nomads and Rola Motors The turn-out at the Boland Champs this year was very disappointing with just 28 players in the A division, 12 in B division and 8 in C division. The majority of the top players participated but there was very little support from local clubs. Ackerman Championships: Rondebosch Golf Club 19 th & 20th October The following players participated in the Ackerman Championships: Bianca Lohbauer ; Bianca Theron, Crystal Beukes, Annerie Coetzee. The Sanlam Cancer National Final: Sun City: 21 st & 22 nd October Erica Lefson (Arabella), Tarryn Borsutzky (Devonvale) and Ronel Kriel (Montagu) were the Boland participants. SA Mid Amateur Championship: Gracelands Golf Club: 4 h November There were no BLG participants! 5 th Albatross International Junior Girls championship, India, Nov 6 th Bianca Theron tied for 8 th in the individual event and, with Cara Gorlei finished 4 th in the girls championship and 8 th in the combined girls & boys event, BLG Girls Love Golf Day: Wellington Golf Club, 3rd December 2012 A field of 15 girls participated in the event and congratulations go to Anneke Bassoon, Malmesbury. and Cherney Moore, Picketberg for winning their age groups. Boland Junior Sportswoman of the Year (Boland Sports Council) Bianca Theron BLG League : Country Trophy: Paarl Golf Club BOLAND LADIES GOLF EXECUTIVE: 10 Executive meetings took place as well as two Bi-Annual meetings, in February at Strand and in August at Paarl. Support by the clubs was similar to Sandhills Cup: Hermanus Golf Club Sincere thanks to our sponsors and donors for their generous support during this past year. Winelands Trophy Somerset West Golf Club Thank you to Strand Golf Club, Paarl Golf Club and Stellenbosch Golf Club for the use of their facilities for all of our Executive meetings. Order of Merit, Boland Honours and Special Awards: The Annual Awards Ceremony took place after the AGM on 27th November at Stellenbosch Golf club The following presentations were made: Senior Order of Merit Bianca Theron (Kuilsriver) Runner up: Leanke Vlok (Porterville) 4 Thank you to all the Clubs who hosted various Boland fixtures, in particular the management, staff and Lady Captains, for their assistance and a special word of thanks to all the Boland Clubs for your wonderful support during the year. Various members of the Executive have been privileged to have been invited as guests to many of the Club Open Days. We really appreciate this very much. Thank you once again.

5 has been a very busy and successful year for Boland Ladies Golf. We have seen improvements in the number of players who participated in the Provincial Events and also in their results both on an individual level as well as in the National team events. Congratulations to those players who won their own Club Championship. Our congratulations to all players who participated and particularly to Bianca Theron who has had a most fantastic year, finishing 1 st on the WGSA Junior Order of Merit, representing SA in India, at the Anneke Invitational (Sweden) and at the Girls British Open, gaining her Protea Colours. I wish to thank the retiring Executive members, Paddy Goodwin and Marion Stewart for their hard work, assistance and service to Boland Ladies Golf. I would also like to thank Cynthia, her colleagues at WGSA plus the other provincial Secretaries for their help, guidance and cooperation throughout the year. I am sorry that, through a Government initiative regarding provincial boundaries, BLG loses 15 clubs which include Strand, Somerset West, Helderberg & Kuilsriver, clubs that have been great supporters of BLG. I wish them well with Western Province but at the same time welcome De Zalze to Boland Ladies we look forward to their participation in the union. This report brings to a close, my third year as Secretary on the Executive. My involvement with Boland golf continues to be interesting and I thank the BLG Executives, the Management & Lady Captains of all of our Clubs for their support and assistance over this period.
