1 Longchamp 6th October 2012 Race 1 Prix Horse Racing Abroad 1600m 2-y-o Claiming Grade E Halloween Chope Won on debut and has continued to improve with every run. Placed in high level condition races past two up to 1400m but not seen since mid-june. Keep safe. 2. Bertimont Three starts, is a maiden with two placing s and beaten 1.5L last start Clairefontaine 13/ m. Easier here. 3. Vilna Two provincial wins from five race starts and last start Fontainebleau 3 rd 24/09 in high level conditions race 1600m. This is good form. Easier here. Chance. 4. Si Sage Rewarded with a win for very consistent racing in a maiden at Clairefontaine 25/08 over 1600m. Now he has broken through can continue to progress. Each way. 5. Cinnamon Crescent Spanish horse with a win at San Sebastian on debut over 1400m then failed in feature race. This is easier and Spanish horses have a good record in these types of races. One at value. 6. La Camélia Two starts, both at south-west tracks for debut 4 th followed by 2 nd. Is improving with each start but this is a strong race. 7. Eleuthera Unlikely on two runs to date. 8. Shaslika One starts for one win in Maisons-Laffitte claiming race when surprised all starting at big odds and winning by ¾ L over 1600m. She would have come on from that run, this is one level higher but still must be included in the mix.

2 9. Apparition Two starts for two placing s in a Deauville maiden and Le Lion-d Angers conditions race 12/09. Has performed well enough to be an outside chance. Not the roughest. 10. Mahajanga Three starts with two minor placing s past two at south-west tracks in maiden races. Stable is going well and whilst this is much harder she could run a place. 11. Gallozebest Four starts across a variety of grades and mid-field finishes on all occasions. 12. Sushi Tuna Three starts for two 3 rd placing s and a win in a higher level claiming race 06/09 track and distance. Narrow win and up 2kg but is going too well not to still rate a chance. 13. Bahaa Has run a couple of promising races early in her career and outclassed past two. May struggle in this contest. Summary A very competitive race to open the programme. Some good performances in higher level races from a number of runners and now dropping in grade plus those racing successfully at this level make it a very interesting race. Plenty of chances including (12) SUSHI TUNA who is going too well and a last start winner, the high rated (1) HALLOWEEN CHOPE along with (2) BERTIMONT who will find this easier as will (3) VILNA. (5) CINNAMON CRESCENT is one at value. (8) SHASLIKA must be included in the mix, (4) SI SAGE is an each way show and (9) APPARITION is not the roughest. Very open race and value should be found. 3 Race 2 Qatar Prix Chaudenay 3000m 3-y-o G Canticum Khalid Abdullah and David Smaga combine for this improving colt who has only won the one race but place in Listed and G3 level over this distance past two. Last start G3 Longchamp 09/09 beaten neck. Include. 2. Shantaram John Gosden trains this horse in the UK but has engaged Christope Soumillon to ride. Looks to be a horse of the future having won his past two starts with a G3 2600m win last start in July at Newmarket (UK) and has good form surrounding him. Don t dismiss. 3. Tenenbaum Godolphin and Andre Fabre combine with this horse who has won up to 2800m. Has a Listed win at Deauville in August and then failed in g2 grand Prix de Deauville against older horses when favourite. Can bounce back in this race. 4. Mysterious Man Progressive but this is a big class rise. Only three starts winning 3000m conditions race at Fontainebleau 31/08 and has Mikel Delzangles preparing. May be the surprise improver. 5. Only A Pleasure Andre Fabre trains for this Australian owned horse who won three in a row up to Listed level at Deauville 15/08 and then a G3 3 rd Longchamp 09/09 beaten 1L. Rising in grade again. Place. 6. Mysterious Man UK trained horse supplemented but on current form would appear to struggle in this race. Is a last start 4 th in a class 2 race beaten 5.75L. 7. Valdo Béré Showed promise during the spring with a G2 placing in April but has failed to go on. 7 th Longchamp 09/09 G3 3000m and is down 1kg beaten 5.25L. 8. Les Beaufs Has a 2700m conditions win at Deauville but best run black type races is a provincial Listed 3 rd in July over 2400m. Looks outclassed. 9. Top Trip G2 Longhamp 2200m winner in May and excellent 4 th in G1 Prix du Jockey Club in June. Two even runs since with last time out being 4 th beaten 1.25L in G2 Grand Prix de Deauville against open class horses. This was a top run. Good chance. 10. Véréma Aga Khan and Alain de Royer Dupre combine with this promising filly who beat a number of rivals in a G3 2000m race this track 09/09. Meets them on the same weight terms. Can win again.

