1 2016 AUSTRALIAN OLYMPIC TEAM ARCHERY AUSTRALIA NOMINATION CRITERIA ARCHERY NOTE: This document is a template only. The AOC reserves the right to require amendments to the Nomination Criteria and amend its Selection Criteria as necessary, particularly where there is a change to the Qualification System or significant circumstances affecting the nomination process. 1 Shadow Team (1) Archery Australia (AA) will choose Athletes from within its sport to be members of the AOC s Shadow Team. The AOC may also recognise other Athletes from within this sport to be members of the Shadow Team. (2) In order to be chosen by AA as a member of the Shadow Team each Athlete must: (a) (b) (c) be a current financial affiliate of AA and be in Good Standing with AA; register their interest in Shadow Team inclusion to AA by no later than 2 November 2015 by completing the AA Olympic Shadow Team nomination form found on the AA website ( and shoot the following Minimum Qualification Score (MQS) or higher a minimum of three times within the period 1st September 2015 to 1 January 2016: MQS - Minimum Qualifying Score MQS Male 635 Female 610 (3) In order to be recognised as a member of the Shadow Team the Athlete must have signed: (a) (b) the Consent to Shadow Team Membership Form (FORM 1A, attached) and in the case of minors, the Parents/Guardians Acknowledgment for Minors Form (Attachment 1B) and provided it electronically to the AOC; and the AOC statutory declaration regarding anti-doping matters as required by the AOC from time to time (FORM 2, attached) and provide the original to the AOC at PO Box R1788 Royal Exchange NSW (4) AA will provide all Athletes chosen or recognised as members of the Shadow Team with the Selection Criteria and this Nomination Criteria. The AOC Olympic Team Selection By-Law and the Qualification System will be made available on the AOC s website ( (5) AA will advise the AOC of the Athletes that it has chosen as members of the Shadow Team at such time as required by the AOC. (6) If an Athlete breaches the requirements of the Nomination Criteria, the Selection Criteria or the AOC Olympic Team Selection By-Law, AA or AOC may suspend or terminate the Athlete s membership of the Shadow Team. 2 Nomination of Athletes For the purposes of nomination to the AOC of Athletes for selection to the 2016 Australian Olympic Team the AA will: 1

2 (1) where Australia has qualified a Team quota place to compete at the 2016 Olympic Games, the AA Selection Panel will recommend nominations to the AA Board for ratification, and AA will nominate athletes (from the respective gender) to the AOC for selection in accordance with the following process: (a) (b) all Shadow Team athletes will be invited to attend Day 1 of Nomination Camp A in January 2016 (Date & Location TBC); Maximum of 8 athletes in the respective gender at the completion of Day 1 of Nomination Camp A will be invited to attend Day 2 of Nomination Camp A based on the following factors: i. Top 7 athletes in the respective gender based on performance at Day 1 of Nomination Camp A: 70m x 72 arrows Individual Elimination Match play 80% weighting 20% weighting And ii. 1 additional athlete in the respective gender identified at the sole and absolute discretion of the AA Selection Panel. Without in any way limiting the discretion of the AA Selection Panel, the AA Selection Panel will consider factors including, but not limited to: a. Athlete s individual international performance trend and/or domestic performance trend; and b. Consistency of shooting (e.g. consistent end scores and arrow grouping) both in ranking rounds and Matchplay. iii. In the event of a tie on scores for 7th position under clause 1(b)(i), accumulative points for the 7th position will be resolved by a count back of 10s plus Xs for the 70m x 72 arrow round shot on Day 1 of Nomination Camp A. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs only. If that is still tied then by a single round of match play which will be shot by the athletes who remain tied. (c) From the 8 athletes in the respective gender identified under clause 1(b), a maximum of 6 athletes will be invited to attend Nomination Camp B (5 9 March 2016, Brisbane) which will incorporate compulsory participation in the Australian Open based on the following factors: i. Top 5 athletes in the respective gender based on performance at Nomination Camp A: Day 1 70m x 72 arrows Day 1 Individual Elimination Match Play Day 2 Round Robin Individual Match Play 50% weighting 15% weighting 35% weighing And ii. 1 additional athlete in the respective gender identified at the sole and absolute discretion of the AA Selection Panel. Without in any way limiting the discretion of the AA Selection Panel, the AA Selection Panel will consider factors including, but not limited to:

