5 NNYYSL Scholarship Award The Northern New York Youth Soccer League is offering two scholarships, one male and one female, to any club member who will be attending college and meets all of the following requirements: must have a cumulative average of 85 or higher, played in the Northern NY Youth Soccer League for 3 years and has volunteered to help our soccer community grow. The 2018 Scholarship Application will be available at starting on March 1st. Mail completed applications to: Scott Baughn NYS Route 12 Clayton, NY Must be received by May 1, 2018.

6 Referee Course There will be a 16-hour certification course to become a soccer referee. This course will be held at the YMCA Fairgrounds on: February 24, am - 5pm February 25, am - 5pm You must attend the entire course (both days). 8 Reminders Team Registration: Registration fee is $ Payable by check, please include your team name and age group on your check, we are not able to accept credit cards. Coaches Meeting: Sunday April 8 th, pm Team registration fee is due. Verify Coaches /phone number. Provide verification of Risk Management/Coaches Pass. Score Reporting: The Referee s will call in ALL game scores. Coaches will sign roster at end of match to verify score.

10 Further Reminders There will be NO game changes allowed after the final schedule is posted Please take this into consideration when entering your team. The days of play for each division will be provided along with the Saturdays that will be used as your possible game days. Once the final schedule is posted, only the Referee, League or Home Field Sponsor can cancel a game. Only the Referee can cancel or suspend a game because of the weather. Both teams must show up, ready to play. Any game that is not played in its entirety will be reported to the Referee Assignor who will communicate with the League Scheduler.

11 Request a Game Change Part 1 Game changes will only be allowed from 5/1-5/8. Coaches MUST first contact the opposing teams coach to agree on a new date and time. Each team may reschedule up to three (3) games, if necessary. The Coach asking for the change must the League Scheduler, Rich Feistel, at richfeistel@gmail.com. Please use the GAME # in the subject line of the request. Include the new date, time and location with your request. Please, always start a new using the game number in the subject line.

12 Request a Game Change Part 2 The Scheduler will get approval for the game change with the Referee Assignor. Your new date and time is based on availability of the Referees. If approved by the Referee Assignor, the change will be made on the schedule and you will receive a confirmation e- mail. A confirmation is sent automatically to everyone listed on the team application. Any other game changes will be approved by the Game Scheduler, Referee Assignor AND League President [all three of them!!]

14 Referee Fees Referee Fee s: U17/18/19 - Center $68 - AR s $35 U16 - Center $62 - AR s $34 U14 - Center $52 - AR s $32 U12 - Center $42 - AR s $24 Game Cancellations/Forfeits: The team that forfeits pays the full referee fee. Payments must be mailed directly to the assigned referee s. Game Cancellations due to weather/field conditions: Only the referee, league or the home field sponsor may cancel a game. The game must be rescheduled by the coaches within one week. If no date is selected, the League Scheduler will reschedule the game (forced reschedule).
