1 denver broncos 2006 weekly press release Game #5 (3-1) vs. Oakland (0-4) Sunday, Oct. 15, :15 p.m. MDT INVESCO Field at Mile High (76,125), Colorado BRONCOS RENEW RIVALRY WITH RAIDERS; PLAY THIRD CONSECUTIVE PRIME-TIME GAME The Broncos (3-1) meet the Oakland Raiders (0-4) for the 92nd time in the regular season this week at INVESCO Field at Mile High in a contest televised nationally on NBC s Sunday Night Football. The Broncos will be playing their third consecutive prime-time game, marking the first time since 1962 that the club has played three night games in a row during the regular season. is coming off a 13-3 home win on Oct. 9 against the previously unbeaten Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. The Broncos defense totaled three interceptions against the Ravens, helping the club join the 2000 Miami Dolphins as the only two teams in the NFL since 1940 to allow only one touchdown through their first four regular-season games. The Broncos have had recent success in the game immediately following a MNF appearance, posting a 9-1 (.900) record in those games since 2000 for the highest winning percentage in the NFL among teams with at least five MNF appearances. looks to improve that record against the Raiders, who last week led San Francisco 13-7 at halftime before the 49ers rallied for a victory. The Broncos are 17-5 (.773) against the Raiders under Head Coach Mike Shanahan (1995-Pres.) and last year posted wins in both games against Oakland. enters Sunday s game on a 12-game home winning streak in the regular season that ties with Seattle for the longest current such streak in the NFL. The Broncos own the NFL s second-best home regular-season record (33-9) since moving into INVESCO Field at Mile High in 2001 and also have posted the league s best home record in divisional play (15-2) during that time.
