3 Eligibility Who can enter the AP&ES Games? Eligible agencies include Police and Law Enforcement Agencies and Emergency Service Agencies (Including Volunteers and Retirees). Eligibility to participate in the AP&ES Games is at the discretion of the Australia & New Zealand Police Games Federation (ANZPGF). Other Emergency Service agencies can make an application to the ANZPGF Eligibility Sub-Committee for consideration. The ANZPGF reserves the right to refuse entries from any individual or agency. Eligible competitors are either full time or part time employees (sworn and unsworn), registered volunteers or retired personnel from eligible agencies from Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands. Competitors must be 18 years or over at the time of the Games. For a list of eligible agencies: View the Eligibility Policy: Are public servants and volunteers allowed to compete? Yes, as long they belong to an eligible agency. Volunteers of eligible agencies must have at least 12 months of service. 4 Event Details What are the dates for the CrossFit events? The current scheduled dates for the CrossFit events: Monday 29 th October 2018 Individual Tuesday 30 th October 2018 Pairs Due to low registrations, the team event has been removed. What are the times for the CrossFit events? The schedule will be released closer towards the opening. Once this has been confirmed the AP&ES website and CrossFit event Facebook page will be updated. Athletes should be prepared for a full day of competition in each category they register in. Where will the event be held? Mandurah Eastern Foreshore (Outdoor event) Map will be provided via the CrossFit event Facebook page once layout area has been confirmed. How early can I check-in for the events? CrossFit event at this stage check-in time is 8:00am but may change depending on number of registrations. Details will be updated on the CrossFit event Facebook closer to the events. You will also be required to check-in at the main hub (MAR-Quay) to collect your accredited passes and Games Pack. Please check the main website for updated information. 5 Categories and Divisions What categories are on offer? Individual (male and female) Pairs (male, female and mixed) Due to low registrations, the team event has been removed. What category should I register for? Scaled or RXD? In 2018 we will introduce a scaled division. The WODs will be finalised around October. As a guide we suggest that: RXD - If you can complete all WODs within the opens (CrossFit games), complete in RX WODs at your box and other CrossFit competitions Scaled - If you have to scale some of the WODs in the opens (CrossFit games), at your box or other CrossFit competitions What are the age divisions for the events? At this stage there is: Open 40+ (Masters) individual comp only To enter into the masters division, you will need to be 40 years old at the time of your registered event/s. 6 Registration What are the CrossFit event fees? $60 per person / per competition I.e. if you were to enter the individual, pairs and team competitions, it would cost $180. What are the fees for non-playing managers and official supporters? A Registration fee of $40.00 applies to all Non Playing Managers and Official Supporters. Is there a fee for spectators? Spectators can attend events for free. Creation of team - Pair event If for some reason you are unable to find other people to enter into the pair event, there will be an option during your registration. Enter the event and select I m not part of a team the Games Management Team or the CrossFit Sports Co-Ordinators will find you a team later down the track. 7 WODs How many WODs will there be? Depending on the number of registrations, athletes can expect 3-4 WODs per competition. What are the WODs? The WODs will be finalised around October.
