CONDITION BOOK CORRECTION: Wed, Oct 17-Race 1 should be 1 mile-turf and Thur, Oct 25-Race S1 should be Fillies and Mares ADDRESSING SHIP-INS:Protocol for the Spring Meet:Trainers shipping horses (other than stakes or allowance) to race and return that do not have permanent stalls assigned at Keeneland will be assigned stalls in the receiving barns. The stakes coordinator and stable manager will assign stalls to each horse shipping in for stakes and allowance races. RACE SHUTTLE: Sallee will provide daily shuttle service to Keeneland from Churchill Downs, Trackside, Turfway Park and the Thoroughbred Center. VALID HEALTH and COGGINS CERTIFICATES MUST ACCOMPANY EACH HORSE TO RIDE ON THE SHUTTLE - NO EXCEPTIONS! Sign-up must be done by noon the day before the race. At CHURCHILL DOWNS the shuttle for horses in races 1 thru 5 WILL LEAVE at 6:30 a.m. and for races 6 thru the last the shuttle WILL LEAVE at 8:30 a.m. FOR PICK UP TIMES AT TRACKSIDE AND CHURCHILL DOWNS call Sandy Montgomery at TURFWAY AND THE THOROUGHBRED CENTER call the office at THE SHUTTLE IS TO BE USED FOR RACE DAY HORSES ONLY - NO EXCEPTIONS! Paddock Schooling Hours: RACE DAYS: 6am-10am and noon-12:45 - Contact the paddock judge for permission during the race days. DARK DAYS: 6am-noon. Turf works for horses nominated in CLOSED stakes will be Sunday and Tuesday. Pick up your turf slips from Allison Deluca in the racing office. In the interest of safety and security of horses and horsemen, access to the saddling paddock and walking ring for stakes races will be limited to those who are stakes owners and trainers. Trainers may pick up passes in the racing office. Owners: contact Ashley Whalen (ext 4745) Lasix horses will be treated in their stalls between 4 to 4 1/2 hours prior to their scheduled post time. An attendant must be present with the horse. Unattended horses will not be treated. Trainers should promptly notify the Stall Office if horses are not in their assigned stalls. ALL HORSES MUST REPORT TO BARN 21 FORTY (40) MINUTES PRIOR TO POST-TIME FOR TCO2 TESTING. WILL TEST A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) COMPLETE RACES EACH DAY WITH ALL HORSES IN THE SELECTED RACES TESTED. THE RECEIVING BARN IS BARN #3 The starting gate will be open Tuesday-Sunday - 7:00 am to 9:30 am. No jogging the wrong way past the quarter pole between 7:00 and 9:30 during gate schooling hours. Catholic Mass will be held in the Sales Pavillion on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Protestant Service will be on Sundays at 10:20 a.m., third floor grandstand. Chapel Service will be held on Tuesdays, 7:00 pm in the recreation room at the kitchen. STAKES SCRATCH RULE: A horse may be scratched from a stakes race for any reason at any time until FOUR HOURS prior to post time for the race by obtaining written approval from the stewards. Scratches due to track condition will be considered until post time. If an AE is excluded at regular scratch time, a valid physical reason is required.
