3 Coach Diane Dillon 12th Season Diane Dillon has been the head coach of the Oswego State Laker women s ice hockey program since Last season, Dillon helmed a team that posted a record and qualified for the ECAC West Conference tournament championship for the seventhconsecutive season. During the season, Dillon led the team to a 7-0 start, the best in her career at Oswego. On Nov. 20, the Lakers defeated Plattsburgh for the first time in program history, when they toppled the No. 1 ranked Cardinals in Plattsburgh by a score of 3-2. In the campaign, Dillon guided Oswego State to its best overall record in program history (19-7-1) and its best ECAC West finish of The Lakers made their fourth-straight appearance in the postseason and finished as ECAC West semifinalists. She also coached Bridget Smith, who was the program s first-ever All-American. Over her tenure, Dillon has coached 10 players to 12 different All-Conference accolades. During her first season behind the bench at Oswego State, Dillon went on to garner ECAC Women s West Coach of the Year honors. A native of Tonawanda, N.Y., she completed five seasons as an assistant coach for women s ice hockey at Cornell University prior to becoming the head coach at Oswego. In addition to game and practice responsibilities, Dillon was the primary recruiting coordinator for the Big Red and monitored academic progress of the student-athletes. A 1983 graduate of Cornell, Dillon is one of the most prominent players in the program s history. She currently stands eighth in Big Red history in goals (65), tied for fifth in assists (79) and sixth in total points (144). 4 ACILITIES MARANO CAMPUS CENTER ARENA The Marano Campus Center Arena facilitates 3,000 spectators with 2,500 theater-style seats and 500 standing-rail positions. The arena also boasts a state-of-the-art press box area donated by Steve Levy, current ESPN broadcaster and SUNY Oswego alum. OTHER ATHLETIC COMPLEXES Romney ieldhouse: Renovation completed in 2013 includes four-lane track, jumping pits and four tennis courts Laker ield Complex: Game and practice fields for baseball, softball, track and field, field hockey, soccer and lacrosse, including six tennis courts Weight Training Room: Renovated and expanded in 2008 Laker Turf Stadium: 1,000 seat stadium, with lighting for night contests Laker Pool: Six lanes and diving well with newly installed LED lighting Max Ziel Gymnasium: Capacity of 3,500, and features three fullsize basketball courts Wrestling Room: 40-ft by 80-ft area with two regulation practice circles 3

5 SEASON IN REVIEW The Oswego State women s hockey team finished with its fourth-straight winning season, posting a record. Oswego also reached the ECAC West Championship for the seventhconsecutive year. Last season, the Lakers started off hot, opening the season with a 6-2 win over New England College to spark a six-game win streak. The win streak included a 6-0 win over Chatham during Alumni Weekend and two wins over ECAC West foe Cortland. The nation s top-ranked team Plattsburgh eventually gave the Lakers their first loss, but the Lakers handed the Cardinals a loss of their own the next day. The loss snapped the defending national champion s 13-game winning streak and its 24-game win streak at home. Oswego is returning some of their top talent from Olivia Ellis, who will be a senior, led the team in both points (36) and assists (22). Goaltender Mariah Madrigal will be be returning for her senior year as well. She had five shutouts during the season and a.925 save percentage. With the returning talent and a strong recruiting class, the Lakers are looking to build on their success. 4

6 OSWEGO STATE ATHLETICS Oswego State, which was founded in 1861, sponsors 24 NCAA Division III men s and women s sports. The school enrolls 7,150 undergraduate students, approximately 430 of which hold the title student-athlete as well. Over the years, those teams and student-athletes have accumulated 44 conference championship titles and have appeared in the NCAA Championship 68 times. In 2007, the Lakers captured their first ever NCAA DIII title as the men s ice hockey team defeated Middlebury College in the national championship game. Oswego State has also produced 66 All-Americans, hailing from 11 different teams. The Laker baseball team celebrates their first SUNYAC Championship title since 1996 (2017). The men s basketball team winning its second game of the NCAA Championship and advancing to the Round of 16 (2016).
