BORDEAUX - LE BOUSCAT - 12th May Trainer of the day : Jean-Claude Rouget (205, 204, 301, 405, 505) Jockey of the day : Cristian Demuro (204, 302, 407, 505) Horse of the day : Khataab (707) Dark Horse : Missing Ones (906) Race 1 1. BRAMA DE POMPADOUR - Won smartly over course and distance on debut early April and looks capable of dominating again despite the extra weight 2. DJEBEL DE LA ROQUE - Showed little on his debut at Toulouse three weeks ago and will need to significantly raise his game 3. DI MARIA PY - Gave a fine account of herself when winning over similar trip at Toulouse last month and is expected to put on a good show once again 4. ADAM DU PAON - Fourth on both career starts to date in receipt of weight. No simple task this time around 5. H DES FORGES - Untried colt from a respectable family and a yard in decent form. Worth monitoring

6. LWSAIL - First time out for this colt. Out of a useful mare and anything coming from this stable should be afforded respect. Claim 7. ANNA K D'ALEP - Respectable enough third first time out to Di Maria Py. Better off in the weights this time and has potential to do well (1) BRAMA DE POMPADOUR left quite an impression when winning on debut over course and distance six weeks ago but will be up against a similar debutante winner in (3) DI MARIA PY and she looks the closest danger. (7) ANNA K D'ALEP was third to her that time and should come on for the run and if the untried (5) H DES FORGES proves as promising as he is made out to be there could well be an interesting contest in the offing. (1) BRAMA DE POMPADOUR - (3) DI MARIA PY - (7) ANNA K D'ALEP - (5) H DES FORGES

Race 2 1. ADEQUITO - Very modestly bred colt from a small stable 2. EVENCHOP - Not much to promote this type. Pedigree rather ordinary and little in the family with much ability 3. MIREMONT - Unexceptional bloodlines. Mare ended career over jumps but should at least get the trip 4. SAINT SIMEON - Out of an unraced mare but by a stallion doing well. Hails from a sharp stable and must be respected 5. BOLCHEVIK - Another Le Havre type. Out of a Listed-placed mare and will be ready to run. Claim 6. RIGHT BLOOD - Very ordinarily bred colt but has been supplemented for this event and is worth watching 7. DELFOSA - Filly out of an unraced mare. Chose this race over Angers in 5 days and should prove useful 8. CARTHAGENE - Out of a very well-bred but under-performing mare but from a good stable and not to be discounted 9. MORGATE - Second of Gourdain's runners. Little of note in her pedigree and unlikely to garner much support 10. EFFYWIND - Filly out of an unraced unfashionable mare but from a yard in good form and one to note It is never easy to ignore untried sorts from the Rouget stable and both (5) BOLCHEVIK and (4) SAINT SIMEON appear to have a lot going for them and should prove the ones to watch. (7) DELFOSA had the option of racing at Angers at the weekend but conditions here appear better and there must be something to (6) RIGHT BLOOD being supplemented for the race. (5) BOLCHEVIK - (4) SAINT SIMEON - (7) DELFOSA - (6) RIGHT BLOOD

Race 3 1. SHALANI - Made promising debut over shorter in March and followed up with convincing win fortnight later. Comes here fresh and looks to have a top tier chance 2. SAINT CONTEST - Ran out a 9 lengths winner in Class G at Langon on comeback 11 days ago and on that form should make a big impact here 3. TUPI GUARANI - Has made excellent progress since March debut. Won over course and distance off joint top weight last month and expected once again to give a good account 4. MONTAIGNE - Made up for a disappointing career start with courageous win at Parilly early April and should feature prominently 5. SAGE DE LA GESSE - Won Class G by four lengths last time in receipt of weight but should nonetheless acquit herself well here 6. DEDUCE - Making solid progress this term. Left good impression at Auch mid- April and once again worth a consideration (1) SHALANI has raced just twice to date and his recent score at Tarbes gives him a slight edge over (1) SHALANI who made a fine comeback winning by 9 lengths in a minor event. (4) MONTAIGNE showed his true colours last month at Parilly and on that form will be a serious player although beware the everimproving (3) TUPI GUARANI whose recent course and distance win did more than catch the eye. (1) SHALANI - (2) SAINT CONTEST - (4) MONTAIGNE - (3) TUPI GUARANI

