The attached JOHNES DECLARATION must be completed and returned with entry or entry will be rejected. The Society has adopted the minimum standard for show organisers as recommended by the National JD Market Assurance Program whereby a declaration must be signed stating that Johnes disease is not known or suspected to have occurred during the past 5 years in herds or properties from which these animals originate. The Society will also undertake to segregate al TN1 status goats. Blood testing is not required to complete the form. CONDITIONS 1. There are no restrictions on the number of entries by an exhibitor in any class. 2. Judging will commence at 9.30 am Saturday 21st October exhibitors are asked to be in position by 8.30 am. (unless competing in later classes.) 3. All Boer goats entering in full-blood sections must be registered and be able to produce registration certificates. 4. No competitor will address the judge whilst judging is underway unless asked a question. Should a competitor wish, they may ask a steward who will approach the judge after the class. 5. All competitors are reminded that appropriate attire will be required to be worn whilst competing. 6. Registered goats must be clearly tattooed or double tagged, commercial goats must have NLIS tag 7. All goats must be clean and free of vermin. 8. All goats must be penned or securely tied, bucks with approved collars and chains, in an area indicated by the stewards. 9. Competitors are reminded that they must adhere to their society's code of conduct at all times. 10. Competitors are reminded that whilst at the show they will display good sportsmanship at all times and conduct themselves in a manner as will reflect credit on themselves, their societies and goats. 2
