1 2018 BUSHCRAFT CROSSFIT CUP AWARDS HERE IS A LIST OF THIS YEAR'S AWARDS! TEAM AWARDS: "The Record Breaker" Athlete from each team who sets the most PRs over the course of the season, whether it be in class or during the WOD. You must keep track of your PRs (date and PR details) and turn them in to your team captain at the end of the competition. "The Most Valuable Athlete" Athlete from each team who contributes the most points for his/her team "The Spirit of the Cup" Athlete from each team who embodies the most camaraderie, sportsmanship, and passion of the competition (voted from within each team) OVERALL BCCC AWARDS: "Top Male Athlete" Highest placing throughout WODs o Higher place = lower score o Total lowest score wins Male athlete determined to be the fittest as by the CrossFit Open movement standards & WODs. "Top Female Athlete" Highest placing throughout WODs o Higher place = lower score o Total lowest score wins Female athlete determined to be the fittest as by the CrossFit Open movement standards & WODs. "The BCCC" Team Award To the team who, by the end of the competition (March 25th) scores the most points (Team WOD, Attendance, and Bonus Points)

2 HOW TO EARN POINTS FOR YOUR TEAM: 2018 BUSHCRAFT CROSSFIT CUP SCORING THE POINT SYSTEM: Please understand that we took responses from last year's surveys and spent a good deal of time determining the structure of this year's point system. Every year we'll continue to refine it so that we have the most COMPETITIVE, FUN, INCLUSIVE, and MOTIVATING point system possible. Before commenting with questions, please wait as I will follow up with a list of FAQs we have already addressed. Thanks everyone! ATTENDANCE POINTS: 2pts - for attending that class (limit one class per day). NOTE: You may only score up to 6pts max/week. This would be 3 classes from Monday-Saturday (yes Saturday may count) of each competition week. If you are not doing the WOD on Saturday, but still need your 3 rd class, then you may receive points for Saturday class on two conditions: 1. You stay for at least an hour AND 2. You sign-in and sign-out with your captain. TEAM WOD POINTS FOR EACH WEEK: Each team will take their top 13 places and add them up. The teams will then be ranked 1, 2 and 3 based upon the lowest total. 3 FITTEST MALE/FEMALE POINTS: Placing will be similar to CrossFit placing: RX WOD scores then Scaled WOD scores then Scaled Modified scores. If you registered for RX division, then you must complete all WODs by RX standards UNLESS it is deemed unsafe by all coaches. If you registered for Scaled division (all remaining athletes), then you may complete the WODs by Scaled standards or Scaled Modified standards, HOWEVER you may complete ONE WOD in the RX division should you choose. Each athlete will receive a WOD place at the end of each week. At the end of five weeks, we will add up all places. The athlete with the lowest overall total wins Fittest Male/Female Athlete. EXAMPLE: Athlete Overall Total Sally Susie Dale Diane Lilly Sam Rachel Overall Fittest Female Athlete 1 st - Sally with 14 2 nd - Dale with 15 3 rd - Susie with 18 BONUS POINTS: 5pts - Denver A List Vote for 2018's Best Gym! NOTE: Once you've voted, take a screen shot and send it to your Team Captain. At the end of each competition week, we will post the point standings for each team (Tuesdays)!

