2 2018 Reno Rodeo Parade Entry Application - Page Two - RELEASE AND WAIVER In consideration of acceptance of this application, the undersigned (if the undersigned is a group, each and every member of the undersigned participating in the 2018 RENO RODEO PARADE) hereby release(s) and forever discharge(s), and hereby grant(s) to indemnify and hold harmless the RENO RODEO ASSOCIATION, a Nevada nonprofit corporation, the 2018 RENO RODEO PARADE COMMITTEE, and the CITY OF RENO, and each, every and all of their officers, directors, members, agents, servants and employees, of and from: (a) any and all loss, claim of loss, liability or damage arising out of any personal injury or property damage occurring to the Applicant (or any individual of which the Applicant is comprised); and (b) any personal injury or property damage occurring to any third person or entity arising out of, directly or indirectly, the participation of the Applicant (or any individual of which the Applicant is comprised) in the 2018 RENO RODEO PARADE. 3 PARADE CATEGORIES CATEGORY UNIFORMED MOUNTED GROUP 1 UNIFORMED SENIOR MOUNTED GROUP $20.00 Requirements: Minimum of 12 horses and riders. Riders 18 years and over. Group must carry at least 2 flags. Judging Criterion: Cleanliness and uniformity of animals, equipment and uniforms - 35%; alignment, horsemanship attractiveness of pattern and performance of horses - 65%. 2 UNIFORMED JUNIOR MOUNTED GROUP $15.00 Requirements: Minimum of 12 horses and riders. Riders under 18 years. Group must carry at least 2 flags. OTHER MOUNTED GROUP CATEGORIES 5 FAMILY MOUNTED GROUP $20.00 Requirements: Three or more members, each riding horseback separately. Judging Criterion: Attire and appointments - 60%; manners and performance - 40%. 6 SETS OF FOUR $15.00 Requirements: Open to any club (senior or junior). Must carry 2 or more flags. Judging Criterion: Likeness of animals, tack and attire - 70%; manners, conformation and way of going - 30%. 7 MATCHED PAIRS $20.00 Judging Criterion: Matching of horses, equipment and attire - 75%; manners, conformation and way of going - 25%. 8 MOUNTED CLUB GROUPS $15.00 Requirements: Open to mixed groups of juniors and seniors. Includes ranch, riding stable, 4-H and others. Judging Criterion: Matching of horses, equipment and attire - 75%; manners, conformation and way of going - 25%. Must be attired in western wear and equipment must include stock saddle, reata or rope, and hobbles (spurs optional). 14 JUNIOR WORKING COWBOY $10.00 Requirements: Must be under 18 years. Must be attired in western wear and equipment must include stock saddle, reata or rope, and hobbles (spurs optional). 15 SENIOR WORKING COWGIRL $20.00 Requirements: Persons 18 years and over. 7 RENO RODEO PARADE INFORMATION AND RULES Be at the assigned staging area for your section on time. Remember, parking may be congested and difficult. Plan in advance. Report to the section Parade Marshal. Locate your entry s number position. Some large entries may be directed to have one member hold their assigned location while other members wait to the side until more room is available. Follow all instructions issued by the Parade Marshals during both assembly and the actual Parade. Failure to do so may result in disqualification, future barred entry and/or removal from the Parade. Any discharge of firearms are absolutely forbidden. Failure to observe this rule will result in immediate removal and permanent disqualification from the Parade. Campaigning for political office is strictly forbidden (i.e., posters, passing out flyers, etc.). Failure to observe this rule will result in immediate removal from the Parade. During the Parade, no stopping will be permitted unless you are halted by entries ahead of you or a Parade Marshal s specific instruction. During the Parade, maintain proper spacing in accordance with your Parade Marshal s instruction. No more than 40 feet behind the entry in front of you. If you wish to give away candy or toys, have someone on foot handing them out, away from the moving entry. BE WATCHFUL FOR & CAREFUL OF CHILDREN.