3 a. Athlete s individual international performance trend and/or domestic performance trend; and b. Consistency of shooting (e.g. consistent end scores and arrow grouping) both in ranking rounds and matchplay. iii. In the event of a tie on scores for 5 th position under clause 1(c)(i), accumulative points for the 5th position will be resolved by a count back of 10s plus Xs for the 70m x 72 arrow round shot on Day 1 of Nomination Camp A. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs only. If that is still tied then by a single round of match play which will be shot by the athletes who remain tied. (d) From the 6 athletes in the respective gender identified under clause 1(c), a maximum of 4 athletes will be invited to attend World Cup 1 (April 2016, China) based on the following factors: i. Attendance at the Team Match Play Training Day (Day 5 of Nomination Camp B); ii. Top 3 athletes in the respective gender based on: Nomination Camp A, 70m x 72 arrows Nomination Camp A, Individual Match Play Nomination Camp A, Round Robin Individual Match Play Nomination Camp B, Day 1 70 x 72 arrows Nomination Camp B, Day 1&2 Elimination Match Play Nomination Camp B, Day 3 70 x 72 arrows Nomination Camp B, Day 3 Elimination Match Play Nomination Camp B, Day 4 Round Robin Match Play 10% weighting 5% weighting 10% weighing 25% weighting 5% weighting 25% weighting 5% weighting 15% weighting And iii. 1 additional athlete in the respective gender identified at the sole and absolute discretion of the AA Selection Panel. Without in any way limiting the discretion of the AA Selection Panel, the AA Selection Panel will consider factors including, but not limited to: a. Athlete s individual international performance trend and/or domestic performance trend; b. Consistency of shooting (e.g. consistent end scores and arrow grouping) both in ranking rounds and Matchplay; c. Performance in team shooting training and matches during Nomination Camps; and d. Ability to work and perform has a cohesive member of a team. 3

In the event of a tie for 3 rd position under clause 1(d)(ii), accumulative points that impacts on the selection of the top three ranked Athletes at the completion of Nomination Camp B, the tied athletes will shoot an additional single round of match play against one another. The winner of this match will finish in the higher ranked position. (e) From the 4 athletes in the respective gender identified under clause 1(d), 3 athletes will be identified for nomination to the AOC for selection based on the following factors: i. Top 2 athletes in the respective gender based on: World Cup 170m x 72 arrows World Cup 1 Individual Elimination Match Play Nomination Camp C, Day 1 70m x 72 arrows (AM) Nomination Camp C, Day 1 70m x 72 arrows (PM) Nomination Camp C, Day 2 Elimination Match Play Nomination Camp C, Day 2 Team training 25% weighting 15% weighting 20% weighting 20% weighting 5% weighting Mandatory Attendance Nomination Camp C, Day 3 Round Robin Match Play 15% weighting Nomination Camp C, Day 3 Team training Mandatory Attendance And ii. 1 additional athlete in the respective gender identified at the sole and absolute discretion of the AA Selection Panel. Without in any way limiting the discretion of the AA Selection Panel, the AA Selection Panel will consider factors including, but not limited to: a. Athlete s individual international performance trend and/or domestic performance trend; b. Consistency of shooting (e.g. consistent end scores and arrow grouping) both in ranking rounds and Matchplay; c. Performance in team shooting training and matches during Nomination Camps; and d. Ability to work and perform has a cohesive member of a team. iii. In the event of a tie for the 2 nd position under clause 1(e)(i), accumulative points that impacts on the selection of the second ranked Athlete at the completion of Nomination Camp C it will be resolved by a count back of 10s plus Xs for the three 70m x 72 arrow rounds listed in e(i) of the selection process. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs only from all three rounds. If that is still tied then a count back of 10s plus Xs from World Cup 1 only. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs from World Cup 1 only. If that is still tied then a count back of 10s plus Xs from Nomination Camp C only. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs only from Nomination Camp C. Should the tie still be unresolved then the selection of the 2 nd athlete will be at the discretion