Race 4 1. ZACK HALL - No longer the group horse of old but still has a lot to give however he gives weight to the field and faces a stiff task 2. ART OF ZAPPING - Currently on fine form however a better sort on fibresand. Others preferred 3. ACCENT FRANCAIS - Has demonstrated little on his last four starts and will need to show marked improvement 4. DARK DREAM - Has proved highly competitive in these events of late and is expected to put in another big performance 5. L'ARDENT - A solid campaigner that was bred for this distance. Pleased on recent return to the track and can go better this time around 6. LASEEN - A moderate horse in this category but made a good impression first time back and looks capable of finishing in the mix 7. ESPRIT DE BAILEYS - Returned from his layoff with fine course and distance victory mid-april and although stepping up looks a decent place prospect 8. HISTORY DREAM - Has shown his limits in this category of event and is unlikely to trouble the judge 9. SOLMINA - Has done little to disappoint so far this year. Pleasing runner-up to Esprit De Baileys last time out and can make her presence felt 10. RACING BAY - Unsuccessful on first effort in Quinte competition but has shown a lot since and should acquit himself respectably 11. SKYLINE DU CASSE - Has not done anything of note in Quinte competition for almost two years and offers little hope 12. MY SWEET LORD - Failed to fire on all cylinders on last two at this level and chances once again look limited 13. FONTVIEILLE - Not without ability at this level but needs to make amends for recent Fontainebleau flop 14. MURAFEJ - Very smart colt that showed a lot as a there year-old. Disappointed first start back but should find better ground here. Claim 15. ME TOO - Going well of late in spite of recent Toulouse blip although the step up in class looks too tough an ask 16. TY BOLIDE - Decent handicapper particularly on fibresand however not seen out since late January and should need the run

(14) MURAFEJ has proven himself at this trip and although lacklustre first time back has ideal conditions to open his seasonal account. (6) LASEEN put in some good Quinte runs last year and impressed on her recent comeback although she is 2.5kg worse off. (4) DARK DREAM has three times gone close in the category this year and can do so again while recent course and distance winner (7) ESPRIT DE BAILEYS is also a strong candidate. (5) L'ARDENT is no slouch in these handicaps and can capitalise on his latest start at Tarbes. (14) MURAFEJ - (6) LASEEN - (4) DARK DREAM - (7) ESPRIT DE BAILEYS - (5) L'ARDENT

Race 5 1. MASHKOOR - Made promising debut on Chantilly fibresand in March but disappointed over course and distance second time out. Has considerable potential but needs to confirm 2. FILLMORE EAST - Has looked somewhat ordinary from two so far and will have his work cut out 3. AMERICANCHOP - Has twice failed to make the grade here but drops back down in class and should show improvement 4. SPAIN BOWL - Runner-up to a good colt on debut over track and trip. Has had time to freshen up and should put on a good show 5. OUEZY - Twice placed from two this term. Looks a promising filly and should feature prominently 6. PRINCESS KODIAC - Has placed just once from three since leaving Richard Fahey. Odds stacked against her here 7. SANG ESPAGNOLA - Justifiably unsupported for her debut and is not a consideration in this contest 8. KAKS ROOSID - Did little to catch the eye on her debut mid-april and looks unlikely to influence the outcome 9. SHARLEENA - Has raced twice and disappointed on both occasions. No danger 10. PARTY DRESS - Had few friends on her debut but acquitted herself well over course and distance and if still on form could make her presence felt 11. PATIENTA - Smartly-bred filly that gave a fine account on her only start to date. Has had a decent spell and expected to generate a lot of interest once again 12. DREAMER - The lone debutante of the field. Modestly bred and from a small yard. Unlikely to shake things up (11) PATIENTA has raced just once to date but gave a fine account that time. She comes in fresh and looks to have the measure of (5) OUEZY whose recent course and distance second did not go unnoticed. (1) MASHKOOR may not have confirmed his promising debut next time out but should make amends and could fight it out with the budding (4) SPAIN BOWL for the minor spot.

(11) PATIENTA - (5) OUEZY - (1) MASHKOOR - (4) SPAIN BOWL

Race 6 1. SWEET REVENGE - Goes any distance this sort. Returns from hurdling interlude and appears to have found decent mark at 1200m. Carries a burden but should still go close 2. CALAMARI - Yet to recapture last year's late season form. Three times disappointed so far and needs to confirm 3. ORANGEFIELD - Placed just once from four this year so far and will need to show more 4. DENZIO - Has gone close three from four this year. Got 0.5kg for latest claiming second and should play a role here 5. SUD TEMPETE - Very consistent mare and despite below par comeback should feature prominently. Claim 6. LA LATINA - Has been campaigned unrealistically this term. Drops in class but must confirm 7. ARISTARKO - Moderate colt but has not made the frame on any of last eight starts. Not easy to back 8. SEA TRIAL - Has not disgraced himself this year and the drop in class will improve his chances of making the frame 9. UKRANIAN BLUE - Always gives a good account of herself. Has ideal conditions to show her aptitude over the distance 10. AREOS - Seldom far from the action and latest Maisons-Laffitte run sets him up well for a big run here 11. LEVOILA - Appears to have hit form again after running decent second over the distance at Toulouse. Expected to play a key role this time around 12. BLUE DESIRE - Has been off the boil for some time. Disappointed once again on comeback. Others preferred 13. URAL RIVER - Having difficulty finding his mark. Drops down in trip however chances limited 14. RUSTER - Lost his way late last summer and no sign of imminent return to form (11) LEVOILA showed considerable aptitude for the game late last year and appears to have found his form again. At these weights he should prove the one to beat however top weight (1) SWEET REVENGE looks to have found his mark at this trip and despite the burden can go close. (10) AREOS has made an