4 11. Pale Mimosa Irish trained runner having won her past two including York (UK) Listed race over 2400m (own sex). Interesting to run her here, must have a high opinion. Watch market. Summary Good quality race with plenty of depth and chances. Progressive 3-year-olds engaged and some have already performed in open company whilst others are on the upgrade. (9) TOP TRIP is a good chance and (10) VÉRÉMA can win again. (1) CANTICUM is an improving colt so include while (2) SHANTARAM has good form surrounding him so don t dismiss. (3) TENENBAUM can bounce back in this race and (6) MYSTERIOUS MAN may be the surprise improver while watch the market with (11) PALE MIMOSA. (9) TOP TRIP (2) SHANTARAM (6) MYSTERIOUS MAN (10) VÉRÉMA

5 Race 3 Qatar Prix Daniel Wildenstein 1600m 3-y-o+ G Zinabaa G2 1600m winner three starts ago in May. Not seen since mid- June when 6 th in G3. Has weight penalty. 2. Highland Knight Last start well supported G2 winner at Baden-Baden (GER) 30/08 and has been most consistent in the UK where he is trained. Going from strength to strength and should be included. 3. Lucayan 3-y-o Classic 1600m G1 winner in May. Disappointed in two runs since. 4. Dux Scholar Very hard to line this horse up. Failed in Dubai then won in eastern Europe followed by two 2 nd placing s with last start in a G2 1600m at Baden-Baden (GER) beaten 3.5L by Highland Knight. Hard to see him reversing the placing s. 5. Mainsail Has been an improver all season with a Listed win followed by by G3 2 nd track and distance 30/06. Not seen since. Place. 6. Tifongo Deauville Listed win 07/ m was followed by G3 8 th in August. This is no easier. 7. Evaporation Listed winner last November and three runs this season for three placing s in G2 & G3 company. Has the ability. Each way. 8. Sarkiyla Aga Khan and Alain de Royer Dupre combine with this very smart filly who has won four of her past six starts up to G3 at Deauville in August and then G1 3 rd Longchamp 16/09 (but just the four runners). Can win. Summary (8) SARKIYLA sees the Aga Khan and Alain de Royer Dupre combine with this very smart filly who can win. (2) HIGHLAND KNIGHT is going from strength to strength in the UK and should be included. Each way for (7) EVAPORATION and (5) MAINSAIL is a place show and (3) LUCAYAN is a classic race winner in May. 6 Race 4 Qatar Prix Dollar 1950m 3-y-o+ G Chinchon Just three runs this season and high class performer. Won first up in March and is a last start winner of feature g1 in Singapore in May. Weight penalty but has the class to win. 2. Cirrus des Aigles High class French public favourite horse not seen since May. Multiple G1 winner. Narrowly beaten in this race last year (but had been racing throughout summer). Is first up. Can score. 3. Hunter's Light Godolphin owned horse who has won his past two, a UK G3 followed by feature G2 in Turkey. Is progressive. Good record in small fields. Don t dismiss. 4. Red Dubawi Handy horse running into the placing s up to Listed level and a G3 4 th last run. Will be outclassed here. 5. Don Bosco May be one at odds. Has a G3 win two starts ago over 2000m before last start close up 6 th in the 2500m G2 Grand Prix de Deauville. Lacks the class but not the consistency. Place. 6. Colombian High class performer to G3 level. Hasn t been seen for more than 12 months when 3 rd in USA G1. This is his distance, John Gosden from the UK trains. If market support could pay to follow but will most likely need the run. 7. Green Destiny Hard to line this former UK horse up against his rivals. Has ability. Last win was in Eastern Europe two starts ago and then failed at Baden-Baden (GER). Best watched. 8. Saga Dream Placed past three, two at G3 level and all over 2000m. May find this a little too tough. 9. Maxios Owners have had multiple winners this past week. Always shown talent and is a last start G3 winner over 2000m at Maisons-Laffitte 21/09. Just keeps getting betting as he goes through classes. Could surprise in this race.

