President: The budget is ready for presentation at the next meeting. The activity schedule for was prepared. The By law revision published last month will be presented at the next meeting. Vice President: Test results showed that the cowboy town stage divider walls would stop the bullets from cowboy shooting activities from penetrating the walls. A quote for the Lava Rock to fill the walls was presented to the board and approved for submittal to the vote of the membership at the next meeting. Range Officer: There will be a work party to paint the cowboy town Saturday 9/14 at 9:00. The 100 yard range will be closed during the painting. All others will be open. Bottled Water will no longer be provided at regular monthly scheduled matches. Bring your own water. EMPTY THE TRASH IN THE 200 YARD RANGE HOUSE AFTER EACH MATCH OR ACTIVITY. Trash left in the building is attracting rodents and insects. Target stands in the 200 yard garage are not to be left stacked against the file cabinets. No speeding or reckless driving on Range property. Workers will be in the Primitive Area on non-scheduled work days, the red sign will be posted at the gate when mowers or workers are present in the Primitive area. If you arrive on a non-scheduled work day to shoot, and workers are present, notify the workers and they will vacate the area. Women on Target scheduled for Sept. 28 needs more.22 RF ammunition. Standard velocity is OK. If you have some you can donate it would be a great help. Please bring it to the next meeting if you have any to donate. Tom Horn Match scheduled for Jan. 12, 2014 needs a volunteer to run it. Spring Rendezvous scheduled for April 12-13, 2914 needs a volunteer to run it. Spring Cowboy Shoot scheduled for April needs a volunteer to run it. Contact the Range Officer if you can volunteer to run any of these matches. Treasurer: Everything is up to date. Gun Show: All is presently in order with only the usual problems. Volunteers are still needed for some positions prior to and during the show. Publicity: Signs should be going up for the Gun Show. All other advertising is arranged for. Officers present: Tom Myers, LeRoy Burgess, Bernard Roths, Greg Bucchin, Johnny Rutledge, and David Brown. Monthly Meeting Minutes Number of Members present: 60 Visitors present: Clint Owens, Phil Melcher, Josh Fuller, Joe Blout Changes, additions, or deletions to the minutes from the previous meeting: Picture in the Ramrod labeled Rod Peer is actually Jim Dworak, sorry about that guys! 1. Reports by officers: a. President Tom Myer Tom went over the budget as a whole and Wes Lumry requested details so each board member went over details. The range officer budget was much larger than in the past, but that is only because it was inclusive of all events that were not accounted for in the past. The gun show budget went up as well and David will discuss that. Budget was accepted b. Vice President LeRoy Burgess Tests were conducted on the walls at the cowboy town on what filling stopped the bullets from getting through in order to allow for safely going down range without shutting down all of the ranges. The lava rock filling was the best option. It would run about $5500 to fill the walls with the lava rock and other incidentals would run a total of about $6000. Motions were made to approve and it was approved. There are still a pair of Bushnell Binoculars from the D-Day match. A by-law change is being brought for vote in regards to jacketed ammunition and matches. Per CTAGA requirements CTAGA Report No. 4, Guidelines for Operations was reviewed and updates made as required. A proposed revision to CTAGA Report No. 4, By-laws of the CTAGA, Article X, Section 2 was provided in
3 CTAGA MONTHLY RAMROD writing to the board for their consideration. The proposal was approved, after minor revision, for publication in the next Ramrod and membership vote at the next General Meeting after publication.
