CLINICS NEVADA BUCKS Some of you have already heard this, but the 2007 Clinic with Stephen Clarke & Linda Zang is ON April 7 & Morven Park "Training Scale/Judging at all Levels" with Stephen Clarke "O", Great Britain & Linda Zang "O", USA National Levels on Saturday and FEI Levels on Sunday Check out the Charlottesville Chapter s website for details Details and forms are included on pages 6-8. In an effort to recognize all the hard work our volunteers do for us, we are starting a volunteer rewards program in the 2007 membership year. When you volunteer, see a show representative/board member to receive your NEVADA Bucks receipt. The receipt must be signed by the volunteer coordinator/board member. Collect these receipts to cash in for clinics or club merchandise. 1 Volunteer hour = $5 1 Volunteer hour at Recognized Show = $10 Thanks to our volunteers, and we look forward to working with you next year

See if you can guess the dressage move that the hoof prints represent. 804/ NEVADA BOARD MEETING MINUTES NEVADA Board of Directors meeting January 7, 2007 Time: 12:00 Place: Christ Church School Present: Angela Stanaway, Cheryl Painter, Debbie Scripture, Barbara Hope, Deb Evans, Anne Draine Treasurer's Report Deb Evans reported a balance of $6, in checking account. A check for $ will be presented to the Junior division. This represents the proceeds from the October 29 show at Scripture Farm. A volunteer coordinator is needed for the Recognized Show. A motion was made to accept proposed changes to by-laws concerning the changes of the annual dates which were published in last month's newsletter. A vote was taken and all were in favor. If you are planning to show any dressage this year, this clinic will be invaluable for learning how to correctly ride the movements. And what exactly those judges are looking for in order to give you the 7s, 8s and 9s that you know that you deserve Come ready to discuss the tests with expert "S" judge, Mrs. Kay Meredith from Raleigh NC. This is a clinic for auditors. Non-SVDA members are welcome. FEI professional trainers from SVDA will be demonstrating. It will be in a covered riding arena with a regulation size dressage ring. 10 NEVADA MEDAL AWARDS PROGRAM The NEVADA medal awards program presents medals to riders who receive scores of over 60% at each level. The rules are shown on the form attached to this newsletter. MEDAL AWARD FORM Medal Award Form Date & Show Name/Location Score Level Secretary s Signature 1.Rider must submit four (4) scores from four (4) different judges at four (4) different NEVADA schooling or Recognized sanctioned shows. Scores from the 2006 competition year and subsequent competition years are accepted. 2.This is a rider-only award, Once a medal is earned, the rider cannot receive the same medal in that level. 3.Scores need not be earned in one year, but scores can be used only once.
