1 JULY 2015 VolumeXV, Issue 7 Business Meeting: 3 rd Tuesday of each month at Wyatt Johnson Toyota Dealership on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. 6:30 PM Well, summer is here with all the hot weather and humidity to go with it. Hopefully it won t get too much hotter than it already is, so that we can all go to a few car shows and cruise-ins before it gets unbearable. We have had a great start to the cruise-in season with our first three monthly cruise-ins of the year. Turnout has been respectable all three of the nights. I hope our club members can band together this year and try to make a lot of shows, Rod Runs, and other events together. Hopefully we will have some really nice weather in the coming days, so we need to make the very best of it before summer really sets in. If you have any suggestions on locations for our rod runs, please let Frances know so she can check on arrangements. Usually this time of year several places of business ask us about doing show n shines for them during the year, and hopefully we can accommodate as many of them that ask us as possible. Don t forget we are still in need of door prizes and trophy and plaque sponsorships for our car show coming up in September. It s better that we get them now than to have to worry about them as time gets closer to the show. Our monthly Rod Run this month will be to Montgomery Bell State Park. I hope all that can will try to make this trip. Leave from Kmart / Wendy's at 1:00pm. Also don t forget that our monthly cruise-in will be held on the 1st Saturday, even it is the fourth of July weekend. Remember those who are sick or are otherwise unable to attend our meetings. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Ed and Kathy Clapp, who have recently lost close loved ones. Also don t forget to hand out our club cards to people who you think may have a desire to join our club. Thanks again for your support you give me as your President, and I promise I will do the very best job I can for the club. Let s all pull together, and make this a big year for the club!
