1 ATTENTION: Tennis Coaches Advancing to State Finals Congratulations for advancing to the Tennis State Finals! Please carefully read all the information below: ADMISSION: Players in uniform and listed on the team s Official Playoff Roster will be admitted free. Coaches will be admitted with their GHSA Coach s Passes. All others will be charged $5.00, except for babes in arms. Team tents and refreshments will be allowed. Food also will be available for purchase on the grounds. Parking is free. Gates will not open until 8:30 a.m., for ticket sales! REPORT TIMES: ALL Girls teams must check in at the tournament desk inside the pro shop between 8:30-9:00 a.m. Play should begin in all Girls matches at 10:00 a.m. ALL Boys teams must check in at the tournament desk inside the pro shop between 12:30-1:00 p.m. Play should begin in all Boys matches at 2:00 p.m. WARMUP: Teams may warm up on their assigned courts prior to the time for the match to begin. The coaches should divide up their five assigned courts, with each team taking two (2) courts and leaving one of the five open (unless you want to flip a coin for use of that third court). NOTE: Courts 28, 29, 36, 37, 44, 45 & 46 will NOT be used for competition and are available for warm-up at any time on a first-come basis. NO BOYS TEAMS are to warm up on ANY courts until after 12:30 p.m. And please NEVER warm up on a court next to an ongoing match! COACHING: A coach may talk to a player as they change ends of the court, but the players must stay on the court. Coaching must not hold up play. Under NO circumstances may coaching be given by a person not employed by the school. Violations will be penalized under the USTA Point Penalty System. POINT PENALTY SYSTEM: GHSA team matches are played using the USTA Point Penalty System, which consists of the following: First Offense - Loss of Point; Second Offense - Loss of Game; Third Offense - Default. Also be aware that a single flagrant unsportsmanlike act may be penalized by defaulting the player immediately! ROVING OFFICIALS: We will utilize Roving Officials, whose authority includes, but is not limited to, overruling line calls and calling foot faults when in direct observation of the court, resolving scoring disputes, interpreting USTA rules and controlling spectators. RAIN OUTS: We will attempt to play as many matches as possible even if we face bad weather. Any matches rained out will revert to the highest-seeded team's home courts on Monday or Tuesday (if teams are same seeds, the universal coin toss used for the quarters and semis will control). BUSES: If you are coming in a full size bus, please drop off your players at the indicated Player Drop Off area shown on the attached map and then park your bus in the Extra Parking Lot on the hill.