excellent return to competition and is well-in enough to make his presence felt with the currently on-form (4) DENZIO looking the best of the rest. (11) LEVOILA - (1) SWEET REVENGE - (10) AREOS - (4) DENZIO

Race 7 1. AL MAHDOD - Consistently gives a good account of himself and twice won over track and trip from four. Carries a burden but competitive nonetheless 2. IBN AZADI - Twice a winner from three so far. Makes his comeback giving away weight but still a danger 3. AL AMARRAD - Decent type but returns to competition after a year's absence and will probably need the run 4. LUCKY SAND - Well regarded at home but has failed to impress so far in France. Drops down the ladder and can make his presence felt 5. PETIT MONSIEUR - Opened his account nicely over similar distance last month and expected to acquit himself well once again 6. BEUNE DE L'ARDUS - Horse with some ability however returning successfully from an extended layoff looks a tough ask 7. KHATAAB - Has shown a lot of ability over 2000m from two to date and on this form looks capable of scoring again 8. MEHDAAF ATHBAH - Made up for a lacklustre debut with a courageous but surprise win at Toulouse. Will generate support 9. MESSINE DE SINUHE - Has twice failed to make good on his early promise and will have a lot to find in this event 10. BABEL DE PALMAS - Placed just the once from 12 career starts and unlikely to influence the outcome 11. MUSCAT AL MAURY - Did little of note from three last year. Unraced since October and will need the run 12. ISABELLA DES SABLES - Career debutante from a modest yard and not expected to shake things up (7) KHATAAB has looked a very smart colt already and at these weights has every chance of doubling up however he faces the ever-consistent (1) AL MAHDOD who despite the weight looks the principal challenger. (8) MEHDAAF ATHBAH came good second time out and after his short break should play an important role although if (2) IBN AZADI can pick up where he left off then form could be turned on its head.

(7) KHATAAB - (1) AL MAHDOD - (8) MEHDAAF ATHBAH - (2) IBN AZADI

Race 8 1. BEST SELLER - An exceptional sort with a 50+% win rate. Made encouraging comeback last month giving weight to the field and should put on a good show second start back 2. KHANGHESE - Gelding with a lot to offer. Finished a neck behind Best Seller for his return from layoff and is expected to make a good impression 3. CRISTAL DE TANUES - Useful colt but outclassed at La Teste last month and at this level will need to show marked improvement 4. BRILLANTE DE TANUES - Only once out of the first two from nine. Excellent runner-up in the reference race last month and should feature prominently 5. TIDJALI D'OR - Reliable type that made a big impact when winning at La Teste mid-april however not as well off at the weights this time but can still make his mark 6. CASA D'ESCAR - No stranger to this level of competition but has twice performed below par this year so far and must confirm 7. FIFTY DU PECOS - Filly with a lot of class. Made excellent return when 3rd to Tidjali D'Or and looks set to put on another good show 8. BEKAA - Ended last season on a low note but looks a new horse this year. At this level however she will have her work cut out 9. VISION D'AVENIR - One of the most consistent in the field however has been off the track for six months. Still a classy mare and could yet pleasantly surprise (1) BEST SELLER is a fine campaigner at this level and his recent comeback at La Teste was impressive given his long absence. (5) TIDJALI D'OR won that event but was in receipt of 7.5kg and even though the margin is reduced this time he should still put in a challenging performance. (4) BRILLANTE DE TANUES and (2) KHANGHESE were 2nd and 5th respectively on that occasion but each has a lot to offer and should both be seen at the business end. (1) BEST SELLER - (5) TIDJALI D'OR - (4) BRILLANTE DE TANUES - (2) KHANGHESE

