Conditions. P1: Pigs to be penned by 7.30am Thursday ready for judging 9.30am Thursday. Last wash time 7.30am for safety reasons. P2: Loading out no earlier than 5.30pm Friday. Stock to enter grounds via Livestock Entrance, Curletts Road gate only. P3: Pedigrees are not required at time of entry. Only the breeder s name will be recorded in the catalogue. Breeders are encouraged to display pedigrees on pens. P4: All pigs entered in Pedigree Classes must be registered or the litter record covering the birth of any pig entered must have been filed with the N.Z. Pig Breeders Association in accordance with the Rules of that Association. P5: All Boars 6 months and above, that have not had their tusks removed, will be disqualified. P6: Pigs to be numbered prior to entering the Judging Ring. P7: A Committee will be appointed to go through the Classes and to disqualify any animal which they consider over the age specified. P8: Champion ribbons will be given for the Champion Pig in each section unless sufficient entries to have separate Boar and Sow Champion in which case a Supreme prize card would be awarded. Association prize cards and ribbons will be provided. No pig under eight months is eligible for the Championship. P9: Junior Champion Ribbons will be given by the Canterbury Branch NZ Pig Breeders Association for the Supreme Junior Champion Boar and Supreme Junior Champion Sow under eight months of age. P10: Sow & Litter Classes - Not less than 8 in litter, piglets not to exceed 8 weeks. Boar piglets not to be castrated. Presentation of exhibits during judging. No distinguishing mark of ownership or stud name, with the exception of earmarks, tattoos, eartags and registered brands, may be attached to the animal exhibited or the handler.