5 of the Selection Committee. However, only the tied athletes will be considered. (2) where Australia has qualified one Individual quota place to compete at the 2016 Olympic Games, the AA Selection Panel will recommend nominations to the AA Board for ratification, and AA will nominate an athlete (from the respective gender) in accordance with the following process: (a) (b) if any Shadow Team athlete shoots 2 x Automatic Qualifying Scores (AQS) as listed in clause 2(2)(b) below between 1 September 2015 and the conclusion of Nomination Camp A, the top ranked athlete following the completion of Nomination Camp C in accordance with clause 2(c) below will be nominated by AA to the AOC for selection. For the avoidance of doubt, the top ranked athlete following the completion of Nomination Camp C may not be the same athlete who shot the 2 x AQS; the AQS scores are as follows: AQS Automatic Qualifying Score AQS Male 680 Female 665 (c) in determining the top ranked athlete to be nominated to the AOC under clause 2(a), AA will follow the process as outlined below: (i) all Shadow Team athletes will be invited to attend Day 1 of Nomination Camp A in January 2016 (Date & Location TBC); (ii) Maximum of 8 athletes in the respective gender at the completion of Day 1 of Nomination Camp A will be invited to attend Day 2 of Nomination Camp A based on the following factors: a. Top 7 athletes in the respective gender based on performance at Day 1 of Nomination Camp A: 70m x 72 arrows Individual Elimination Match play 80% weighting 20% weighting And b. 1 additional athletes in the respective gender identified at the sole and absolute discretion of the AA Selection Panel. Without in any way limiting the discretion of the AA Selection Panel, the AA Selection Panel will consider factors including, but not limited to: i. Athlete s individual international performance trend and/or domestic performance trend; and ii. Consistency of shooting (e.g. consistent end scores and arrow grouping) both in ranking rounds and matchplay. c. In the event of a tie on scores for 7th position under clause 2(c)(ii)(a), accumulative points for the 7th position will be resolved by a count back of 10s plus Xs for the 70m x 72 arrow round shot on Day 1 of Nomination Camp A. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs only. If that is still tied then by a single round of match play which will be shot by the athletes who remain tied. 5

6 (iii) From the 8 athletes in the respective gender identified under clause 2(2)(c)(ii), a maximum of 6 athletes will be invited to attend Nomination Camp B (5 9 March 2016, Brisbane) which will incorporate compulsory participation in the Australian Open based on the following factors: a. Top 5 athletes in the respective gender based on performance at Nomination Camp A: Day 1 70m x 72 arrows Day 1 Individual Elimination Match Play Day 2 Round Robin Individual Match Play 50% weighting 15% weighting 35% weighing And b. 1 additional athlete in the respective gender identified at the sole and absolute discretion of the AA Selection Panel. Without in any way limiting the discretion of the AA Selection Panel, the AA Selection Panel will consider factors including, but not limited to: 1. Athlete s individual international performance trend and/or domestic performance trend; and 2. Consistency of shooting (e.g. consistent end scores and arrow grouping) both in ranking rounds and matchplay. c. In the event of a tie on scores for 5th position under clause 2(c)(iii)(a), accumulative points for the 5th position will be resolved by a count back of 10s plus Xs for the 70m x 72 arrow round shot on Day 1 of Nomination Camp A. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs only. If that is still tied then by a single round of match play which will be shot by the athletes who remain tied. (iv) From the 6 athletes in the respective gender identified under clause 2(c)(iii), a maximum of 4 athletes will be invited to attend World Cup 1 (April 2016, China) based on the following factors: a. Attendance at the Team Match Play Training Day (Day 5 of Nomination Camp B); b. Top 3 athletes in the respective gender based on: Nomination Camp A, 70m x 72 arrows Nomination Camp A, Individual Match Play Nomination Camp A, Round Robin Individual Match Play Nomination Camp B, Day 1 70 x 72 arrows Nomination Camp B, Day 1&2 Elimination Match Play Nomination Camp B, Day 3 70 x 72 arrows Nomination Camp B, Day 3 Elimination Match Play 10% weighting 5% weighting 10% weighing 25% weighting 5% weighting 25% weighting 5% weighting

