The Newman crew did a superlative job running the shoot. Your volunteer office staff was down three individuals but I'll bet none of you noticed it because of how well they covered the voids, and THANKS to Dave Fleming for always being willing to help out. Great job Newman team and SBTL office crew! SBTL welcomes our two new shooters for the month Shane Azevedo and Michael Marino. Good luck guys! This has been an interesting year windy conditions for most of our shoots lowered the overall scores. For our 8 shoots, we had 8 different HOA winners that s a lot of diversity. And throughout the season we had 40 new-to SBTL shooters (not including September)! Let s make sure they keep coming back so we can grow our sport. Our October shoot is THE GRAND!!! All the awards for the day are sterling silver buckles! The top 20 shooters from the All Star list (plus alternates where necessary to fill in at least 20 All Star shooters) compete only among themselves for 8 awards. The remaining shooters compete for 18 of these great buckles. And if that is not enough incentive, we are adding $2,000 in the First Ever Fazzio/Morimoto added money Handicap event - $500 per handicap group, paid out 40/30/20/10 Percentage System (e.g. ties divide). If you re one of the top 4 scores in your handicap group, you ll win some money! Like many of our predecessors, we have donated our time over the past three years to keep the league going. If you ve shot in at least 4 shoots this year, you re eligible. So come and win your share! Your handicap score from the GRAND can also determine the handicap year-end winners so come and shoot your best. This newsletter shows the potential final handicap year-end winners by yardage group. And because our SBTL rules allow a shooter to only win one year-end award, the final handicap winners have a trickle-down effect on the final Doubles and Singles year end winners. Plan to stay for dinner and find out the year-end winners!!! A couple of reminders: - The GRAND is 200 targets; 50 singles, 100 handicap, 50 doubles bring enough shells! - Please take advantage of our pre-squad absence reporting. It helps us fill the squads, and we don t have delays looking for shooters. - Safety: eye and ear protection while shooting are mandatory at all clubs! - We re looking for a squadder / squad sheet volunteer to help out next year. If you don t mind arriving early for each shoot, come and join our office staff. C U all in Sunnyvale on October 9th we will also have the drawing for the carved wooden duck decoy that Dan Buchheit so graciously donated to the League! (see insert on page 3) Dennis and Warren Come enjoy the Awards Dinner after the shoot! ozs of Hand-Cut Prime Rib, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Corn-on-the-Cob, Salad and Apple Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. BYO drinks. Soft drinks will be available. Price is $15.00 per person. Pay the cashier when you sign up. Handicap Purses High Overall High Lady & Junior High Veteran High Sr. Veteran $ Value Perpetual Purse $ To win, the participant needs to shoot a 25 straight from any trap. In the event of a tie, the payoff is divided among the total number of 25 s that are posted. This purse is open to all shooters. Perfect 50 s $ To win, the participant needs to shoot 50 straight at Handicap. Seventy-five percent (75%) of the purse, including the fees from that shoot, will be divided between the Perfect 50 s participating at that shoot. To play this purse, a shooter is required to have shot at least three (3) previous South Bay Trap League meets between the current and previous years.

SBTL and ATA rules require that corrections be clearly labeled with the word 'DEAD', otherwise they are to be scored as a lost target.
