JUNIUS BRUTUS - Won really well on debut at La Teste-de-Buch last month and every chance as favourite 2. KODIAC TIME - Finished close second on debut here last month and should come on more from that 3. ASHWAGANDHA - Third on claiming debut at Longchamp last month and will need to jump up off that 4. LA FEVE - Both runs at La Teste-de-Buch but hammered by Junius Brutus last time 5. YOUNG CITY - Unplaced in all three starts and looks to have too much much on here for sure Summary We start racing today with a small field of two year old's and there will be a popular warm favourite going to post in the shape of (1) JUNIUS BRUTUS who blitzed his rivals on debut at La Teste-de-Buch last month and it will come as a shock of he is beaten. (2) KODIAC TIME was just touched off here last month on her first try and should fill the same spot again. (4) LA FEVE and (3) ASHWAGANDHA can follow home. 2 Race 2 1. TRES SOLID - Nine wins from sixty two runs and will appreciate this drop in grade here 2. MONTESQUIEU - Fifteen time scorer from ninety five and two in the bag already this season 3. PLUTOCRACY - Four victories from thirty four starts and looks the most likely winner here 4. SCANDALEUX - Four wins from twenty eight runs and gained two of those already this season 5. DEELEY'S DOUBLE - Sole success was gained in the UK and could go well at a huge price perhaps 6. AJMANY - A nine time winner from forty six and has the form to be competitive in this heat Summary A small field also for this claimer but the one that stands out is (3) PLUTOCRACY, the mount of the brilliant Pierre-Charles Boudot. The selection has the joint top rating of these but is much more reliable and consistent and looks the winner to be fair. (6) AJMANY should make a strong second for the forecast ahead of (1) TRES SOLID and (2) MONTESQUIEU. Selections (3) PLUTOCRACY - (6) AJMANY - (1) TRES SOLID - (2) MONTESQUIEU

3 Race 3 1. SHINING STAR - Placed in three of four starts and sets the standard here and will be favourite 2. MALAKITE - Placed in two of her four runs and is the type to progress into the future 3. MY LOVELY ONE - One place in four outings but the feeling is there is more in the locker 4. PARIS PARIS - Placed in four of her six starts and can have a say for the money today 5. SO YOU SWEET - Finished runner up in the middle of her three starts so there is hope for today 6. SI SIBYLLINE - Placed once in her three runs and could be capable of this sort of mark 7. MIA LILY BLUE - Unplaced in all four runs but there were hints of ability there also. Each way hopes 8. OCCHIOBELLO - Runner up three times in sixteen outings but overall profile is now a weak one 9. LA CATALEYA - Placed in three of her ten starts but does not appear to be progressing right now 10. SCARLETT CHOPE - Just the one win from twenty one starts but looking totally exposed at the minute 11. STORY BEGINS - Placed in two of her dozen starts but cannot be fancied here at all for this Summary This three year old handicap for fillies only looks booked for the joint top weight (1) SHINING STAR who has the advantage of being ridden by Christophe Soumillon. She has run extremely well in all her outings and this mark may underestimate her. (2) MALAKITE can do the chasing home and in turn see off (3) MY LOVELY ONE and (4) PARIS PARIS. 4 Race 4 1. BUBBLY - Half a dozen wins from fifty three and already in grand order this term 2. TEXAS BRIGHT MOON - Just the one win from twenty four and others are mulch preferred here now 3. GUADIX - Dual winner from two dozen runs but not in any type of form and is overlooked 4. EAST INDIA - Twice a winner from twenty nine but in a poor run of form and not ruled in 5. EVER ONE - Triple winner from fifty and back to form second at Saint-Cloud last time. Chance 6. NORTHLANDS - Still a maiden after a dozen tries but was runner up on penultimate one at Longchamp 7. ALFORROCHO - A dual winner from seventy one but has form to be competitive here at a price 8. WHOWASRIGHT - Finished last season in good order but may need this seasonal return here. Chance all the same 9. RONCHOIS - Just the one win from twenty one and must do a lot better to figure now 10. BELLA NOCHE - Is a maiden after twenty eight starts and despite going close on a few ocassions has to be passed over for win purpose 11. GRAND AKBAR - Ten time winning veteran and did it well at Limoges last time out so a contender 12. CALAJANI - Only one victory from thirty two but might have a small squeak at a big price 13. NOTORIOUS IMPERIAL - Is zero from twenty two and simply must do better is the advice for today 14. LOU LOUP - Still a maiden after twenty tree and nothing too much positive in all reality to say 15. REFLET DE LUNE - Dual winner from thirteen and has had some sort of issues to deal with so plenty to prove 16. CRYSTAL ROC - Only one win from twenty seven but ultra competitive and consistent. Every chance 17. VARDARIS - Half a dozen wins from eighty starts but others look better placed for today 18. DIAMOND RED - Just the one success from three dozen runs but good effort at Loudeac last time out Summary