Race 9 1. JED WATER - Fine mare that looks to be at her best. Beat of host of others here last time out and in spite of the burden looks the obvious pick 2. AIREYBOR - Got the year off to a good start and returns to a more reasonable level however giving weight to all but one will do him no favours 3. BARBANCOURT - Veteran that still has significant ability. Not as rewarding on last two but given the company must be considered a place prospect 4. THE NINAS - Struggling to find form at present and desperately needs to confirm 5. ATHATIR - Ran 1.5 lengths second to Jed Water at Toulouse when 2.5 kg worse off and at today's weights looks capable of challenging for the win 6. MISSING ONES - Enjoying a fine run of form. Is well in here and could spoil things if form is maintained 7. SURSPENDERS - Decent individual and returns to the extended trip and appears capable of making it into the frame here 8. DEMPASAR - Handy type although not the most reliable. Going pleasantly at present but back to a track that does him no favours 9. MISS AS - Useful mar at this trip and although impressive last time over two miles she drops back down with a minor chance 10. GETTY - Overcame a shocking run of form to finish 4th in Saint-Cloud handicap 11 days ago. Repeat unlikely however Simone Brogi is well-armed here with (1) JED WATER and (5) ATHATIR having crossed swords early last month although at today's weights it looks a lot tighter contest. (7) SURSPENDERS has had a brace of return starts and in this company should make an impact however if (3) BARBANCOURT can get back into the swing of things he could run his way into the frame. (1) JED WATER - (5) ATHATIR - (7) SURSPENDERS - (3) BARBANCOURT

His second in a G3 in January reads well in the context of this race. Recent Bordeaux-Le Bouscat winner (11) TITAN DU CLOSET is obviously in form however more has to be taken on trust for (8) UTOPIE CEHERE and (9) VIKING DE TREMAHOU who are both capable of playing major roles at their best. (14) VINCI PIERJI - (11) TITAN DU CLOSET - (8) UTOPIE CEHERE - (9) VIKING DE TREMAHOU

(10) BLACK DIAMOND has started from the 25m handicap mark in his most recent harness races and is interesting from scratch on his ridden debut.

(14) BLEUET DU PARC has frame aspirations on his best form. (9) BINGO D'OR - (10) BLACK DIAMOND - (14) BLEUET DU PARC - (12) BALOU D'ALOUETTE

Of the rest (13) BLUE JAG DE SAON looks most likely to be in the mix at the business end.

will improve on their previous offerings this year. But whether they will be good enough to challenge the unbeaten (3) BALOU DE MAI is another question. The latter aims to make it eight out of eight here and must have every chance of doing so. (3) BALOU DE MAI - (14) BOLT - (5) BOHO PERRINE - (7) BOSS DE BAUDRAIRIE - (13) BALZAC DU CHATELET

AUREA DE GONTIER - Only win dates back to Hasn't troubled the judge so far this year 9. ARANUI - Won at Lyon-La Soie on April 14. Beaten favourite latest when third of 16 at Maure-de-Bretagne 10. ANAR DE JOUDES - Course and distance winner in July. Fourth of 17 at Cholet latest from 25m handicap mark and starts from there again here 11. ABZAC DE FONTAINE - On a hattrick after wins at Durtal and Rambouillet in April 13. AMANCIO DE LOU - Victorious at Les Sables-d'Olonne in August. Best placing this year when third at Angers in March 14. ANAIS D'OLAINE - Two wins this year most recently when favourite at La Capelle on April AUGUSTO - Won twice last July. Sixth of 15 at Caen latest 16. AMOUR ORAGEUX - Won two times last year. Fourth to (6) Avoriaz at Caen on April ASTRE D'EGLEFIN - Achieved third win at Argentan this year on April 30 when easily accounting for 15 opponents 18. ALL TOGETHER - Recorded eighth career success at Le Mans on May 4 when market leader

(17) ASTRE D'EGLEFIN has been making hay at Argentan this year recording his third victory there at the end of April. A reproduction of that form would see him claim this prize. Caen-winner (6) AVORIAZ is a consistent sort who is likely to be on the premises again. (11) APERTO WILD is also a danger if keeping stride as is (18) ALL TOGETHER. (17) ASTRE D'EGLEFIN - (6) AVORIAZ - (11) APERTO WILD - (18) ALL TOGETHER - (4) AVATAR DU VALO

Race 8 1. BE YOU SOON - Last win came at Amiens in July. Fourth of 18 behind runner-up (4) Baila Sport at Caen latest 2. BELLA JISCE - Only victory came in a ridden race in Prone to disqualification 3. BELLAMIKA - Won at Le Neubourg in May Fifth of 15 at Le Grand- Fougeray last time out 4. Runner-up of 14 at Cholet last time 9. BELLADONA BLEUE - On the podium for second time this year when third of 16 at Cholet on May BARAKA D'EOLE - Came good at Savigny-sur-Braye in May last year. Not seen again until taking third place at Le Croise-Laroche on April BELLE DE MANCHE - Placed four times since only win in November However recent outings do not inspire confidence 12. BRASILIA SOYER - Won twice in 2014 but disqualified last seven times. First run for new trainer 13. BELTIS D'OCCAGNES - Won twice in the early part of Sixth of 14 at Amiens latest. First time with only rear shoes removed 14. BALIVERNE D'ORTIGE - All three career wins have come at Le Croise- Laroche most recently last time out when beating 15 rivals at 4.1/1 15. BRETONNE DE BETTON - Won at Caen in April Fully unshod first time for fourth run back from seven-month break 16. BICHE DES LANDIERS - Achieved three successes last year. Best 2016 placing when runner-up of 14 at Lisieux on April 3

