7 Boothe Named to Wooden Watch List Senior All-American candidate Tara Boothe has been selected to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Watch List, as announced on February 2 by the Los Angeles Athletic Club. Comprised of the top 20 players who are expected to contend for this year s Player of the Year Award, the Midseason list is based on individual player performance and team records through the first half of the season. A Couple of Streaks Staying Alive Xavier has not lost conecutive home games since it dropped a decision to No. 22 Maryland on December 4, 2004; a span of 27 home games. In fact, that loss to Maryland marked the last time Xavier had lost consecutive games regardless of the setting. Xavier has not lost consecutive games in a span of 56 games. No Fun on Sunday The Musketeers have struggled when playing games on Sunday this season. XU is just 3-5 this year when playing on Sunday and 3-4 in A-10 Sunday games. Double-Digit Conference Wins With its win vs. Saint Joe s on 2/24, Xavier secured a first-round bye in the 2006 Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament and also won its 10th conference game of the season. It also marked the seventh time ever that XU has won at least 10 conference games. Xavier went 11-5 in the Midwestern Collegiate Conference during the season, marking the only other time XU has won at least 10 games in a conference season. 20 Win Notes Xavier won its 20th game of the season on February 26 vs. Dayton. The win marked the ninth 20-win season in the history of the program. It also marked XU s second consecutive 20-win season and the Musketeers sixth 20-win season in the last eight years. Xavier posted 20 regular season wins for the first time since the season. That team registered 25 wins during the regular season.