5 This is so totally wide open as the big numbers suggest so basically stakes should be kept on the lower side. However, there is one that takes the eye and makes a fair amount of appeal and that is (16) CRYSTAL ROC who looks sure to give it a right shot based on his overall profile. He is consistent and likes a battle. (6) NORTHLANDS and (5) EVER ONE must be ruled in along with (1) BUBBLY and (8) WHOWASRIGHT. 6 Race 5 1. INTERIEUR - Won on only start at Cagnes-sur-Mer in February and did it well there so noted 2. DARBANZA - Three good runs. Won at Fontainebleau on debut last year and a pleasing reappearance at Longchamp 3. BOULEVARD - Third on debut last November at Deauville and showed loads of promise in the process 4. AIGLE TEEN - Improved for debut at Machecoull when scoring with a bid in hand at this venue on next start 5. CHICHI ONE - Both runs at Chantilly and won on debut before a sixth pace finish next time 6. MADE TO LEAD - Won on debut at Deauville in December and two decent efforts this time round 7. GOLD LAKE - Much improved for debut at Toulouse when taking a Deauville claimer next time 8. HUMANISTE - Won the middle of his three starts and will need even further in time 9. IMPERATORE - Finished tenth on debut at Fontainebleau so needs to improve a bundle now 10. VICTORIA'S ANGEL - One win from ten starts but is an ultra consistent sort so has an outside chance Summary Some very nice sorts on show here for this conditions event for three year olds. (2) DARBANZA has to be chosen. The well connected filly represents some very big players here and has the form already in the book after three starts including a narrow defeat at Longchamp last time out. (3) BOULEVARD and (1) INTERIEUR are both nice types as well. (8) HUMANISTE can grab a slice of the action too. Selections (2) DARBANZA - (3) BOULEVARD - (1) INTERIEUR - (8) HUMANISTE

7 Race 6 1. SHOW THE WAY - Off the mark last month in a claimer at Saint Cloud so should be better for that 2. BEEP BOP PELEM - Placed in all five starts this year and runner up in three of those so bang in form 3. LOCA FURIOSA - Still a maiden after fifteen but was runner up on penultimate one of those at Chantilly 4. JAY KULINA - Much better effort last time out when third at Longchamp so can build further on that 5. ANOTHER LOVE - Remains a maiden after thirteen and really needs to put it all together here 6. OUT OF IDEAS - Just the three runs over as many seasons but better third to Show The Way last time 7. MICOLYS - She is a dual winner from fifteen and was a good third two starts back at Longchamp 8. EL TANGO BELLO - Just the one win from thirteen but always consistent and that is always noteworthy 9. OSPECTOR - Not too much to recommend after nine winless outings so best left alone 10. KHEOPPS - Dual winner from thirteen starts and not far behind a couple of these last time 11. MANILA PALM - Eventually back to form when runner up in a Fontainebleau handicap last time out so back on track 12. RED MISTRAL - Twice a winner from twenty nine but appears to be hopelessly out of sorts right now 13. MAIGVIL - Still a maiden after many runs but has been runner up on his last four starts and surely will crack the code soon 14. SNOWY SUNDAY - Remains a maiden after nine runs but has put up some good performances and could be well in 15. CLOONAGE - Unplaced in all five runs and needs to be doing that bit better here today 16. PRINCESS OF SNOW - Yet to score after twenty seven tries and basically patience has run out with this one 17. LA PLAYA - She is still winless after twenty two and very easy to look elsewhere again Summary It might pay to side with the perennial maiden here in (13) MAIGVIL. One feels for the