(4) BAILA SPORT would have got up in a few more strides at Caen last time and is taken to make amends if able to unleash her finishing burst earlier. The main danger could come from recent Le Croise-Laroche winner (14) BALIVERNE D'ORTIGE who is partnered by Franck Nivard. (7) BRISE DU BAC and (1) BE YOU SOON are others with claims. (4) BAILA SPORT - (14) BALIVERNE D'ORTIGE - (7) BRISE DU BAC - (1) BE YOU SOON - (9) BELLADONA BLEUE

Race 9 1. VOLAGE D'ISCLA - All six career wins came in 2013 and no worthwhile form since December TOPO DU MOULINET - Won at Ecommoy in May Sixth of 16 at Tours last time out 3. ADRIENNE DU CITRUS - Successful at Vincennes in January. Unplaced at the same venue latest 4. PIKE RIVER - Recorded 14th career win at Cagnes-sur-Mer in January. To the rear at Vincennes last time out 5. VANETTA D'AZUR - Won a 16-runner class E at Nimes at 7/1 on March UN DU BUISSON - Victorious at Bernay in September. APOLLON DE KACY - Won for fifth time in a row when wide-margin victor at Lyon-Parilly latest 9. ALSONN DE GUEZ - Two wins in Yet to hit form this year 10. TWIST DES BAUX - Last of 11 victories came in August Best recent run when fourth of 16 at Vincennes on January VICKY DU BOCAGE - Beat 15 rivals to win at Vincennes in January. Hasn't hit form so far in 2016 (8) APOLLON DE KACY landed a nap hand at Lyon-Parilly last time out and now seeks to make it six in a row. Rouen-Mauquenchy winner (13) ROSEMARY GAR who has the shoes off again today heads the opposition while the Franck Nivard-

driven (12) ONLY ONE GLORY must also be taken seriously as he bids for win number 25. (8) APOLLON DE KACY - (13) ROSEMARY GAR - (12) ONLY ONE GLORY - (9) ALSONN DE GUEZ - (16) VERTIGE DE CHENU

VICHY - 12th May Trainer of the day : Guy Cherel (104, 208, 308, 403, 604) Jockey of the day : Ronan Thomas (504, 605, 704) Horse of the day : Dame de Compagnie (502) Dark Horse : Illico Presto (102) Race 1 1. NEXT TO ME - Showed promise on debut last month when fourth at Bordeaux Le Bouscat 2. ILLICO PRESTO - Dam was triple smart winner on the level and has bred some very talented winners indeed so is interesting 3. DUCHY - Very little to show in three runs so passed over today again 4. LOU TANGO - Showed a bit of promise when fifth at Compiegne on debut last month 5. CATIGNY - Has not shown much ability in four runs and easily dismissed 6. PASIFAE - Improved on debut when well beaten third at Nancy last month 7. PAINTING ANGEL - Placed in three of her eight runs and making hurdles debut today 8. PARABAD - Dam was a maiden but has bred three winners from five foals 9. DYNAMITE D'AINAY - Well beaten on debut at Marseille Borely last month and passed over 10. DEMOISELLE SMART - Soundly beaten on debut at Fontainebleau last month and must do better 11. TERRE DES ARTS - Beaten thirty six lengths at Auteuil on debut last month so needs to up it This is an interesting opener and perhaps punters can get off to a winning start if (1) NEXT TO ME can build on the promise of a very nice debut run when not beaten that far at Bordeaux Le Bouscat last month. The runner up has already given that form a thumping boost so all the signs are good for today. (6) PASIFAE and (4) LOU TANGO have place prospects and watch out for (2) ILLICO PRESTO in the future.