7 Nomination Camp B, Day 4 Round Robin Match Play 15% weighting And c. 1 additional athlete in the respective gender identified at the sole and absolute discretion of the AA Selection Panel. Without in any way limiting the discretion of the AA Selection Panel, the AA Selection Panel will consider factors including, but not limited to: (i) Athlete s individual international performance trend and/or domestic performance trend; (ii) Consistency of shooting (e.g. consistent end scores and arrow grouping) both in ranking rounds and Matchplay; (iii) Performance in team shooting training and matches during Nomination Camps; and (iv) Ability to work and perform has a cohesive member of a team. d. In the event of a tie for 3rd position under clause 2(c)(iv)(b), accumulative points that impacts on the selection of the top three ranked Athletes at the completion of Nomination Camp B, the tied athletes will shoot an additional single round of match play against one another. The winner of this match will finish in the higher ranked position. (v) From the 4 athletes in the respective gender identified under clause 2(c)(iv), one (1) athlete will be identified for nomination to the AOC for selection based on Nomination Camp A, 70m x 72 arrows Nomination Camp A, Individual Match Play Nomination Camp A, Round Robin Individual Match Play Nomination Camp B, Day 1 70 x 72 arrows Nomination Camp B, Day 1&2 Elimination Match Play Nomination Camp B, Day 3 70 x 72 arrows Nomination Camp B, Day 3 Elimination Match Play Nomination Camp B, Day 4 Round Robin Match Play 5% weighting 2.5% weighting 5% weighing 10% weighting 2.5% weighting 10% weighting 2.5% weighting 7.5% weighting Nomination Camp B, Day 5 Team training World Cup 170m x 72 arrows World Cup 1 Individual Elimination Match Play Nomination Camp C, Day 1 70m x 72 arrows (AM) Mandatory Attendance 17.5% weighting 12.5% weighting 7.5% weighting 7

In the event of a tie for the top position under clause 2(c)(v), accumulative points that impacts on the selection of the top ranked Athlete at the completion of Nomination Camp C it will be resolved by a count back of 10s plus Xs for the three 70m x 72 arrow rounds listed in 2(c)(v) of the selection process. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs only from all six ranking rounds. If that is still tied then a count back of 10s plus Xs from World Cup 1 only. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs from World Cup 1 only. If that is still tied then a count back of 10s plus Xs from Nomination Camp C only. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs only from Nomination Camp C. Should the tie still be unresolved then the selection of the 1 st athlete will be at the discretion of the Selection Committee. However, only the tied athletes will be considered. (d) where no Shadow Team athlete achieves the 2 x AQS scores under clause 2(2)(a) (c) above, AA will identify the athlete in the respective gender to be nominated to the AOC at its sole and absolute discretion. Without in any way limited the discretion of AA, AA will consider factors including, but not limited to: (i) Athlete s individual international performance trend and/or domestic performance trend during ; and (ii) Consistency of shooting (e.g. consistent end scores and arrow grouping) both in ranking rounds and Matchplay in (3) AA will attribute points for the purposes of weighting in clauses 2(1) and 2(2) above in accordance with the Points System attached (Attachment 3). (4) only nominate Athletes who are, or are recognised by the AOC as, members of the Shadow Team; (5) only nominate those Athletes it honestly believes have met the requirements described in the Selection Criteria; (6) only nominate those Athletes who have signed the AOC statutory declaration regarding antidoping matters as required by the AOC from time to time; (7) not nominate more Athletes (including reserves) than the maximum number permitted under the Qualification System; (8) not nominate Athletes who have breached the AOC Anti-Doping By-Law unless the Athlete has already been sanctioned for the breach and has completed the sanction imposed.

