Turn left into Spring Creek Road (just over the bridge) and travel for 4kms. The Jaegar farm is on the right ( and will be clearly marked) before the cross roads of Spring Creek and Creek Junction roads. If you are coming from the Maroondah Hwy end from Merton Travel past the Merton General Store and turn left into the road marked To Strathbogie (about 600metres from the store). The dirt windy road leads to the other side of Strathbogie. Follow the signs to Strathbogie, drive through the town and turn right into Spring Creek Road before the bridge going out of the town. 3 I have journeyed through twelve years of focussed breeding to produce suri alpacas with sound conformation, and fleece characterised by lustre, silky handle and flat lock architecture. This has resulted in a consistent quality suri herd of which I am very proud. I have achieved the qualities of lustre, silky handle and consistent micron in white, fawn, brown and black suris. I am passionate about suri alpaca fleece. I am now changing direction from breeding and exhibiting stud suri alpacas and working with fibre, to having a total focus on the commercial processing and retailing of suri fleece as high quality exclusive yarn and fibre products such as Supersuri, MeriSuri and SuriSilk. I have therefore decided to put to auction the best breeding females, young females and stud males from my Jaegar suri alpaca herd. I have selected my herd s best animals and within this group there are genetics from imported Peruvian bloodlines, (Jolimont Carlos) Surilana Piccolo and Icalon progeny, and the consistent quality from the original coloured suris imported to Australia. The Jaegar genetics have produced suri alpacas with national and local show exhibiting success and all of the best fleece from the Jaegar herd is used to produce the unique SuriSilk, MeriSuri and Supersuri products. The Jaegar herd offers the Australasian suri alpaca industry a point of difference with imported and desirable genetics and high quality suri animals. I have decided on a reserved price auction based on the genetics, quality and age of each animal. I have also paired up many of the females with their last cria. All of the alpacas on offer are pure suris. I invite you to seriously consider these wonderful, quality suri alpacas and the contributions that these animals and their genetics could make to your alpaca breeding program. 4 Information for Buyers Auction Start: 1.00 pm Inspections: Day of sale from am Registration: All prospective buyers must register at the Landmark Buyer Registration Office on site prior to auction. Terms are strictly cash unless prior arrangements have been made with the auctioneers. Delivery: Will be at the conclusion of the sale. Transport: Buyers should make their own transport arrangements prior to the auction. Insurance: Representatives of insurance companies will be in attendance or recommended on sale day.