8 selection somewhat having been runner up in his last four attempts but the handicapper has been kind and the breakthrough can eventually come in this event. (11) MANILA PALM came back to form last time and looks sure to go well. (2) BEEP BOP PELEM and (8) EL TANGO BELLO must be given a shout as should (7) MICOLYS. 9 RACE 1: SPRING LODGE STAKES (HANDICAP) Sharja Bridge Oasis Charm Brorocco SHARJA BRIDGE was headed in the final strides over 1m at Sandown last autumn and is expected to show up well off 4lb higher now upped in trip on his seasonal bow. Oasis Charm drops back in trip after scoring over 1m2f at Chelmsford last month and has viable place claims, along with Brorocco, who returns from a break but ran well when fifth in the Cambridgeshire here last year. Tricorn and Another Eclipse are two other break returners to monitor closely in the betting. NO. HORSE NAME 1 SPARK PLUG Winner of five races from 1m to 1m 2f on good to firm and good ground. RACE 2: LONGHOLES PALACE HOUSE STAKES (GROUP 3) Mabs Cross Havana Grey Ornate Havana Grey enjoyed a terrific juvenile year, winning twice at Listed level, picking up the Group 3 Molecomb and posting a career-best at the top level when runner-up in the Morny. It will be fascinating to see if he's trained on, though with the benefit of a recent run to her name, MABS CROSS is preferred. She was short of room when a neck second in a Listed fillies' dash at Bath recently and is entitled to come on for the run. Alpha Delphini is expected to step up on his comeback spin at Musselburgh while any money for Ornate, who debuts for a new yard and has been given a wind operation, would also be notable. NO. RACE 3: DUNADEN JOCKEY CLUB STAKES (GROUP 2) Defoe Count Octave Red Verdon DEFOE pulverised his rivals in the John Porter on his seasonal bow two weeks ago and sets a clear form standard on that performance. This is a deeper race than Count Octave won on his return at Wolverhampton, but he did finish ahead of the selection in the St Leger last year and is respected with that recent outing under his belt. The drop back in trip is a plus for close-up All-Weather Marathon fourth Red Verdon, who makes most appeal of the remainder. NO. HORSE NAME 1 COUNT OCTAVE Successful twice at 1m 4f on the all-weather. Won on his latest outing when 1-2fav at Wolverhampton over 1m 4f last month, beating Saroog by a neck. 2 DEFOE Winner of six races from 1m to 1m 5f on ground varying from good to soft. Finished 1l behind Funny Kid when fourth of 9 at 3-1jt-fav on his latest outing at Lingfield over 2m in March. RACE 4: QIPCO 2000 GUINEAS STAKES (GROUP 1) Saxon Warrior Gustav Klimt Masar The first classic of the season looks a highly competitive renewal with a number of the field holding realistic chances. Aidan O'Brien bids for his ninth win in the race and saddles a trio with Gustav Klimt and SAXON WARRIOR looking the main pair to concentrate on, with Murillo likely in there for pacemaking duties. The former wasn't seen after landing the Superlative Stakes at Newmarket in July, but returned with a smooth victory in Leopardstown's 2000 Guineas Trial on ground that wouldn't have been ideal and he is entitled to improve from that effort. That said, it is difficult to get away from his stable companion, who went unbeaten in his juvenile season, finishing off with Group 1 glory in the Racing Post Trophy when getting the better gamely getting the better of Roaring Lion. He looks a very exciting colt with reports that he has become bigger and stronger over the winter. Masar was a wildly impressive winner of the Craven when winning by nine lengths and warrants plenty of respect here, despite being flattered by that performance, while Elarqam, Greenham winner James Garfield and Expert Eye all warrant consideration. NO. HORSE NAME 1 CARDSHARP He has won four times from 5f to 6f on ground varying from good to firm to good to soft. Well beaten behind Dice Roll when 9th of 12 on his latest outing in the Group 3 Djebel Group 3 Stakes at Deauville over 7f last month. 2 ELARQAM Successful twice at 7f on good to soft ground. Won on his latest outing when 11-8fav here over 7f (good to soft) in September last year, beating Tip Two Win by 2 1/4l. 3 EXPERT EYE Successful at 6f and 7f on good ground. Beaten 3/4l by James Garfield when second of 7 at 7-4fav on his latest outing in the Group 3 Al Basti Equiworld Greenham Stakes at Newbury over 7f (good to soft) last month. 4 GUSTAV KLIMT He has won three times at 7f on ground varying from good to firm to heavy.
