Nominations are accepted through August 15, 2018 by mail or The BHDGA Sale Committee will contact all nominees on or before September 1, 2018, and indicate whether they have been accepted to the sale. 3. Selected Sire Sale will be Saturday, September 22, at approximately 4:30 pm, at the 1 st Annual BHDGA Show, in Sundance, WY. 4. BHDGA will supply auctioneer, ring man, sound system, etc. 5. Sale will be advertised on different medias with pictures and descriptions of bucks for sale. 6. Commission will be 15% on sold animals, and a $25 No Sale fee (decided in the ring). 7. Sale will accept cash or debit/credit card. Payment will be made to the seller by check. 8. Sale order will be determined by BHDGA. 9. Application should include pictures (front, rear, side view) of the animal and a copy of registration papers. Any additional information, including show records, Linear Appraisal, DHIR data, or other information on the buck and his immediate family should also be included as you would like it presented in advertising and announced at the sale. 10. Animal must have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and negative CAE test within 30 days. CL, Johne s, TB, and Brucellosis testing recommended, and status of such will be announced at the sale. 3 Show Secretary & Entry Coordinator: Frances Loehr or Show Chairman & Facilities: Tanja Miller Judges: Jay Rudolph & Lorelei Hallock This show is sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association and their rules shall govern. Notice: Any person interfering with the ADGA judge or show committee and/or disrupting the show will be dismissed from the show ring and/or grounds and can be denied show privileges in the future. Sanctions: This is a double ring show, with two Senior Doe, two Buck, and two Junior Doe shows. The senior and junior doe shows are separately sanctioned. Show order listed below is subject to change, according number of entries per breed, and allowing for flow of both sow rings. Order will be posted on Facebook, available at check-in, and posted on the day of the show. ADGA ribbons will be awarded, no premiums. Breeds sanctioned for Senior Does are: Alpine, LaMancha, Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, Recorded Grade, Saanen and All Other Purebreds (AOP Sable, Toggenburg, Oberhasli). Breeds sanctioned for Bucks are: Alpine, LaMancha, Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, Oberhasli, and All Other Purebreds (AOP Sable, Toggenburg, Saanen). Breeds sanctioned for Junior Does are: Alpine, LaMancha, Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, Recorded Grade, and All Other Purebreds (AOP Sable, Toggenburg, Saanen, Oberhasli) Entries: Send entries to Frances Loehr, Ghost Canyon Road, Hermosa, SD, or to loehr08@gmail.com and mail your check. Entries must be postmarked no later than September 8, 2018, or a late fee will be charged. $8.00 per animal per ring/ $10.00 per animal after September 8. Entries are not complete until fees are received. Fees are non-refundable. Registration and Recordation Certificates: Only goats registered with ADGA, AGS, or CGS are eligible to compete. Those goats who have applied for registration with the above organizations may also compete. A registration/recordation certificate or a stamped duplicate showing the date received by ADGA office is required for any animal under 6 months of age, and is valid for 30 days. A registration/recordation certificate is required for any goat 6 months of age or older. No copies of the registration/recordation certificate or the stamped duplicate shall be accepted by the show officials. The documents specified above as the requirement of the animal of that age to be shown must have been presented to the show secretary before judging begins. Proof of ownership shall be the name on the registration/recordation certificate or the stamped duplicate. Information obtained from the ADGA office via telephone, telegram, , etc, shall not be accepted in lieu of the document specified above. Health Requirements: WY law requires all out-of-state goats be accompanied by a valid health certificate (CVI). A Scrapie Premise ID number may be required to obtain the import permit, please note that tattoos accompanying a registration paper are acceptable Scrapie ID in Wyoming. A press release attesting to this is available on the Wyoming Livestock Board website. Health certificates will be verified at time of check-in. Diseased or injured animals will be removed from the grounds upon recommendation of the show committee. Animals deemed unworthy of competition by the show committee may be barred from the competition and removed from the grounds. In such cases, pen and entry fees submitted by the owner will be forfeited.

4 Grooming: Clipping is OPTIONAL at this show, including showmanship animals. Animals should be clean and groomed. All goats must be dehorned or naturally polled. Youth Showmanship: Showmanship class will be offered on Saturday morning, promptly at 7:00 am. Seniors (14-19) and Peewee (under 8) will show concurrently, followed by Junior (8-10) and Intermediate (11-13). Ages as of January 1, $4/entry of Junior, Intermediate, Senior. No charge for Peewee. Judges will be informed that clipping is optional. Milk out at your own discretion. Over-uddered does will be discriminated against. Champion Challenge: Permanent Champions may show in either the regular or Challenge Class, whichever the owner chooses. The Grand Champion of the same show must show in the class, and the winner of it shall be called the Best of Breed. If the Grand Champion of the day does not win this class, it will not compete in the Best of Show class, the winner of the challenge class will compete. Permanent Champions shown in these classes are not barred from competition in udder classes. Proof of Championship shall be the prefix CH or GCH as affix by the ADGA to the animal s registration/recordation. The winner of the Champion Challenge class must compete in the Best in Show class. Dogs: Dogs are not allowed in the penning area or barns. Pens: A variety of pens are available at the Crook County Fairground. Please note on your entry form how many you would like. There is no fee for pens. Note that it will be rutting season for many bucks, so if you need taller pens or specific arrangements, please call Tanja Miller Feed and Bedding: Available for pre-purchase on the entry form. There is a $50 fee/$75 late fee for printing straws for each buck, payable to Capra Gia Genetics. Straws are $4.50 each, minimum of Collection will begin promptly at 8 am. ALL participants must be present at that time. 6. You will need to bring a teaser doe. 7. Invoices will be available Friday night, September 21. They must be paid to get your collection certificate. 8. Semen will be available for pick-up on Saturday morning.
