1 MAY 2015 VolumeXV, Issue 5 Business Meeting: 3 rd Tuesday of each month at Wyatt Johnson Toyota Dealership on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. 6:30 PM PRESIDENT S CORNER All of this recent ice and snow we have had has sort of put a damper on any activities involving our cars. We are, however, still congregating at Wendy s on Saturday nights weather permitting. Well here it is, almost spring, and time to get the cars out of the garage when we can to wash them off, and slap a little wax on them. We had a great start to the cruise-in season with our first big cruise-in of the year the first Saturday of April. I hope our club members can band together this year and try to make a lot of shows, Rod Runs, and other events together. Hopefully we will have some really nice weather in the coming days, so we need to make the very best of it. If you have any suggestions on locations for our rod runs, please let Frances know so she can check on arrangements. We had a good turnout f or Rivers & Spires on the 18th of April. Don t forget we need door prizes and trophy and plaque sponsorships for our car show coming up in September. It s better we get them early than to have to worry about them as time gets closer for the show Jim has been busy getting out all the renewal notices to those members who have not yet renewed their club membership. It is important that you renew, because this gives us operating capital for the coming year, which combined with proceeds from the annual car show, give us the money we need to do the things we do each year. Members who do not renew will no longer receive the club newsletters, so members please get those dues in as soon as possible! I was sorry to hear that Gabby fell and broke her hip recently, and I hope she mends quickly and has a full recovery (so does Tommy!) Thanks for the support you give me as your President, and I promise I will do the very best job I can for the club. Let s all pull together, and make this a big year for the club!