9 3 Illness/Misadventure/Extenuating Circumstances This clause will only apply in determining whether an Athlete has met the additional criteria imposed by AA pursuant to clauses 1(2), 2(1), 2(2) and (4): (1) In considering the performances of Athletes at events, trials, training camps or other attendances required under clauses 1(2), 2(1), 2(2) and (4) of this Nomination Criteria AA may in their discretion give weight to extenuating circumstances. (2) For the purposes of this clause 3, extenuating circumstances means an inability to compete and/or attend events, trials, training camps or other attendances arising from: (a) injury or illness; (b) equipment failure (where applicable); (c) travel delays; (d) (e) bereavement or disability arising from death or serious illness of an immediate family member; and/or any other factors reasonably considered by AA to constitute extenuating circumstances. (3) Athletes unable to compete at events, trials, training camps or other attendances required under this Nomination Criteria must advise the AA High Performance Manager in writing of this fact and the reasons before the commencement of the events, trials, training camps or other attendances required under this Nomination Criteria. (4) In the case of illness or injury, Athletes will be required to undergo a medical examination by a doctor or doctors nominated by AA. (5) A decision in each case of extenuating circumstances will be made by AA on an individual basis. Any such decision will not be binding on the AOC. 4 Additional Performance Requirements (1) The AA Selection Panel must be satisfied that selected athletes are committed to the required AA training program and are preparing in a manner consistent with peak performance at the 2016 Olympic Games. (2) Selected Athletes will be required, to the satisfaction of the AA Selection Panel, to complete the training program, feedback and participation requirements as follows: (a) attend World Cup 3, Turkey and 3 day training camp 8-21 June; (b) attend OG training camp in Australia from July; (c) depart for the Olympic Games on 23 July and be available until at least 13 August; (d) complete National Coach training program at their usual training venue; and (e) provide feedback daily via AMS on training sessions and general health and wellbeing. (3) If the AA Selection Panel are of the view that participation of the selected athlete is not in the best interest of the team or the individual s performance, the AA Selection Panel will make a recommendation to the AA Board to deselect the athlete. If approved by the AA Board, a formal request will be submitted to the AOC. Any recommendation by AA to the AOC is not binding on the AOC, and the AOC will make a decision in its sole and absolute discretion. (4) If an athlete is de-selected under this clause, or for any other circumstance following selection, the AA Selection Panel may request that the AA Board consider a replacement, provided the replacement athlete has achieved the necessary performance standards. If a replacement athlete is identified, the AA Selection Panel will make a recommendation to the AA Board. If approved by the AA Board, the athlete will be nominated to the AOC. The AOC will consider 9

10 5 Making of Nominations selection at its sole and absolute discretion, and in consideration of Rio 2016 and IOC deadlines. Nominations by AA must be received by the AOC by 5pm AEST on Monday 4 July Nominations made after this deadline (or within such further deadline as the AOC may allow) will be invalid unless made pursuant to a direction or award in respect of an appeal against non-nomination to the AA Appeals Tribunal or the Court of Arbitration for Sport pursuant to the AOC s Olympic Team Selection By-Law and which appeal had been commenced prior to the deadline for receipt of nominations by the AOC. The 5pm AEST on Monday 4 July 2016 deadline for the making of nominations by AA applies irrespective of any deadline prescribed under the Qualification System or by the Organising Committee for the 2016 Olympic Games. 6 Amendments to Nomination Criteria This Nomination Criteria may be amended by AA with the prior written approval of the AOC. Any amended Nomination Criteria will be distributed by AA directly to all Members of the Shadow Squad via and will also be available via the AA website. 7 Interpretation (1) Words used in this Nomination Criteria have the same meaning ascribed to them in the AOC s Olympic Team Selection By-Law unless a contrary meaning appears from the context. (2) In this Nomination Criteria the following words and phrases have the following meanings: AA Selection Panel: means the National Coach and the Chair of the High Performance Committee plus one other person as appointed by the AA Board. AQS: means Automatic Qualifying Score MQS: means Minimum Qualification Score. For the avoidance of doubt these are 70m x 72 arrow rounds shot outdoors and can only be obtained from a round shot in the following events: International, National and/or Domestic World Archery Registered Tournament An Archery Australia registered Qualifying and Ranking Event (QRE) Qualification System: means the 2016 World Archery Qualification System issued and approved by the IOC. 8 Law This document is governed by the laws applicable in the State of New South Wales.

