2 Rules and Regulations 1. Entries MUST be postmarked by May 1, Entry fee is $4.00 per animal, per show. Entries postmarked after May 1, 2012 or for day of show entries will be assessed charges at $8.00 per animal, per show. ENTRIES ON DAY OF SHOW WILL BE CASH ONLY. There will be no refund of fees for any reason. No faxed entries will be accepted. There will be a $25.00 fee charged for all returned checks. Substitutions may be made the day of the show. This show is sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association and its rules will govern. Only ADGA, AGS and CGS registered, recorded or applied animals may be shown. The Youth, Open Jr. Doe and Open Sr. Doe shows are sanctioned for Alpine, Lamancha, Nigerian, Nubian, Saanen, Toggenburg, Recorded Grade and All Other Purebred (AOP). This will be the show order in the Youth Jr. Doe, Youth Sr. Doe, Open Jr. Doe and Open Sr. Doe shows. The order of the show is not subject to change. The Open Jr. Doe and Open Sr. Doe shows are separately sanctioned. The Youth Shows are separately sanctioned for Jr. Doe and Sr. Doe Shows. There will be a Champion Challenge class in the Open Sr. Doe Show for the following breeds: Alpine, Lamancha, Nubian, Saanen, Toggenburg, Recorded Grade and Nigerian Dwarf. 3. All animals over six months of age must be accompanied by the original registration certificate which must be shown to the show secretary prior to the start of judging. The original registration certificate or duplicate application stamped by the ADGA office is required for all animals under six months of age. The base date for computing animal s age is May 19, All Maryland entries must be in accordance with MD State Health regulations, which is to be shown to show officials. ALL ANIMALS MUST BE CHECKED BEFORE UNLOADING. DO NOT UNLOAD UNTIL ANIMALS HAVE BEEN CHECKED BY A DESIGNATED MEMBER OF THE SHOW COMMITTEE. All out of state animals must have interstate health papers. Any animal showing signs of infectious or contagious disease, as determined by the show officials, will be barred from the show. The decisions of the show officials are final. 5. All animals should be in place one hour prior to the start of the show. Check in will begin two hours prior to the beginning of the show. Animals may arrive Friday night, overnight security will not be provided. 6. Pens are available on a first come, first serve basis. Pen fee is $5.00 for the day. If not purchasing pens, there is a $10.00 flat fee for showing out of your trailer. No straw or bedding will be provided. Pens and all areas used will be cleaned by the exhibitor. 7. There will be no pre-show milk out. Animals with overly distended udders will be discriminated against. Absolutely no unauthorized dumping of milk will be permitted on the Fair Grounds. If you have milk to dump, please ask.

3 8. You are entering the Allegany County Fairgrounds at your own risk. Neither the Capering Kids 4-H Goat Club, ADGA, Allegany County Fairgrounds nor any representative of the aforementioned organizations will be held responsible for accidents or loss to persons, animals or property while on the grounds. Signed entry forms for the show indicates acceptance of this condition. 9. No Smoking is allowed in or around the barn area or show ring. Dogs MUST be leashed at all times while on the Fairgrounds property. No dogs are allowed in the barn or show ring area. Bicycles, skateboards or the like are prohibited in the barn and show ring areas. 10. Concession stand will be available. Concession stand hours will be determined by the concession vendor. 11. University of Maryland Extension programs are open to all citizens without regard to race, color, gender, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, or national origin. 12. The Youth Show will begin immediately following the Alpine portion of the Open Sr. Doe Show. There is no time set for the start of the Youth Show and will be solely based on the time needed by the judge in the Open Sr. Doe Ring. 13. All Best of Breed winners will be required to show for the Best Doe in Show or forfeit any legs earned from the show. 14. All youth will be permitted to participate in a Youth Showmanship competition in Ring 2 just prior to the start of the Combined Youth Sr/Jr Doe Show. There is no fee for entry and a cash award for Best Showman by class will be awarded as well as a Best Showman Overall.