7 Summary The top two have proven G1 form but both have a weight penalty. (1) CHINCHON receives a weight penalty but has the class to win. (2) CIRRUS DES AIGLES was narrowly beaten in this race last year (but had been racing throughout summer), is first up and can score. (3) HUNTER'S LIGHT is a Godolphin owned horse who has won his past two so don t dismiss. The owners of (9) MAXIOS have had multiple winners this past week and this horse keeps getting better and could surprise in this race. Watch the market on (6) COLOMBIAN. 8 Race 5 Qatar Prix de Royallieu 2500m 3-y-o+ F&M G Preferential Khalid Abdullah owned and Criquette Head trained, this filly has won two of her past three starts with a 2400m Listed victory last time. Harder here but improves with every start. Don t dismiss. 2. Dalkala Aga Khan and Alain de Royer Dupre combine with this filly who has won to G3 and past two have been in the G1Prix Dianne where she was 5 th followed by Deauville G2 this distance and class beaten 2.5L when favourite. Good chance 3. Forces of Darkness Fourth in G1 Prix de Dianne followed by G3 2500m win Deauville 12/08. Up in grade again but no reason why she cannot win. 4. Myrtlewood Three starts only and this looks beyond her current abilities. 5. Grace of Dubaï Won on debut and has been placed up to Listed level last start at St Cloud over 2400m. Will find this a much tougher ask. 6. Shirocco Star Just the one win but was 2 nd in both the UK & Irish Oaks. Last start 4 th in G1 Yorkshire Oaks. High class filly who deserves a change of luck and rates a strong chance here. 7. Coquet UK trained filly with multiple successive wins before a UK Oaks 6 th in June. Two moderate runs since. May find this beyond her. 8. La Conquérante Progressive filly but may be a little bit out of her depth here. G3 placing last start Deauville in August over 2500m. Stable is in form.

9 Summary Good quality fillies engaged in this years renewal with depth to a number of runners. (2) DALKALA sees the Aga Khan and Alain de Royer Dupre combine with this filly who is a good chance. (3) FORCES OF DARKNESS is up in grade again but has run good races in the past and there is no reason why she cannot win. (6) SHIROCCO STAR is a high class filly who deserves a change of luck and rates a strong chance. (1) PREFERENTIAL improves with every start so don t dismiss. 10 Race 6 Prix Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club 1600m 3-y-o Handicap Première Division Grade D Paraggi Easier but not racing all that well at present. 2. Very Nice Name Three runs this season and all starts well-spaced, however is coming off a last start 2 nd Maisons-Laffitte 27/09 over 2000m in moderate conditions race. Has some ability. Each way. 3. Pollyana Has won four of her past five including this track, level and distance last start 06/09. Up effectively 4kg on that win. 4. Magiq Rio Ran some solid placing s in condition races and then won claiming race before failing at this level last start in Longchamp form line race from 06/ Arluno Last win four starts ago at Lyon in May over 1600m in high standard conditions race. Mid-field next three. Entering hcp company. Best watched. 6. Xotic A model of consistency. Chantilly winner at this level three starts ago followed by Deauville 2 nd. Failed in form line race from 06/09 but can bounce back. 7. Rocky Roulette Is close to winning at this level. Beaten 2L in form line race from 6/09 and has the same adjusted weight. Include. 8. Al Azraq Beaten 1.5L in form line race from 06/09 at Longhamp and has either won or been placed past four starts. Up to winning this. 9. Elasyaaf 2100m AW maiden winner at Chantilly two starts ago 12/07 was followed by Deauville 1900m AW 3 rd 18/08. Has been consistent in career to date. May be running on for a place. 10. Parisham Will appreciate dropping back to this grade of race after being pace-maker in group races for other Aga Khan horses. Hard to line up as she has previously shown just limited ability. 11. Alanos Has two 4 th placing s this track, distance and class from earlier in the season before failing on the AW last start. Place chance. 12. Chez Laurent Has been struggling and form can be quite patchy. Has previously run forward races in events at this grade of race across a variety of distances. Last start Chantilly 1200m 4 th. Could sneak a place.

11 13. Calcutta Maisons-Laffitte 1600m maiden winner three starts ago has been followed up with two 3 rd placing s in claiming contests. Harder again here. 14. Tropical Pearl Past two at provincial tracks have resulted in a win and 3 rd. This is tougher but with a light-weight may run a place. 15. Loussia Has been very consistent and broke through for a win last start at St Cloud 1600m 10/09. Now has broken through, and with little weight, has each way claims. 16. Mr Majeika Racing quite poorly. Summary Form line race comes from Longchamp over 1600m 07/09. (8) AL AZRAQ has either won or been placed the past four starts and is up to winning this. (7) ROCKY ROULETTE is close to winning at this level so include. (3) POLLYANA has won four of her past five including this track, level and distance last start but does face a big weight rise and (6) XOTIC failed in the form line race but can bounce back. (15) LOUSSIA and (2) VERY NICE NAME are an each way show. (8) AL AZRAQ (7) ROCKY ROULETTE (3) POLLYANA (6) XOTIC (15) LOUSSIA