(1) NEXT TO ME - (6) PASIFAE - (4) LOU TANGO - (2) ILLICO PRESTO

Race 2 1. CASABLANCA MIX - 2. CRACK TIEPY - Placed in three of five runs and fair runner up last time at Lyon Parilly 3. CYBEL DE LA BRUNIE - Broke the ice on ninth start last time on hurdles debut at Angouleme so can improve further 4. CAMIFLORA - Placed in five of her six runs including nice hurdles debut last time so has a chance 5. CAVALERIE - Placed in three of her four runs but disappointed on seasonal reappearance though 6. CALINE DE L'OASIS - Yet to place in four runs so has too much to prove now 7. CHIPSFLY - Placed in four of her seven attempts but didn't do too much on hurdles debut 8. CASHKILLE - Improved on debut when not beaten that far on first hurdle start at Compiegne last month 9. CELINE COLLONGES - Just the two runs and fell last time in a chase so hard to know what to expect 10. CHARMEUSE D'AINAY - Fourth in a bunch finish at Compiegne last month on racecourse and hurdles debut so more to come 11. CHATLAINE DU PATIS - Newcomer. Dam won once and this is her first foal to race in France 12. CRAK'ELA - Placed in a third of her fifteen flat runs and best watched on hurdles debut The way looks clear for (2) CRACK TIEPY to get off the mark after displaying an aptitude for this discipline when runner up on jumping debut at Lyon Parilly last month. That bettered her flat form and she is sure to improve further now. (4) CAMIFLORA is a winner waiting to happen. (10) CHARMEUSE D'AINAY and (8) CASHKILLE have further improvement in them also. (2) CRACK TIEPY - (4) CAMIFLORA - (10) CHARMEUSE D'AINAY - (8) CASHKILLE

Race 3 1. SAINT PATH - Was going for a hat trick when not completing in a Listed at Auteuil last November so could go well on return 2. FLY TO TRAOU LAND - Placed in half of his eight starts including third last twice 3. OIHAN CHOP - Hit the frame in four of eight lifetime but would appear to have it all to do 4. PARCHIMBAULT - Smart winner and Listed placed who showed ability still there on last start after missing all of DRAGON KING - Placed in two of thirteen runs and very easily dismissed 6. BLANCHE DES CLOS - Placed in six of her fifteen attempts but must find something from somewhere to get involved 7. BELLE AFFAIRE - Triple winner from fifteen starts and very consistent also so has place claims for sure 8. MOMITA HAS - Listed winner and placed plus is very consistent. Behind Parchimbault last time and has that one to beat Three runners dominate this event and the pick of them today is (8) MOMITA HAS who will look to overturn form with (4) PARCHIMBAULT from their clash at Compiegne last month. She is slightly better off at the weights today. The latter is still a very dangerous opponent though. (1) SAINT PATH looks a clear third best while (7) BELLE AFFAIRE can book fourth. (8) MOMITA HAS - (4) PARCHIMBAULT - (1) SAINT PATH - (7) BELLE AFFAIRE

Race 4 1. SUMMERBOY - Well beaten on debut at Fontainebleau last month so has a lot to find 2. REDGY - Beaten a fair distance on debut at Fontainebleau and must find plenty of improvement from somewhere 3. HAPPENING - Made a reasonable debut at Maisons Laffitte last July but has been off since 4. GONDETI - A well beaten fourth on debut at Fontainebleau last month and ahead of some of these but still must improve 5. CALIFE DES PICTONS - Dam was unraced and both her first two foals have been placed 6. MATUMAINI MONDIAL - He has shown very little on both career starts to date and is overlooked 7. SUBTLETY - Yet to place in eight starts and looks very average to be fair 8. WAK'A - Just the one place in eight runs and hard to be positive about chance today 9. CLENI ZELANDE - Newcomer. Dam won once and this is her first foal and could be competitive here 10. ANGE DE LA MER - Yet to place in four starts and looks very moderate here 11. YEUX DE BICHE - Well beaten on debut in March at Paray-Le-Monial and hard to fancy A race that seems to lack in any quality at all so it might be best left to the debutante (9) CLENI ZELANDE who is owned by Mme Magalen Bryant. The dam was a fairly useful winner and this her first offspring might be sharp enough on debut to score. (3) HAPPENING could do better than on debut last year while (2) REDGY and (4) GONDETI have place claims. (9) CLENI ZELANDE - (3) HAPPENING - (2) REDGY - (4) GONDETI

Race 5 1. DUNOYER DE LAGARDE - Newcomer. Mother was a triple winner and has bred one winner from three foals 2. DAME DE COMPAGNIE - Won very well on debut early last month at La Roche S/Yon and put up a very decent speed figure in the process 3. DRIVE AGAIN - Won on debut in March but a little disappointing in two runs since then 4. DANSE VENDEENNE - Newcomer. Dam was a poor maiden but five of her seven foals have won 5. DAMZELLE GIGI - Fifth on debut at Lyon Parilly last month and will need to step up on that 6. D'ENTREE DE JEU - Behind Damzelle Gigi last month on debut so needs to improve a lot now A very confident selection here in the shape of (2) DAME DE COMPAGNIE. This fine imposing filly routed the opposition on her debut at La Roche S/Yon last month and that form has already been boosted. She clocked a serious time that day also. It will be a major surprise if she is beaten. (4) DANSE VENDEENNE is related to a host of winners so commands respect on debut. (1) DUNOYER DE LAGARDE and (3) DRIVE AGAIN can fill the places. (2) DAME DE COMPAGNIE - (4) DANSE VENDEENNE - (1) DUNOYER DE LAGARDE - (3) DRIVE AGAIN

