22 Mixed & Members Xmas Party Club Wednesday 13th December Ladies 9 Hole Social Day/Presentation Christmas Luncheon From Saturday 16 th December to Tuesday 30 th January 2018 Tuesday and Saturday Competitions for Men and Ladies will be: Stableford Medleys excluding 6 th January which will be Stroke for Men and Stableford for Ladies. THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW: Report to the pro shop at least 15 minutes before you tee off. Contact the pro shop if you are unable to play. Ensure that you carry your sand bucket at all times, replace your divots and repair any plug marks on the green. Measuring devices are allowed. Metal spikes are allowed on course, but not in club house. Mobile phones allowed, but should be turned off or on silent. DRESS CODE: Neat and tidy attire. CONDITIONS OF PLAY Handicap and signature of the player and marker must be shown on the completed card. Any card incorrectly marked will be disqualified. Page 22

23 Each player is responsible for playing to their correct handicap. Any reduction is automatic and comes into effect as soon as the score is recorded. Competitors are expected to return a score card after each and every competition round. Repeated non returners of cards will be subject to committee scrutiny and possible suspensions of play. All complaints regarding competitions shall be directed to the match committee. The match committee reserves the right to alter this program and the method of play at any time. The match committee has the control of the competition at all times including the control of the player. FOURSOMES COMPETITION Two players play as partners and use only one ball. The players play alternately from the tee and thereafter play alternately during the play of each hole. Scoring is as per stroke play and the total is subject to a deduction of half the aggregate handicap. MIXED FOURSOMES As per the above, except ladies play from the even numbered ladies tees and observe their own local rules. CANADIAN FOURSOMES Both players play tee shots at every hole and the best ball is chosen. Shots are played alternately with that ball until holed out. 3/8th aggregate handicap is used. 2 STROKE CANADIAN FOURSOMES Page 23

AMERICAN FOURSOMES Both players play tee shots at every hole then play a second shot with their partners ball. One ball is selected and alternate play continues as a foursomes with the owner of the ball playing the third shot. 3/8th aggregate handicap is used. AMBROSE COMPETITION A team event of 2,3 or 4 players. Each player plays a tee shot. The best or selected ball is marked. This ball may be played first as it lies or lifted or played in another position of play. Balls are to be placed through the green within one club length no nearer the hole and in the same condition of play i.e. not from rough to fairway. On the green balls are to be played within one putter head s length no nearer the hole of the selected ball. Once the ball is holed out that score is recorded.