12 Race 7 Qatar Total Arabian Trophy des Juments 2000m 4-y-o F G1 Pure Arab Bred El Zouarda Ran some forward races in Doha (Qatar) but best in two French starts has been a Dax 2 nd. Harder here. 2. Al Moutawakila Just the four runs with a win and last start 3 rd La Teste G3 08/09 beaten 1.75L. 3. Al Saklawiya Has run into the placing s in lower level country races but could only manage 7 th last start in G3 trial race La Teste 08/09 and well beaten. 4. Samah Well travelled, three starts little to show for efforts to date. 5. Theeba UK trained horse with two wins from past four starts including two runs back at Nottingham (UK) over 1600m before last performance 3 rd Newbury (UK) but over the longer 2600m. 6. Fazah Has always shown above average ability with three wins from five starts and 2 nd in feature G1 for fillies last season. Not seen since April but has the talent to win first up. 7. Visionary Lady Is never too far away and could be running on for a place. Toulouse winner in June and beaten 3.5L in trial race at La Teste 08/09. Does have a G2 3 rd from two starts ago in July over 1900m. 8. Sahlambo Last start La Teste G3 winner over 1900m 08/09 beating a number of rivals. Can further progress here. 9. Bzeubzeu Al Maury Has run forward races in the past and close up 4 th in La Teste trial race. Consider for the place. 10. Mandragore Al Maury La Teste winner two stars ago in August but could only manage 6 th in trial race 06/ Sifflet Al Maury G3 2 nd last start at La Teste 08/09 beaten short neck by Sahlambo. Could reverse placing s here.

13 Summary Most of these fillies met in the G3 trial race at La Teste 08/09. (6) FAZAH has not been seen since April but has the talent to win first up. (8) SAHLAMBO can further progress while (11) SIFFLET AL MAURY last start at La Teste was beaten a short neck by (8) SAHLAMBO and could reverse the placing s in this race. Others to consider are (2) AL MOUTAWAKILA and (7) VISIONARY LADY. (6) FAZAH (8) SAHLAMBO (11) SIFFLET AL MAURY (2) AL MOUTAWAKILA

14 Race 8 Prix Barzan 1600m 3-y-o Handicap Second Division Grade D Little Power Taken to country track to win maiden after consistent performances. This is harder again. 2. Rue de Rivoli Has won past two in succession including this track, distance and class last start 06/09 and despite weight rise can make it three in a row. 3. Turcoman's Chantilly AW maiden winner in April over 1400m three starts back and two even runs since with a Chantilly 3 rd 05/ m good enough for each way consideration here. 4. Estarquefigue Was finishing just behind the place getters in top level hcp races and then dropped back to this level last start and finished 4 th but over the shorter 1200m at Chantilly 11/09. Back up to 1600m which will suit so each-way. 5. Fol Ami Placed past three starts with past two in top level hcp races but over 2000m. Back in distance but with big straight this should not be a major concern so rate in the each way chances. 6. Chope Dance Has failed to go on from maiden win in July on the AW at Deauville over 1300m. 7. All Shook Up Has finished 7 th in top level hcp races over 2000m past two starts and although back in distance, the class drop more than compensates. Should be running on. Place. 8. Activiste Failed past three in top hcp events and although back in grade, needs to do more first. 9. Sansiwa Has failed to go on in two runs following Chantilly win this distance in July. 10. Cheam Ksah Progressed from Deauville AW 1500m win in August to a Longchamp 4 th this level 06/09 beaten just a head (very close finish). Ready to win again. 11. Golden Club Mid-field finishes in lower level races was followed by a conditions 3 rd Fontainebleau 1800m last start. Harder again.

15 12. Gaelic Space Has a St Cloud win and Longcchamp 2 nd this level from earlier in the season. Failed past two but could bounce back here. Keep safe. 13. Thorzien Not racing well enough for this race. 14. Frascata Rates a chance on a last third track, distance and class 06/09. Each way. 15. Satanicjim Deauville win followed by St Cloud 2 nd 17/09 beaten a head in a race one level below this rates this horse at least an each way chance. 16. Pen Lan Racing poorly. Summary This race has many chances. (2) RUE DE RIVOLI has won his past two in succession including this track, distance and class last start and despite a weight rise can make it three in a row. (10) CHEAM KSAH is ready to win again and (14) FRASCATI is a good each way show following an improved third last start. (12) GAELIC SPACE failed at his past two runs but could bounce back so keep safe. Those with an each way chance include (15) SATANICJIM, (3) TURCOMAN'S, (4) ESTARQUEFIGUE and (5) FOL AMI.
