Registration begins at 7:30 AM. Trophies: There will be several trophies handed out such as, best 60 s, best 70 s, best 80 s, best 90 s, and best of today. 4 May Birthdays: Monty Courtney, Martha Duerksen, Teresa Linn, and Charles Stookey New Members: We welcome back past members, Tom and Connie Douglas. Special Thoughts: Teresa Linn s father recently had heart surgery, so keep Teresa and Tom and their family in your positive thoughts April Car Cruise to Davis Dinner at the Smokin Joe s 11 cars made the trip The cruise started at Blanchard and wandered around the country side to Davis. Thanks to Tracy and Larry for planning the trip. BBQ was excellent.
5 CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CLASSIC CHEVY CLUB MINUTES of APRIL 9, 2017 CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CLASSIC CHEVY CLUB Call to Order: Joe McIninch called the meeting to order at Earl s BQ in Moore. Pledge of allegiance was given. Minutes and Treasurer s Report: Minutes of last meeting were published in the Dashboard. Motion by Annette and seconded by Kay to accept. Accepted. Treasurer s report was given by Adeline. Delinquent dues notices will be sent in April. Dropped from membership and mailing list if not paid by May 30. New hats, black and white are now available $10 each. April birthdays: Peggy Bogardus, Gary Gardner, Mike Rhoades and Ruby Watt. April Anniversaries: Hugh & Doris 59th, Adeline & Mike 53rd, and Terry & Kay 10th Welcomed Tom Douglas to the meeting Tom has 18 cars, Model A, mustangs, Porsches, and chevys. Old Business: VW shared highlights from their trip to Florida - started with a slight miscalculation of map reading so just went 100 miles out of their way then met up with tremendous rain storms so reaching their destination with very dirty cars. VW scored 3rd with 992 points but was dinged for not having a spotless car. NOW: after VW reported, Larry told us the trick for have a clean car underside...ask him. New Business: Ladies Choice trophy was presented to Billy Overall s good looking crème puff. Good turn out for this past weekend OHRA 1442 cars Club needs to have membership forms and some car club info as so many participants from OKC area. Annette shared winning a car motif quilt Billy Overall shared that People s Church is having car show Father s Day, requested cars from club as we are only club being invited. Larry talked about doing a Garage Crawler as an event visiting car enthusiasts unique garages he has 4 volunteers to date Discussed upcoming car shows listed on first 3 pages of Dashboard Discussed having an open forum during the meeting so that various car issues could be discussed. Forum not after but during meeting time. Today s discussion was on gasoline regurge at the pump. Many had no solution but suggested using a paper towel to hold the pump nozzle to catch excess fuel. 22 Members attended. Meeting adjourned at 4:15. 9 Editorial Note: I am interested in adding several other sections or articles to the newsletter. I have interviewed and reviewed other car club newsletters. Plan to do a feature article on officers and car club member several times a year, would like to have a tips on mechanics and a recipe section. So please contribute. If you want to send pictures and I interview you, this can also be done.
