Exhibitors must be in place by 8:00 p.m., Friday Sept. 28 Late arrivals will not be accepted unless approved by show officials ahead of time. Check-in w/ Show Secretaries: Friday Sept. 28 th 6-8pm Show Start Time: Saturday, Sept. 29, 1 pm *Second Show Sunday Sept. 30, 11:00 am Premiums: Premiums will be based on a 50% payback- based on entries per class Release: Sunday, Sept. 30 th, 5:00 pm Open Boer Goat Show Rules: The State Fair General Rules, the Livestock Rules and the Show Ring Code of Ethics apply to this department. By submitting an entry you agree to read and abide by these rules. 1. This Open Boer Goat show is sanctioned by the American Boer Goat Association and ABGA rules shall govern provided they do not conflict with any of the rules or regulations of the State Fair of Virginia. 2. There is an entry fee of $20.00 per goat due by September 7, A late fee of $40 for entries postmarked after September 7th will apply. All bedding is to be furnished by the exhibitor or purchased from SFVA. All entries must be printed and mailed to David Carter. 2 4. Original registration certificate is required for all animals. (No Photocopies) All animals must have Legible tattoos and must match registration certificate. 5. Age of animals will be computed as of the day of the show. 6. Substitutions will be allowed only within the same class. 7. Dogs are prohibited. 8. Health Papers required for all goats per State Fair of Virginia rules. This includes in- state goats as well as out of state goats. All goats must comply with Va Scrapie rules The show committee and/or the Virginia State fairgrounds will not be held responsible for loss, damages or accidents. 10. All goats must remain on the fairgrounds until released Sunday October 1, 2017 at 5:00 pm. There will be no early releases granted for any reason.