Race 6 1. DONA PALMA - Made a satisfactory debut at Lyon Parilly last month and could do better 2. DESIR DU BOULAY - Newcomer. Dam won four times and two of her first foals have won so plenty of encouragement there 3. DARLING MALTAIX - Newcomer. Dam was a maiden and her first foal to run has yet to win so hard to predict what will happen 4. DICA DE THAIX - Newcomer. Dam was a dual winner and her first foal is a placed maiden so there is hope 5. DETENTE - Newcomer. Dam won twice and this is her first foal to race so not too much to go on Very little to go on here but there is reason to believe that (4) DICA DE THAIX might be the answer. He is a half brother to the useful maiden Caprisca de Thaix and as this fellow is more stoutly bred there is even more hope. He can do it. (2) DESIR DU BOULAY is from a winning family and could easily be good enough. (1) DONA PALMA and (5) DETENTE can follow them home. (4) DICA DE THAIX - (2) DESIR DU BOULAY - (1) DONA PALMA - (5) DETENTE

Race 7 1. CREDO DES OBEAUX - Very consistent in eight starts with winning one and placing in six so every chance 2. BAYADERE - Dual winner from eight and hit the frame in five more so a likely one today 3. BANGKOK INN - Dual winner from eleven and placed five times. Might need this first run back after absence since November 4. BEAUTE DE LA CERE - Won once and placed five times from seven runs and every chance here 5. BARESCA SORRENTO - Showed promise when fifth of eleven on debut a year ago at Lion-D'angers Another small field to finish off the day. A very hopeful vote goes to (4) BEAUTE DE LA CERE who could offer really decent value in this tight knit affair. She ran better than her final position suggests against some useful sorts last time out. (2) BAYADERE and (1) CREDO DES OBEAUX are bound to put up a strong challenge and there is better to come from (5) BARESCA SORRENTO in the future. (4) BEAUTE DE LA CERE - (2) BAYADERE - (1) CREDO DES OBEAUX - (5) BARESCA SORRENTO

LYON-PARILLY - 12th May Trainer of the day : Franck Forési (111, 704, 801) Jockey of the day : Pierre-Charles Boudot (104, 401, 606, 701, 802) Horse of the day : Now We Can (404) Dark Horse : Memory Lane (606) Race 1 1. ORIENT EXTREME - Not the most reliable and task is not made any easier under top-weight 2. SUPER NOTHING - Recent runs don't inspire much confidence but would have a chance on earlier form. Supplemented 3. SNOW AND ICE - No form to recommend. Would be a surprise winner 4. CAUFIELD - Consistent sort, in good form and should be competitive. The one to beat 5. KIEFFER DES AIGLES - Hasn't shown in 3 runs this year and unlikely to trouble the judge 6. BONDI - Rarely runs a bad race and is seldom beaten far. Place chance 7. FIRST COMPANY - Recent form is uninspiring. Needs to show more 8. ZAHAB - 9. DIPANKARA - Consistent sort, enjoys the course and distance. Can contest the outcome 10. MUSIC IN THE RAIN - No show in only start this year. Could only improve from that run 11. MOLESNE CHOP - Wasn't disgraced last time over track and trip. Money chance on 3rd run after rest 12. SPLIT STEP - Has lost his way in 3 recent runs. Needs to show form return 13. HAPPY VALLEY - Needs to show more but could sneak into the money if improving A moderate contest to start the day. Associated to Pierre-Charles Boudot (4) CAUFIELD looks the most reliable of these and would be hard to beat if holding form. The chief threat could come from (9) DIPANKARA who is consistent and in

good form. (11) MOLESNE CHOP is well tried and could make the frame. (6) BONDI is another to consider for place. (4) CAUFIELD - (9) DIPANKARA - (11) MOLESNE CHOP - (6) BONDI

