In total, it is only the second time in team history the team has rushed for four touchdowns in either the first or second half as it was also done in the first half on 12/1/63 vs. N.Y. Giants (page 21). * The Cowboys offense also tallied nine rushing first downs in the first half to tie the most in team history in a first half (page 21) DALLAS COWBOYS MOST RECENT NOTES - INDIVIDUAL: Lance Dunbar - RB * Lance Dunbar led the team with a career-high 10 catches for a career-high 100 receiving yards against Atlanta (9/27). He became the 14th running back in team history to post 100 receiving yards - the 14th-highest team total all-time at the position - and it was the first time since Marion Barber had 128 at Arizona (10/12/08) (page 22). * Through the first three games of the 2015 NFL season, Dallas Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar leads the offense with 215 receiving yards and is tied for the team lead with 21 receptions. It is only the third time in team history that a running back has led or tied for the lead in receiving yards after the first three games of a season (page 22). * Dunbar leads all NFL running backs in receptions and receiving yards early in 2015 (page 22). Sean Lee - LB * Sean Lee had a team-high 11 tackles against Atlanta (9/27) to surpass 400 tackles (410) for his career while also notching his first career sack (page 24). Joseph Randle - RB * Joseph Randle amassed 91 rushing yards in the first quarter against Atlanta (9/27) to tie the third-most yards in team history in the first quarter since 1991 (page 22). * Randle had three touchdowns against Atlanta (9/27) to mark the first multi-touchdown game of his career, and the first time a Cowboys player has had three rushing touchdowns since DeMarco Murray had three against Oakland (11/28/13). He also became the 10th player in team history to score three touchdowns in a game, the 19th time overall that has happened (page 22). * Randle s three scores came in the first half to mark the third player in team history to total three rushing touchdowns in a first half in team history, joining Don Perkins (vs. N.Y. Giants, 12/1/63) and Ron Springs (vs. St. Louis, 9/13/81) (page 22). * Randle s three rushing touchdowns in the first half marked the first time this has happened in the NFL since Russell Wilson had three at Buffalo (12/16/12) (page 22). * Randle had five rushing first downs in the first quarter, the second-most rushing first downs in a first quarter in team history, since 1991 (page 22). Brandon Weeden - QB * Brandon Weeden was perfect on each of his first nine passes against Atlanta (9/27) before his 10th attempt was intercepted to establish a team record with 21 consecutive completions, surpassing Tony Romo s previous record of 17. His streak began against Arizona (11/9/14). He finished the game 22-of-26 (84.6 the highest completion percentage of his career with a minimum of 10 attempts) for 232 yards with no touchdowns and one interception for an 87.8 quarterback rating (page 13). 2

JASON GARRETT (44-33, 5th Year) Jason Garrett was named the eighth head coach in Dallas Cowboys history on January 5, Garrett became the first former Dallas Cowboys player to become the team s head coach. As a backup quarterback during his playing career in Dallas, he started nine-of-23 games played and was a member of teams that won six division titles and three Super Bowl championships. Garrett guided the 2014 squad to an NFLbest tying 12-4 record, the club s 22nd Division title - 18th NFC East title - 31st postseason appearance and 34th playoff win. Along the way, the team had three players lead the league and establish single-season club records as DeMarco Murray rushed for 1,845 yards, Dez Bryant caught 16 touchdown passes and Tony Romo completed 69.9% of his passes and had a quarterback rating. The Dallas offense as a whole was second in the league in rushing yards (2,354), it s highest finish since placing second in For the season, the Dallas offense totaled 6,138 yards for the second-highest figure in franchise history. The club also had eight players selected to the Pro Bowl, and following the season, Garrett was rewarded for the team s accomplishments with a five-year contract extension. Garrett was elevated to the Cowboys top job after taking over as the team s interim head coach midway through He guided the club to a 5-3 mark to finish the season after the team started 1-7. He led Dallas to an 8-8 record, narrowly missing the playoffs and an NFC East Division title in each his first three full seasons as head coach ( ). He also secured his first NFC East Division title as the head coach. Against the N.Y. W/L Score L 6-27 W L W L 7-20 L L DALLAS LAST GAME The Dallas Cowboys came rushing out of the gates on Sunday, revitalizing a rushing attack that had been sluggish in the first two weeks of 2015 by rushing for 131 yards in the first half, the ninth-most first half rushing yards in team history. Joseph Randle led the way for the offense, exploding through cratering holes in the Atlanta defensive line on the first drive to the tune of 65 yards on only two carries, finishing with a 37-yard touchdown gallop where he broke multiple tackles. Randle found pay dirt again on the Cowboys next drive, capping off an eight-play, 77-yard drive with a one-yard burst into the endzone. Randle finished with 91 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter alone. The 91 rushing yards tied for the third-most in the first quarter in team history since The Falcons answered with a touchdown rush of their own by Devonta Freeman on the ensuing drive, but after punts by both teams, Dallas capped another impressive drive with a Darren McFadden two-yard plunge into the endzone. Earlier in the drive, Brandon Weeden completed his ninth straight pass to start the game, continuing a streak of 21 consecutive completions dating back to The 21 straight completions marked a Cowboys franchise record. Atlanta capitalized on a Dallas turnover and garnered another Freeman rushing score as a result. After Dallas added Randle s third rushing touchdown of the first half, again from one-yard out, Atlanta drove 66 yards in six plays to end a wild first half with a field goal, making the halftime score For all of the Cowboys offensive prowess in the first half, they were not able to get the ground game rolling in the second half, losing four yards across the two periods. Atlanta turned the tables and utilized the ground game against the Dallas defense, and scored 22 unanswered points while eating 20:07 off the game clock and keeping the ball away from the Cowboys offense. Matt Ryan threw two touchdown passes to Julio Jones and DeVonta Freeman scored the go-ahead touchdown on a seven-yard run in the fourth quarter. NEW ORLEANS LAST GAME The New Orleans Saints fell to 0-3 on the season following a road loss to the Carolina Panthers. New Orleans took the first lead of the game with a 31-yard Zach Hocker field goal in the first quarter. The Saints followed that up with a five-yard Mark Ingram rushing touchdown in the second quarter that increased their lead to However, Carolina tied the game at after two scores in the second quarter that included a Greg Olsen 11- yard touchdown catch from Cam Newton and a Graham Gano 20-yard field goal. New Orleans re-took the lead in the third quarter on a 74-yard punt return touchdown by Marcus Murphy (kick aborted). The Panthers responded with 17 unanswered points that included another Newton-to-Olsen touchdown connection (11 yards), and a Gano 47-yard field goal in the third quarter and a Newton 13-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter that put them ahead The Saints attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter as Khiry Robinson plunged in the endzone for a two-yard rushing score (pass failed) that cut the lead to 27-22, but Carolina was able to hold on for the victory. 4

6 ROAD PERFECTION The Cowboys finished the 2014 regular season with an undefeated 8-0 record on the road - the only squad with a perfect mark away from home in the NFL. The Cowboys eight road wins were the most in team history during the regular season since the NFL began a 16-game schedule.