11 2016 AUSTRALIAN OLYMPIC TEAM CONSENT TO SHADOW TEAM MEMBERSHIP [insert name of NF] [insert name of Athlete] I consent to being a member of the Shadow Team for nomination by the above NF for selection to the 2016 Australian Olympic Team. I make this acknowledgement honestly and fully and confirm that this acknowledgement is not false or misleading: 1 I have been provided with, or been given access to, and will be bound by and observe the terms of the AOC Olympic Team Selection By-Law, the AOC Selection Criteria applicable to my sport and my NF s Nomination Criteria in force and as amended from time to time. I acknowledge that all members of the Shadow Team will likewise be bound by and must observe the same terms. 2 The AOC s Olympic Team Selection By-Law and the Selection Criteria may be amended by the AOC from time to time. I will be bound by and observe the AOC s Olympic Team Selection By-Law and the Selection Criteria as amended, and acknowledge that any amendments to the AOC s Selection By-Law and Selection Criteria will be posted to the AOC s website ( along with the Qualification System applicable to my event. 3 The AOC s Constitution and AOC By-Laws, including but not limited to the AOC Anti-Doping By- Law and AOC Ethical Behaviour By-Law may be amended by the AOC from time to time. To the extent to which they apply to me, I will comply with and be bound by all AOC By-Laws, and acknowledge that amendments to AOC By-Laws will be posted to the AOC s website ( 4 I have been provided with, and will provide to the AOC, the AOC statutory declaration regarding antidoping matters as required by the AOC from time to time. 5 The decision whether or not to nominate me to the AOC for selection in the 2016 Australian Olympic Team is subject to the Nomination Criteria and is at the discretion of my NF. 6 In the event that my NF nominates me to the AOC for selection in the 2016 Australian Olympic Team I am not guaranteed to be selected in the 2016 Australian Olympic Team. The decision whether or not to select me as a member of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team is subject to the AOC s Olympic Team Selection By-Law and Selection Criteria and is at the absolute discretion of the AOC. 7 (1) I have not at any time engaged in Prohibited Association as prescribed under Article 2.10 of the World Anti-Doping Authority (WADA) Code (in effect from 1 January 2015), meaning association in a professional or sport-related capacity with any Athlete Support Personnel who: (a) (b) (c) is serving a period of Ineligibility; or has been convicted or found in a criminal, disciplinary or professional proceeding to have engaged in conduct which would have constituted a violation of anti-doping rules; or is serving as a front or intermediary for an individual described in (a) or (b) above. 11

12 (2) I have not at any time engaged in conduct (whether publicly known or not and whether before or after the date of my selection), which has brought, brings or would have the tendency to bring me or my sport into disrepute or censure, or which is or would have the tendency to be inconsistent with, contrary to or prejudicial to the best interests, image or values of the AOC or Team Sponsors, or as a result of which my membership would not be or would not likely be in the best interests of the 2016 Australian Olympic Team or the Shadow Team; (3) I have not at any time (whether before or after the date of my selection) been convicted of, or charged with, any serious offence involving violence, alcohol or drugs, or any sex offence, or any offence relating to any betting or gambling activities on sport, or any offence which is punishable by imprisonment; (4) I have and will continue to honestly and fully disclose information to my NF and the AOC concerning any conduct that might be in breach of (1),(2) or (3) above or concerning any criminal offence of whatever nature, with which I have been charged, or of which the I have been convicted, and consent to my NF and the AOC making enquiries to relevant authorities for any details of my criminal record (if any), including details of any charges pending or any spent convictions disclosable by law, and consent to those authorities providing that information in answer to those enquiries; (5) any matter arising under (1), (2),(3) or (4) above is to be determined, or breach thereof excused, by the AOC in its sole and absolute discretion. Any announcement to be made or notice required to be sent pursuant to the AOC s Olympic Team Selection By-Law may be sent to one or more of the above contacts, or such other contact as notified in writing by me, and in the case of: (1) post, the announcement or notice is deemed to have been received by me by properly addressing, prepaying and posting a letter containing the announcement or notice, and to have been received by me on the third business day after the date of its posting. Any announcement or notice sent by post to me overseas will be forwarded by air mail; (2) facsimile transmission, the announcement or notice is deemed to have been received by me by properly addressing the facsimile transmission and transmitting it to the number supplied by me and to have been received by me the next business day after the date of its transmission; and

