Inter Zonal CSJM, Kanpur Dec 31, 2018 Important points for Implementation:- The Sports Board in its AGM held on resolved to introduce submission of Online Entries by the participating universities for participation of their student athletes in National University Games to the host universities under intimation to the AIU for information. The Online Link will be made available on AIU website in due course of time, for all the stakeholders. The Sports Committee, AIU in its Annual General Meeting (Item No.10) held on unanimously resolved that National University Games onwards shall be organized strictly in accordance with Latest Revised Rules and Regulations adopted by respective National Sports Federations approved by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. For this purpose, latest revised Rules and Regulations can be downloaded from the website(s) of the respective National Sports Federation(s) for implementation. Arising out of discussion, it was also agreed in principle in the above meeting, that Host Universities, after completion of Inter University Tournaments, shall ensure to send/provide One Copy of Organizing Secretary s Report(s) and one copy of the Eligibility Details of participating universities, to all the member universities directly, under intimation to the AIU, in accordance with the existing relevant clause No.VI.4.(a) in a prescribed proforma given at Appendix-C as mentioned in Handbook of Rules and Regulations for Inter University Tournaments for speedy communication with a view to save time, money and resources etc. Further, committee members were of the collective opinion that Videography of matches/contests may be arranged/provided during National/Zonal University Games: from the quarter final stage onwards, with a view to maintain absolute transparency during the conduct of all the competitions, so as to enable talented athletes/sportspersons to emerge as True Champions, for promotion of competitive sports in universities and colleges with a professional and scientific approach in the country. The dates of zonal tournaments should be finalized/fixed in close coordination with the dates of Inter Zonal tournaments as decided by the host universities, so as to avoid long gap between Zonals and Inter Zonals. ************************ 11
