2 Introduction K-1 Open World Amateur Championships 2017 Florence, Italy 8 th - 10 th December 2017 Florence a city of myth and legend will host 3 days of beautiful violence featuring some of the World s most iconic combat sports brands. The K-1 OPEN 2017 the only official K-1 World Amateur Championships with it roots going always back to the epic battles at Tokyo Dome. K-1 produced great stars including Giorgio Petrosyan, Andy Souwer and Buakaw who are still in the business having millions of fans Worldwide. K-1 OPEN World Amateur Championship offers the opportunity to win a real K-1 Amateur World Title and at the same time to be seen by the most important promoters and managers and scouts as they search for the next generation of K-1 stars. The K-1 OPEN will be on the 8th, 9th & 10th December on Saturday 9th December the Championship will finish at 4 pm allowing the fighters, coaches and friends to cross the street (3 min walking distance) and enter the huge Mandela Forum to see Oktagon Florence. Saturday 9th December Mandela Forum will host Oktagon Florence which includes Bellator Kickboxing and Bellator MMA title fight and of course Europe s longest running and most successful combat sport brand Oktagon. Giorgio Petrosyan (ITA) fighting vs Yodwicha (THAI) for the Bellator Kickboxing - 70 Kg title, Armen Petrosyan (ITA) fighting vs Amansio Parashiv (ROM) for the ISKA - 70 Kg world title, Musta Haida (ITA) fighting vs Samy Sana (F) for the ISKA Kg world title. More fights to be confirmed. The Kickboxing ring will transform into a Bellator cage and the Bellator Middleweight title will be contested the reigning Champion Brazilian Rafael Carvalho will fight Alessio Sakara the Legionarius of Italy. 4 Entry requirements The K-1 Open World Amateur Championships is open to all competent competitive martial artists. Competitors must produce a personal insurance certificate or, if they don t possess it, they can do it for during the weigh-in by previously communicating their personal information to segreteria@fight1.it no later than November 28 th, At registration and weigh in all competitors must produce passport or an identity document issued by the country/region which he represents, Photo ID (Passport, ID card, EU driving License), a Medical certificate/document signed by a qualified physician confirming the competitor is medically fit to compete. Competitors must bring a health certificate (not older than 12 months). For K-1 Light it is necessary medical certification fit to compete in Light Contact Rules Specialties. For K-1 Full Contact Rules it is necessary specific and regular medical certification for Full Contact Rules Specialties as medical certification fit to compete in K-1 Rules full contact, Kickboxing full contact, Low Kick Kickboxing full contact, Muay Thai full contact rules, Sanda/San Shou full contact rules (not older than 12 months). This medical certification is a specific one. It is the same certification necessary to compete in Boxing competitions with specific medical examinations as electroencephalogram (not needed for England and those countries that have an own specific certification for ring sports, according their national regulations). All the women competitors in K-1 Full Contact Rules at weigh in have to present to the physician a pregnancy test within 14th days before competitions, with negative result. Please control all necessary documents to participate K-1 Open World Amateur Championships. The minimum age for competitors is 13 years in K-1 Light and 16 years in K-1. All Competitors under the age of 18 years must provide written permission of a parent or guardian (as in responsibility form pack). The registration to the competition includes the acceptance that if some categories and weigh divisions will have an insufficient number of registered athletes, the organization could move them to other close categories and weight divisions. Entrance fees Pre-registration before 15 th October Registration until 28 th November 2017 The K-1 Open World Amateur Championships is pre-entry only for competitors. All competitors must register and pay the entrance fee before the 28 th November Competitors Pre-registration: 50 (fifty euro) must be paid before 15 th October Competitors Registration after 15 th October (sixty euro) - last term until 28 th November Competitors extra category/division: Pre-registration 30 (thirty) each Registration 40 (forty) each. Every team who reserved the suggested hotels will have free entrance for all coaches. Teams with less than 4 fighters, not in the suggested hotels, will receive 1 coach pass free of charge. Teams with 4 or more fighters, not in the suggested hotels, will receive 2 coaches passes free of charge. 6 K-1 Open Rules Summary K-1 Light Cadets Boys & Girls and years: Controlled light contact to head body arms and legs no spinning back fist or knee strikes to the head 3 x 1 ½ minute rounds eliminations and finals, scoring criteria will favour technique over aggression. K-1 Light Seniors Men & Women years, Veterans Men & Women years: Controlled light contact to head body arms and legs no spinning back fist or knee strikes to the head 3 x 2 minute rounds eliminations and finals, scoring criteria will favour technique over aggression. K-1 Cadets Boys & Girls years: K-1 Rules with exceptions, no spinning back fist or knee strikes to the head, standing eight counts, referees will give a standing eight count for even minor signs of distress, un-wiliness to compete or inability to defend, 3 x 1 ½ minute rounds eliminations and finals, standard K-1 scoring criteria. K-1 Seniors B class Men & Women years: B Class Competitors must not have more than 10 fights and never competed in A class, records will be verified any competitor giving false information will be disqualified, K-1 Rules with exceptions, no spinning back fist or knee strikes to the head 3 x 2 minute rounds eliminations and finals, standard K-1 scoring criteria. Flag & Anthems Please bring the CD of your National anthem, and two (2) national flags (72 cm x 120 cm). Awards Every competitor will receive the Official K-1 Open Participation Certificate, the Semi-finalist (last 4) in each division will be awarded medals as follows: 1st Place Gold medal; 2nd Place Silver medal; 3rd Place Bronze medal (x2 joint third).

How to reach the sport venue called FIRENZE MARATHON WELLNESS - VIA MALTA 10 FIRENZE Florence Airport: The Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci) is connected with the city centre by VOLAINBUS, a service provided by BUSITALIA - SITA Nord. This is a really shuttle service (bout 20 minutes) between the airport terminal and the Santa Maria Novella railway station at the centre of Florence. Pisa Airport: The Pisa Airport (Galileo Galilei) is about 1 km from Pisa Centrale railway station, from wich you can easily reach Florence by train or bus in 80 minutes. At less than 40 metres from the Passenger Terminal at Pisa Airport, you can find the People Mover service for direct connection between the Pisa airport and the Pisa Centrale station. By Train From Firenze Santa Maria Novella station, take bus 10 or 17 or 20. From Firenze Campo di Marte station it's 5 minutes walking distance. By Car A convenient Highway network connects Florence to the rest of Italy and Europe. The place is only 2km away from the main national highway (A1 Autostrada del Sole). The suggested exit from the A1 is Firenze Sud. The FIRENZE MARATHON WELLNESS is reachable following the indications for the Campo di Marte Stadium area.