Race 2 1. UMA MIA - Poor recent runs though could make the frame if reproducing best form 2. PISTACHETTE - Veteran bidding for 13th win. Has run 2 solid races at the track recently. One to beat 3. LITTO - Not the most reliable and recent form doesn't much inspire much confidence. Has been supplemented 4. SECHE - Seems to have lost his zest for racing. Cannot be recommended on form 5. YOSRA - Form return last start. Would have a chance if reproducing that effort 6. ZAFIRAH - Has been moderate thus far. Needs to make vast improvement 7. BE ON THE BELL - Recently form is on the all-weather. Would have a chance if reproducing that on the turf 8. ZOR - Consistent this year and be must considered. Definite eachway claims 9. SOMBRE HEROS - No form to recommend but she could surprise making her course debut 10. LIBERTE MON AMOUR - Encouraging last start at this venue. Definite contender if making improvement 11. PIERRE PRECIEUSE - Runner-up here last time and would be competitive on the basis of that run 12. TANGOKA - Honest sort but has been moderate recently and is best overlooked 13. MILOW - Hasn't shown in 5 starts this year so can be ignored Veteran (2) PISTACHETTE is in good form and has returned from a rest in rude health. She is on a good run and could prove hard to beat. (10) LIBERTE MON AMOUR and (11) PIERRE PRECIEUSE both ran well in recent starts here and would be competitive if reproducing those efforts. (1) UMA MIA could benefit from rsoft ground so watch for rain. (2) PISTACHETTE - (11) PIERRE PRECIEUSE - (10) LIBERTE MON AMOUR - (1) UMA MIA

Race 3 1. GREEN TARTARE - Made good progress last time and could feature with further improvement 2. YEATSON - Would have needed the last start. Could make the frame 3. EIGHT ANGELS - Last start was his best. Would have come on since so has a place chance 4. ANGHARO - Needed the comeback run after a break. Could make the frame if improving. Has been supplemented for this 5. TEN YEARS AFTER - Needs to improve to feature here but is lightly raced so does have scope 6. TRACK STAR - Returned to form at this track last time. Needs to confirm to have any chance 7. LAGON MERSOIS - Progressive sort with consistent form. Should be very competitive if holding form 8. RENZO - Fair comeback after long rest. Has scope to improve and could fill minor money 9. JOUR JO - Yet to show in 4 starts this year. Unlikely winner 10. NANNY CAY - Has run well in better races recently and can take advantage here. Looks to have every chance 11. ABRAXAS STONE - Moderate recent form. Place chance at best in this lineup (10) NANNY CAY has maintained a good level of consistency in more valuable races recently so rates the one to beat. Progressive (7) LAGON MERSOIS is the obvious danger on form and should be very competitive. (6) TRACK STAR's last run is encouraging and he could finish in the money too. (2) YEATSON should come on from his come back run. (10) NANNY CAY - (7) LAGON MERSOIS - (6) TRACK STAR - (2) YEATSON

Race 4 1. AMIRANT - Had a good 2015 and looks primed for a good run. Place chance 2. SATANICJIM - Has proven to be consistent at this level and could be a factor at the finish 3. ORATORY DAVIS - Will be severely tested at this level. Could sneak into the frame at best 4. NOW WE CAN - Seven times winner of 12 starts and a former Grade II scorer. Definitely the one to beat 5. LAUNCHED - Progressive sort and has gone close at this level and over the trip. Chief threat 6. KLOUD GATE - Has held his own at this level so must be considered for minor money 7. PRINCE NOMAD - Outclassed in a Grade III last time but has been competitive at this level in the past Main event on the programme and a good race in prospect. (4) NOW WE CAN and (5) LAUNCHED have proven themselves at this level and should fight out the finish to this. (6) KLOUD GATE has held his form in similar contests so could make his presence felt. (2) SATANICJIM, (1) AMIRANT and (7) PRINCE NOMAD have place chances. (4) NOW WE CAN - (5) LAUNCHED - (2) SATANICJIM - (1) AMIRANT

Race 5 1. SOHO UNIVERSE - Has shown ability in both starts. Looks likely to capitalise on his experience in this line-up 2. LA FIBRE - Ran with promise on debut and would have come on since. Can contest 3. BOMBA - Not disgraced on debut and should be wiser to the task this time around 4. PAPA WINNER - 2 year colt by Salut Thomas out of Palea (Red Ransom). Watch the betting 5. STELLA D'ARGENTO - Two years old filly by Kendargent out of Slipstick (Slickly). Watch the betting 6. REINE DE KHALVI - Two years old filly by Khalkevi out of Reine De Java (Kingsalsa). Betting should guide (1) SOHO UNIVERSE makes most appeal of these based on two solid efforts. He'll take a power of beating with further improvement expected. (2) LA FIBRE and (3) BOMBA would have come on from encouraging debuts and ought to be competitive. Watch the betting on the newcomers and in particular on (5) STELLA D'ARGENTO who should be fit on debut. (1) SOHO UNIVERSE - (3) BOMBA - (2) LA FIBRE - (5) STELLA D'ARGENTO
