1 Southern Tier Southern Tier USBC (86266) 213 N Jensen Rd Vestal, NY Phone/Fax: (607) BOWLING@STNYUSBC.COM Web: February 2018 To all Officers, Directors and Hall of Fame members of the Southern Tier USBC: The purpose of the Southern Tier USBC Hall of Fame, hereafter referred to as the Hall of Fame, is to honor members of the Southern Tier USBC, who, by their talents, whether executive, organizational or scoring ability, have aided in the further promotion of the sport of bowling within the Southern Tier USBC. The Southern Tier USBC s Board of Directors, hereafter referred to as the Board, governs the Hall of Fame. Induction into the Hall of Fame is in one of four of the following categories: Superior Performance, Meritorious Service, Senior Star or Special Merit. The eligibility criteria specific to each of these categories is defined in the Hall of Fame procedure. A minimum of six inductees will be elected each year into the Hall of Fame, one male and one female from each category of Superior Performance, Meritorious Service and Senior Star. If an insufficient number of candidate applications are on file for any of the named categories, then no inductee will be elected from the relevant category. The Board holds the final say as to the slate of inductees presented for election into the Hall of Fame at the recommendation of the Nomination committee. One inductee may be elected from the Special Merit category only when the Board recommends the candidate and said election is done by the Board only, as stated in the Structure and Eligibility sections of the Hall of Fame procedure. At a meeting held by the Hall of Fame Nomination Committee, a list of candidates for induction into the Hall of Fame for was established to be presented for consideration at the annual Hall of Fame election meeting. The list of candidates is provided below. Resume summaries are enclosed for your review. A breakfast buffet will precede the meeting at 9:00 AM. Being a member of the Board of the Southern Tier USBC, or a member of the Southern Tier USBC Hall of Fame, you are hereby cordially invited to attend this

2 meeting. It is very important that everyone invited make an effort to be present at this meeting in order to elect new inductees to your Hall of Fame. Please RSVP by phone at , or at if you will be attending the Hall of Fame Breakfast and Election meeting. If you are unable to attend, please fill out the enclosed proxy ballot, sign it, seal it in an envelope marked "PROXY" on the outside and mail to: Southern Tier USBC, 213 N Jensen Rd, Vestal, NY, Proxy ballots must be received by Saturday, March 17, 2018 to be considered eligible. Any proxy ballots received on the day of the meeting will not be considered eligible for vote count. Again, please be sure to mark "PROXY" on the outside of the envelope prior to mailing it. The 10 th Annual Hall Of Fame and Awards Banquet is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Owego Treadway Banquet & Conference Center in Owego, New York. Full details for the banquet will be provided in a separate mailing to be sent after the Hall of Fame Breakfast and Election meeting has been held. However, please note, the association can no longer afford to pay for the dinner cost of all current Hall of Fame members that attend. The full individual dinner cost will now be the responsibility of each current Hall of Member who wishes to attend the banquet, including the dinner cost for any guests they bring.
