Boer Goats showing in Saturday s Open Show must be in place and checked in by 3 pm on Friday, October 10. Boer Goats showing in Saturday s Junior Show must be in place and checked in by 3 pm on Friday, October 10. All Boer Goats & tack must be removed from the Goat Center by 6 PM on Saturday, October 11. 2 SPECIAL RULES 1. ABGA rules shall govern the Open Boer Goat Show. 2. All exhibits and exhibitors must comply with General Rules and Regulations and Open Show specific rules and also be in compliance with IAFE National Code of Show Ring Ethics. 3. All Open Boer goats must be registered in the ABGA herd book 30 days prior to the opening date of the show. 4. Animals must have registration numbers at time of entry. 5. Original registration papers must be shown at time of check-in. No copies of papers will be accepted. 6. Goats must be registered in the name of the registered owner. 7. Percentage Boer Doe Classes are for does 50% to 87% Boer. Full-blood Boer Classes are 15/16 (93.7%) and higher for does and 31/32 (96.8%) and higher for bucks. 8. Group class entries must be done according to same deadline and guidelines as individual class entries. There will be NO on site entries of group classes in Animals shown in group classes must also be shown in individual classes. 10. Base date for figuring age is the date of the show. 11. All goats must exhibit well-healed tattoos. Tattoos must be accurately entered at time of entry 12. Boer goats may have other means of permanent identification consistent with its registration certificate. If the animal has a microchip as its permanent identification, the exhibitor is responsible for providing a microchip reader. 13. Any Boer goat showing any pronounced defect or abnormality will be barred from all of the breeding classes. 14. Artificial coloring will be a disqualification. 15. Any Boer doe over 24 months of age that has not kidded and cannot prove a current pregnancy will not be allowed to show An exhibitor shall not present an animal to be shown under a judge from whom it was purchased or possession taken within 90 days of the show. 2

Boer Goats showing in Saturday s Junior Show must be in place and checked in by 3 pm on Friday, October 10. All Boer Goats & tack must be removed from the Goat Center by 6 PM on Saturday, October 11.