4 2018 BUSHCRAFT CROSSFIT CUP SCORING FAQs GENERAL QUESTION Q: Just give it to me how can I score points for my team? A: Here are ways you can score points for your team - Attendance Points: 2pts/class (one class/day) with 6pts/week max - Team WOD Points: Team WOD Points are distributed each week based upon overall performance of team - Bonus Points: Ways to earn additional points will be explained when bonus challenges are announced ATTENDANCE QUESTIONS: The following questions deal with attendance points for each week. Q: Can you further explain how I may collect attendance points? A: If you have an unlimited membership, then simply show up and work out. You earn 2 points per class and may score a max of 6pts per week. While we would really appreciate you RSVP-ing before you arrive and checking-in once you do arrive, you do not need to do either task to score points. Q: What if I do the WOD ( ) on Friday and I ve only scored 4 out of 6 of my attendance points can I show up on Saturday and have it count for attendance points? If you do the WOD ( ) on Friday, you can still score attendance points by showing up on the Saturday of that week to cheer on your team. HOWEVER, to receive attendance points, you must stay at least an hour and sign-in/signout with your team captain. Q: What if I m out of town or cannot make it into the gym due to a crazy work schedule? May I still score attendance points? A: Yes! If you are out of town, then you may choose from the following three workouts. If you have a crazy work schedule, then you ll need approval from all three coaches to choose one of the following three workouts: WOD A: 10-min AMRAP WOD B: 10-min AMRAP WOD C: 10-min AMRAP - 10 Air Squats - 10 Push-Ups - 10 Sit-Ups - 10 Push-Ups - 10 Sit-Ups - 10 Air Squats NOTE: For you to receive points, you must: 1. Submit your results 2. Submit post-wod photo Q: What if I am not a member, 8-class per month member, punch-card member or a personal training client, may I still score attendance points? A: Yes! If you fall into one of these categories, then you may choose from the following three workouts: WOD A: 10-min AMRAP WOD B: 10-min AMRAP WOD C: 10-min AMRAP - 10 Air Squats - 10 Push-Ups - 10 Sit-Ups - 10 Push Sit-Ups - 10 Air Squats NOTE: For you to receive points, you must: 1. 5 Q: When may I start earning attendance points? A: Attendance begins on Monday, Feb. 19th and ends on Saturday, Mar. 24th WEEKLY WOD QUESTIONS The following questions deal with the actual WOD ( ) announced for each week. Q: When may I do the WOD? What days? A: You may complete the WOD during any class on Friday, Saturday, or Monday following the Thursday WOD announcement. Q: What if I m out of town and am unable to be at the training center? A: If you are unable to make it on Friday or Saturday, you may complete the WOD during any class on Monday except for 18.5 (which must be completed by Mar. 24 th ). You do not need to secure a judge, but you do need to let your captain know that you ll be in that Monday to do it. If you are unable to make it on Friday, Saturday, or Monday, then you ll have two options: 1. Do it at a CrossFit facility near your location (or anywhere that gives you access to the equipment necessary) and have a video of the complete WOD (if you are modified you do not need a video). There are specifications as to what the video must entail so be sure to understand the requirements. Again, you ll need to let your captain know (he ll make sure you re prepared). 2. Enjoy your vacation and don t worry about sending in a WOD score. Your team will be okay (unless you re on Team Blackbeard, then you better get yo WOD in). THIS PROCESS DOES NOT INCLUDE RETESTS. SEE BELOW FOR RETEST INFORMATION. Q: What are the requirements for my video to be official? A: CrossFit Open will post the video requirement necessary for your WOD to count for a score. Your captain will provide you with that link on the Facebook page. Q: How many times may I do the WOD? May I retest? A: Although not recommended, you may do the WOD as many times as your heart desires (or will withstand). HOWEVER, KEEP IN MIND THE FOLLOWING: 1. You may only retest on Mondays during the following classes: 5:30am, 12pm, and 6pm classes. 2. If you decide to retest during the listed Monday classes, you must secure your own official judge. 3. While you may retest each week, you may only submit ONE RETEST SCORE toward your BCCC team and BCCC individual point total. 4. If you retest, you have until 7:30pm of the Monday after the WOD to confirm that you would like to replace your retest score with your original. Q: Are our captains allowed to score points for our team? A: Not for the WODs, but they can score for attendance and bonus points throughout the competition.

6 Q: If you are in a Master s division where the Rx workout is different from the regular division - would your score be applicable if you did the masters Rx? A: Yes. RX (no matter the category) will be scored all the same. The divisions are supposed to be equal in difficulty within each division (RX or Games Scaled) no matter the competition category (teens, open, masters, etc.). So for the BCCC, all RX WOD Scores (teen, open, masters) will score above all Scaled WOD scores and Scaled Modified WOD scores (teen, open, masters) respectively. Q: Am I eligible to judge the WODs during the competition? A: Only if you have been approved by captains to judge OR have completed the judges CrossFit Open course in the past BONUS POINT QUESTIONS The following questions deal with the Bonus Point opportunities for each week. Q: Will there be any other bonus points offered during the competition? A: Maybe! If there are, you will find out from your captain don t worry J AWARD QUESTIONS: The following questions deal with the awards and how to win each. Q: How may I win the team awards (Spirit of the Cup, Record Breaker, & Most Valuable Player)? A: Ask your team captain for details on these awards. Q: How do I win the Fittest Male or Female Athlete Award? A: The athlete with the lowest score from the WODs wins (like CrossFit Open Rankings). See scoring sheet for more questions. Q: How do I help my team win the BushCraft CrossFit Cup? A: Perform well in the WOD. Show up and workout to collect max attendance points. And perform all the extra challenges for bonus points. The team with the most total points at the end of the competition, wins! We hope this helps!!
