Hamad Kalkaba Malboum, Chairman; - Gen. Ahmed M. Fouly, Vice-Chairman; - Mr. Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Nassar, I.S.S.F Secretary General; - Mr. Nihat Usta, member; - Mr. Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussein, Chairman of the Marketing Commission; - Mr. Khalid Abdullah Abdulaziz Bin Alshaykh, I.S.S.F Director General; - Mr. Ashraf Sayed Abdel Latif, Head of I.S.S.F Technical Affairs; - Mr. Eric Gottschalk, member of the Marketing Commission, and - Mr. Lanny Kimbowa, Marketing Commission rapporteur. 2 The Meeting was also attended by His Excellency Mr. Azad Rahimov, Minister of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan and CEO of Azerbaijan Islamic Solidarity Games Operations Committee (AISGOC). The final 4 th ISG list of sports, new logo and hosting stadiums have been reviewed. Moreover, the proposals for opening and closing ceremonies, marketing, television broadcasting and social networking programs have been discussed. 4 th ISG Website : Facebook Instagram Twitter : : : I.S.S.F General Secretariat & Marketing Commission Coordination Meeting The Coordination Meeting between the I.S.S.F General Secretariat and the Marketing Commission took place on May 11 th, 2016 in Baku, in the presence of Mr. Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Nassar, the staff of the I.S.S.F General Secretariat, and the Chairman and members of the Marketing Commission, in order to discuss all the points concerning the organization of the th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku. Such points will be discussed with the Azerbaijan Islamic Solidarity Games Operations Committee (AISGOC) to issue its final decision and prepare the General Rules and Regulations, Technical Manuals, and Marketing and Broadcasting Manuals, as well as the Games logo. The Marketing Commission also held a coordination meeting between representatives of the Marketing Commission and Broadcasting officials, to provide a mechanism of action for the coming period and to discuss the AISGOC proposal for the Games logo and advertising design. The I.S.S.F General Secretariat held a meeting with the Protocol Committee for the Games. At such meeting, all matters related to the opening and closing ceremonies have been discussed, as stated in the Islamic Solidarity Games Basic Regulations. 3 4 th Islamic Solidarity Games Countdown! The Azerbaijan Islamic Solidarity Games Operations Committee (AISGOC) organized a ceremony on May 12 th, 2016 to celebrate the countdown to the 4 th Islamic Solidarity Games, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Azad Rahimov, Minister of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan, members of the Supervision and Coordination Commission, the I.S.S.F General Secretariat and representatives of (40) National Olympic Committees (NOCs). 4 Open Day for Islamic National Olympic Committees (NOCs) On May 13 th, 2016, the Azerbaijan Islamic Solidarity Games Operations Committee (AISGOC) organized an open day for the delegates of (40) Islamic Olympic Committees to make any inquiries into the organization and hosting of the Games, in the presence of NOCs representatives and I.S.S.F officials. The AISGOC have answered various questions asked by the NOCs officials. The first releases of Technical Manuals for the sports included in the Games were distributed. 5 I.S.S.F Secretary General welcomes the Turkish Ambassador RIYADH: On May 18 th, 2016, Mr. Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Nassar, I.S.S.F Secretary General welcomed Turkish Ambassador to the Kingdom Yunus Demirer and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest, such as the greater cooperation between the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (I.S.S.F) and the desire of the Republic of Turkey to host the 5 th Islamic solidarity Games in 2021 in Istanbul and to support the I.S.S.F through the participation of the Turkish Republic of Cyprus in the I.S.S.F events and activities. 6 First ISSF Hockey Championships On May 29 th, 2016, Mr. Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Nassar, I.S.S.F Secretary General welcomed Mr. Tayyab Ikram the Head of International Relations for the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF). At the meeting, a proposal for organizing the first Islamic hockey championship, stronger cooperation among the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (I.S.S.F), the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) have been discussed, in order to spread and develop the game in the Islamic countries, whether through organizing sports championships or coaching and referee courses. 7 Preparatory Meeting for Sport Strategy in Muslim Countries By virtue of the resolution of the 2 nd Islamic Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports to mandate the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (I.S.S.F) to prepare a strategy for the advancement of sports in the Islamic countries to be presented at the next meeting which will be held in October 2016 in Turkey, the I.S.S.F General Secretariat in coordination with Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hamid Bilal, Vice Dean for Research & Graduate Studies, Faculty of Physical Education, Alexandria University, held a preparatory meeting and discussed the themes of the strategy during the period of May 4 th 5 th, 2016 at the I.S.S.F headquarter in Riyadh. 8 I.S.S.F Director General meets with the IDB officials A coordination meeting between Mr. Khalid Abdullah Abdulaziz Bin Alshaykh I.S.S.F Director General and Mr. Ahmed al-jabali Director of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Financial Services Department was held at the I.S.S.F headquarters in Riyadh, on May 25 th, 2016 to discuss ways of cooperation between the Islamic solidarity Sports Federation (I.S.S.F) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and to create new sources for funding the I.S.S.F activities and supporting the Islamic solidarity Games. Another I.S.S.F and IDB coordination meeting was held at the IDB headquarters in Jeddah, on May 29 th, 2016, in order to prepare a memorandum of understanding to act accordingly in the coming period.
