This is the sixth time in seven games Dallas has not allowed a 100-yard rusher DALLAS COWBOYS POSTGAME NOTES AT WASHINGTON (10/21) - INDIVIDUAL: Cole Beasley - WR * Cole Beasley led the team with seven receptions for 56 yards. * Beasley s seven receptions gave him 287 for his career to pass Frank Clarke (281) for 13th on the team s all-time receptions list. Ezekiel Elliott - RB * Ezekiel Elliott rushed 15 times for 34 yards and caught two passes for nine yards. * Elliott had 43 total scrimmage yards (34 rush; nine receiving) to become the 20th player in franchise history to reach 4,000 career scrimmage yards (4,032). Michael Gallup - WR * Michael Gallup caught three passes for a team-high 81 yards - both season-highs - and one touchdown. * Gallup s career-long 49-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter to tie the game at 7-7. It was the longest reception for a score by a Cowboys rookie since Ezekiel Elliott caught an 83-yard touchdown at Pittsburgh (11/13/16). It was the longest by a Cowboys rookie wide receiver since Terrance Williams hauled in an 82-yard score against Denver (10/6/13). Allen Hurns - WR * Allen Hurns posted season-bests in receptions (five) and receiving yards (74) both good for second on the team. * Hurns five receptions allowed him to reach 200 for his career (202). David Irving - DL * David Irving recorded his first sack of the season and now has 12.5 in his career. Jourdan Lewis - CB * Jourdan Lewis notched his first career rush for seven yards in the fourth quarter. Brett Maher - K * With one field goal against the Redskins, Maher has now posted the third-most field goals through a player s first seven career games as a Cowboy (FIELD GOALS FOR FOUR - page 16). Dak Prescott - QB * Dak Prescott completed 22 passes on 35 attempts for a season-high 273 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. * Prescott was second on the team in rushing with six carries for 33 yards and a touchdown. * His rushing touchdown marked his second consecutive game with a score third such streak of his career. 5

6 JASON GARRETT Head Coach AWARDS & HONORS 2016 NFL Coach of the Year Pro Football Weekly s 2007 NFL Assistant Coach of the Year 2 NFC East Division Titles Different players selected to the Pro Bowl since 2010 for 20 a total of 44 appearances. JASON GARRETT (70-57, 8th Year) Jason Garrett was named the eighth head coach in Dallas Cowboys history on January 5, Garrett became the first former Dallas Cowboys player to become the team s head coach. As a backup quarterback during his playing career in Dallas, he started nine-of-23 games played and was a member of teams that won six division titles and three Super Bowl championships. Garrett was elevated to the Cowboys top job after taking over as the team s interim head coach midway through He guided the club to a 5-3 mark to finish the season after the team started 1-7. He led Dallas to an 8-8 record, narrowly missing the playoffs and an NFC East Division title in each his first three full seasons as head coach ( ). Garrett guided the 2014 squad to an NFL-best tying 12-4 record, the club s 22nd Division title - 18th NFC East title - 31st postseason appearance and 34th playoff win. His team fought through adversity in 2015, especially on the injury front where they endured injuries to Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and Orlando Scandrick amongst others, while slipping to 4-12 on the season. The team bounced back under Garrett in 2016, completing the club s largest one-season turnaround in franchise history with a nine-game difference, finishing with a 13-3 record in The record included beginning the season 0-1 and going on to win 11 straight games - the longest single-season win streak in team history. Garrett s Cowboys won their second division championship with him at the helm, while earning the NFC s top overall seed and hosting an NFC Divisional Playoff Game for the first time since He was named AP Coach of the Year for his team s 2016 accomplishments. The 2017 Cowboys finished 9-7, just missing the playoffs, but their record gave them back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since From , when Garrett was brought on board as the Cowboys offensive coordinator, the unit finished among the NFL s top-10 in total offense in five of his seven years at the helm: 2013 (10th), 2012 (6th), 2010 (10th), 2009 (2nd) and 2007 (2nd). The team has set single-season records in a handful of categories, including topping 6,000 net yards for the first four times in franchise history (2009-6,390; ,008; ,138 and ,027). Since his arrival in 2007, not only has the team set single-season records in numerous offensive categories, but the club s cumulative numbers for gross passing yards (39,993) and total points (3,919) represent the best totals over a 10-year span in the history of the organization while the club s 58,567 total net yards are second. MIKE VRABEL (3-4, 1st Year) The Tennessee Titans named Mike Vrabel the 19th head coach in franchise history before the 2018 season. Vrabel has 18 years of NFL experience with four as an NFL coach and 14 as a player. His distinguished playing career included three Super Bowl wins (2001, 2003 and 2004), one Pro Bowl selection (2007) and an All-Pro honor (2007). Additionally, his teams advanced to the playoffs eight times (20 postseason games), with Vrabel recording eight postseason sacks and two postseason touchdown receptions. Vrabel joined the Titans after four seasons with the Houston Texans, spending the first three seasons ( ) coaching linebackers and one year (2017) as the team s defensive coordinator. During his time in Houston, the Texans built one of the best defenses in the NFL and experienced tremendous success as a team - earning two division titles (2015, 2016). Between the Texans defense ranked third in the NFL in yards allowed-per-game (319.9) and net passing yards (218.4). The 2016 defense ranked first in the NFL for the first time in franchise history in yards allowed (301.3). Prior to joining the NFL coaching ranks, Vrabel transitioned immediately from an NFL player to college coach. He started as the linebacker coach at Ohio State in 2011 and coached the defensive line from The 2012 Buckeyes finished the season undefeated at He also was named Big Ten Recruiter of the Year by ESPN.com in Vrabel was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round (91st overall) of the 1997 NFL Draft after his playing career at Ohio State where he earned All-America honors and Big Ten Conference Defensive Lineman of the Year in both 1995 and 1996.