13 (3) , the announcement or notice is deemed to have been received by me by properly addressing the address and transmitting it to the address supplied by me and to have been received by me on the next business day after the date of transmission unless the AOC or NF is advised that the transmission failed to send to the addressee. 10 I acknowledge that Specialised Equipment means equipment acknowledged by the AOC as having a material effect on performance due to the specialised characteristics of the equipment, pursuant to Bye- Law 2.3 of Rules 27 and 28 of the Olympic Charter. If I wish to utilise Specialised Equipment at the Games, I will submit a request in writing to the AOC Director of Sport no later than 6 months prior to the Games (being 5 February 2016). This request is subject to the approval of the AOC in accordance with the 2016 Australian Olympic Team Membership Agreement Athletes. 11 This consent is governed by the laws applicable in the State of New South Wales. 15 Attachment 3 Scoring / Ranking system for AOC Nomination Points will be accumulated based on performances with the top performer receiving one point and the worst performer scoring the most points possible. The lower the total number of points an athlete accumulates the better their performance has been. Scoring system All Nomination Camps including the Australian Open 72 Arrow Rounds Training Camps including Australian Open At the completion of each round of 70m x 72 arrows the athlete with the best score will receive 1 point, second will receive 2 points and so on. Where two or more athletes shoot the same score in a 72 arrow round, final ranking will be resolved by a count back of 10s plus Xs for the round that is tied. If that is still tied then a count back of Xs. If it is still tied then all tied athletes will be awarded the same number of points. Match Play Training Camps including Australian Open Elimination Match Play Points will be awarded on final places following the elimination match play with the highest finishing athlete receiving 1 point the, 2 nd receiving 2 and so on. In the event that two or more athletes get eliminated in the same round the athlete with the highest 70m x 72 arrow qualification round score from the applicable ranking round will be considered to have finished in the highest position possible, with the athlete who scored the lowest in the qualification round being considered to have finished in the lowest position possible. In a case where there is still a tie because two or more athletes who have been eliminated also shot the same 72 arrow score a count back of 10 s and Xs will be conducted. Should there still be a time the tied athletes will receive equal points. Round-Robin Match Play Points will be awarded for each individual match that is played on the following basis: Men Win the match and shoot a score of 28 or higher each end of the match - 1 point Win match and does not shoot a score of 28 or higher each end of the match - 2 point Loose match and shoot a score of 28 or higher each end of the match 2 points Loose match and does not shoot at a score of 28 or higher each end of the match 3 points Women Win the match and shoot a score of 27 or higher each end of the match - 1 point Win match and does not shoot a score of 27 or higher each end of the match - 2 point Loose match and shoot a score of 27 or higher each end of the match 2 points Loose match and does not shoot at a score of 27 or higher each end of the match 3 points Scoring system World Cup 1, 2016 Ranking Round For international ranking results athletes will be allocated points based on where they ranked against all competitors using the following table: 15

16 Rank Points Matchplay Points will be allocated on final Matchplay results using the following table: Place Points Top 2 1 1/2 2 1/4 3 1/8 4 1/16 5 1/24 6 1/48 7 Thus an athlete who is eliminated 1/4 round will be allocated 3 points and one who gets eliminated in the 1/16 round 5 points.
