2 PACIFIC NORTHWEST SHOW RULES 1. ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED BY JULY 23 rd ENTRY PACKETS WILL NOT BE GIVEN OUT UNTIL ENTRY FEES ARE PAID. POST ENTRIES may be made up to two classes before the class to be entered at a $5.00 additional charge. All penalty fees will apply to e n t r i e s p o s t m a r k e d a f t e r a b o v e d a t e s. Management reserves the right to accept entries for unfilled classes at the regular fee. All fees must be paid in U.S. dollars. Checks returned for insufficient funds will be charged a $35.00 handling fee and must be replaced by money order or cash. Entry fees will be refunded only upon si gned certificate from Vet erinarian presented to the show Secretary prior to the first class in which the horse is entered. A $50.00 office charge will be made on all cancelled entries and this will be applied to a class sponsorship in the exhibitor s name. Office will be open continuously, beginning one hour before the beginning of each morning performance and closing 15 minutes after the conclusion of the last class in each day. Post Entry Fees do not apply to AMHA Medal Classes. 2. MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Due to our designation as a USEF Local show, it is no longer required that competitors be members of USEF or pay a non-member fee. Those competing for Horse of the Year or entering any Amateur classes must still provide membership confirmation. All exhibitors/owners/trainers must be members of AMHA or pay the non member fee! Proof of membership is required with entry. 3. STABLING: Permanent and portable box stalls with full or half doors will be available at a rate of $ per stall for 5 nights, $ per stall for 4 nights, $120. for three nights or $60.00 for a single night/day. Tack stalls are available at the same rate. Horses may arrive Tuesday af t erno on b y a rr an gem en t. W ed n esd a y i s preferred by the facility. Anyone showing from their trailer must pay a $25.00 clean-up fee per horse per day. Those requiring stabling for a longer period of time MUST make arrangements with the show secretary. Stabling fees will be refunded only if stall is resold. 4. SHAVINGS: First Bedding will be furnished. Additional shavings will be available for $10.00 per bale (or market price) at the show office. This is the information available at time of printing but is subject to change. TO SAVE MONEY, BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING IF POSSBILE. 5. Stall chart and phone number for veterinarian on call will be posted at the show office. 6. RV- hookups are available at $30.00 a night. Dogs will not be allowed on the grounds unless they are leashed - City Ordinance. 7. TROPHY/RIBBONS: Trophy & Ribbons to six places in all classes except Junior Exhibitor classes and Championship classes, which will be awarded a trophy and eight ribbons. In-Hand Show Champions will receive appropriate perpetual and annual trophies and ribbon. Reserve Show In-Hand Champions will receive appropriate ribbon. In performance classes in which perpetual trophies are awarded, winners will receive an accompanying "Keeper" trophy and appropriate ribbon. 8. The US Equestrian Federation rules governing all classes will apply in this show, and persons 17 years of age and under are eligible for Amateur classes. Cross entry permitted between English Pleasure and Classic Pleasure & Driving as long as shoeing meets appropriate requirements 9. Prize money will be paid by check and presented at the show or mailed within 20 business days after conclusion of the show at the discretion of show management. USEF Local shows are prohibited from offering over $500. in premium money. $100. cash prizes will be awarded to High-Point horses in Hunter, Western, English, Driving and Dressage divisions. 10. If, during a class, an exhibitor wishes to be excused from the class, the exhibitor must ask the judge for permission to be excused before he/she may leave the ring.

VERSATILITY AWARD Rules for competition: l. Exhibitor must register the horse for the Award on the entry blank. 2. The horse must enter at least five different categories 3. The horse may enter as many classes as desired, but only the highest placing in each category will count toward the Award. 4. Points will be tabulated as follows: lst-one pt for each horse shown, 2 nd, one less, 3 rd, one less, etc. Example: For a class with five entries: 1 st 5 pts, 2nd-4 pts, 3rd-3 pts, etc. 5. A tie will be resolved in favor of the horse with the most first place awards, second place awards, etc.. Masters and Walk-Trot Pleasure may be used to meet English, Driving, Hun te r or W estern Ple asure r equi re men t. Equitation including Walk-trot, Equitation & Showmanship earns one point for participation if the rider places. Horses competing for the grass area outside the show office. Other activities will be listed in the show program. S P E C I A L E V E N T S A R E P L A N N E D THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND! HIGH POINT MORGAN JUNIOR EXHIBITORS Four High-Point Junior Exhibitor Awards will be presented, one each for Hunt Seat, Western, Saddle Seat (Saddle Seat to include Classic.) and Walk-Trot. Jr. Exhibitors may show in all classes and all seats that they wish, but they may sign up for a High Point Award in only one seat or walk-trot, and must sign up and declare which classes they are entering for points before the first class of the show. Classes to count are: HUNT SEAT: Trail, showmanship, equitation at age level (not AMHA Medal), pleasure at age level, and any other hunter seat classes at the show. W E S T E R N S E A T: Trail, showmanship, equitation at age level (not AMHA Medal), pleasure at age level, and any other western seat classes at the show. SADDLE SEAT: Trail, showmanship, equitation at age level (not AMHA Medal), pleasure at age level, and other English classes at the show including the Classic division. WALK-TROT: Showmanship, Equitation and Pleasure all seats, miscellaneous classes such as Pairs, Partners, Musical ride. POINTS: Points for equitation, showmanship and Championships will count 8 for 1st, 7 for 2nd, etc. Points for all other classes will count 5 for 1st, 4 for 2nd, etc. A tie will be resolved in favor of the exhibitor with the most first place awards,

4 second place awards, etc., and if still a tie, but the toss of a coin. AMHA YOUTH OF THE YEAR CONTEST The oral and written tests will take place after the last class in the Saturday afternoon performance. Sierra Breckinridge is in charge. PNW MORGAN HIGH-POINT HORSE AWARDS $100 CASH will be awarded to five horses earning the most competition points for the entire weekend; one each in the Hunter, Western, English, Driving and Dressage Divisions. All classes in appropriate attire to count. No Fee Justin Morgan Standard Class. This class is open to any age or sex, not to exceed 15.1 hands and a maximum hoof length of 4 ½, including show & pad, will apply. One handler only, no whips allowed, to lead entry into the ring, single file, at a walk. Horses are to be judged individually, each standing square and at the walk. Entries MAY be jogged, at the judge s request, along the rail and must be serviceably sound. This class is based on the Original Morgan type and will be judged using the Morgan Standard of Perfection from 1952 and closest resemblance to the statue of Justin Morgan, located at Weybridge, VT. MO191-#19. MORGAN SPORT HORSE IN HAND May be split further by age if entries warrant. Sport Horse specifications, see General Rules section of book and MO178. Motorized Vehicle Statement Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

12 GR845 Equine Vaccination Rule 1. At Federation licensed competitions horses, more than 7 months of age, entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers or veterinarian s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. 2. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration. 3. In the case of vaccines administered by a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine purchase which is signed by the owner, or agent with care, custody, and control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. 4. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management, steward, or technical delegate when requested. 5. Competition Management may not amend or enhance vaccination requirements without prior approval of the Veterinary Committee.
