June 23 rd The Board would like to thank the Activities Committee of Chris Blumke, Tara del Rossi, Cindy Jones, Lyn Shaw and Ruth Wentzel for organizing the Cinco de Mayo party at the Divide Ranch clubhouse which was held on May 19th. The party was a huge success and was enjoyed by 68 attendees. If you missed out, don t worry because coming up on June 23 rd is the next community get-together at the Clubhouse. A Western Theme Party with full BBQ buffet and line dancing instruction on June 23 rd from 4:00 7:30 PM, Tickets are $20 per person, and include: BBQ brisket and ribs (DRC has arranged with an outside caterer) salads, corn on the cob, beans, taxes, waitstaff gratuities, AND Country Western LINE DANCING!! For more information, contact Ruth Wentzel at bigdogox@gmail.com Summer Member Meeting Scheduled for July 24 The 2018 Summer Member Meeting will be held on July 24 at the Log Hill Fire Department Building, 434 Ponderosa Drive beginning at 6:15 PM. Further details on the agenda will be provided as the date draws nearer.

2 Voting Results From the May 8 th Special Member Meeting Not everyone voted and not everyone voted on each item, vote totals: 1. Ballot Item A: I (we) vote to propose to the entire membership an amendment to the CCR&Es to define the Golf Club amenities to be provided by Divide Golf (for both golfers and non-golfers) in return for payment of mandatory Founders dues. 65 yes / 35 no / 100 total / overall vote = yes 2. Ballot Item B: I (we) vote to call for a vote of the entire membership to amend the Bylaws to limit the power of the President, or the Board, to appoint advisors or advisory committees and sub-committees 21 yes / 81 no / 102 total / overall vote = no 3.Ballot Item C: I (we) vote to call for a vote of the entire membership to amend the Bylaws to increase the size of the Board to 5 members. 46 yes / 59 no / 105 total / overall vote = no 4. Ballot Item D:I (we) vote to call for a vote of the entire membership as to remove Mike Forstner as President. 20 yes / 74 no / 94 total / overall vote = no 5. Ballot Item E: I (we) vote to call for a vote of the entire membership as to whether to remove the entire current Board. 17 yes / 84 no / 101 total / overall vote = no Call for Committee Volunteers Board elections are planned for the Tuesday, July 24 Summer Member Meeting. With a three-member Board there will be two positions open. Or, should there is a member desire for a five-member Board (as a result of the final vote submitted at the Summer Meeting), there will be four positions to

3 fill. To date, we have 9 candidates for Board of Director positions which include: Tom Rudd, Simon Ward, Steve Lunnon, Bob Del Rossi, Bill MacFarlane, Paul Stashick, Jim Couto, Mark Hartman and Tom Atkins. The nomination process will still be considered open until ballot preparation, if you are interested in a candidacy position please contact Judi Adams. Short biographies on each candidate will be distributed with the voting materials. We thank each of the candidates for their willingness to serve the community. Members will be asked in July to vote to fill either two (2) or (4) vacancies, with a one or two-year commitment on the Associations Board of Directors, which becomes available at the Summer Member Meeting. The Board normally meets monthly, at least ten times per year, in addition to hosting the Winter and Summer Member Meetings. Committee volunteers are selected by the Board based on the specific needs of the Committees. The ARC normally meets the first week of each month based upon need, and the CRC normally meets two to three times each year, again based upon the needs of the Community. The Nominating Committee is also seeking additional volunteers for committee positions. Please remember that our fantastic community of Fairway Pines needs all the help and support of every member to move forward constructively, for all our benefit. We need more active members to support the effort and ask for the membership to leverage their life experiences in volunteering their time and efforts, to continue to improve this great place. To date, we are in need of two members for the Finance Committee which generally meets twice a year during the months of September/October. Professional experience in accounting, finance or non-profit fundraising is an advantage. The Covenants and Rules Committee may be in need of two members after the July elections (an understanding of Association Covenants

4 and PP&R s particularly Sections 1 & 6 is desirable) meets when needed, two to three times per year). Crack Sealing and Weed Spraying During the first week of June, crack sealing was completed on all surfaced roads throughout the community. The Board is currently looking for options to spray herbicide for weed control along the shoulders of the 7.4 miles of roads within the community in the near future. Fortuna Tierra Fun Run The Fortuna Tierra Club is holding its annual fundraiser, the Loghill Hustle, on the roads of Fairway Pines on Sunday, August 26th starting at 8 AM. The 5k and 10k races will start at the Loghill Village Volunteer Fire Department s Fire Station #2 and end at the Loghill Village mailbox kiosks on Ponderosa Drive. The races will take place on Marmot Drive, Puma Lane, Bear Cub Drive, Red Fox Lane, South Badger Trail, North Badger Trail, Cottontail Lane, Black Bear Way, Hummingbird Trail, and Woodchuck Place. On Saturday, August 25th, the Fortuna Tierra Club will be setting up the races along the roads with signs with arrows directing the racers down the roads. Water stations will be set up at Red Fox Lane/South Badger Trail and Marmot Drive/Cottontail Lane. The Fortuna Tierra Club thanks the residents of Fairway Pines for the use of their roads for this important fundraiser and hopes that the races will not cause too much inconvenience. 5 Community Clean-Up Days In cooperation with the Western Regional Wildfire Council, the Association is again pleased to announce a FREE curb-side chipping service for During the month of October, chipping will be done by a contractor street-side throughout Fairway Pines. To register for this free service, please read the attached materials, and register your name and address, and number of slash piles at no later than October 7th, Questions on the 2018 program may be addressed by calling Courtney Haynes at the Wildfire Council (970) , or ing him at wrwc.courtney@gmail.com. An informational brochure is also posted at the mailbox kiosk for review.
