4 Welcome to the 12th Annual Family Tradition Bull Sale What an exciting time to be in the beef business! We didn t think that prices could go higher but with tight global supplies and increasing demand, the Canadian beef industry is headed into exciting times. It s important at times like these that we all stay at the top of our game producing and selecting top-notch genetics. Much of our time goes into selecting highly efficient, functional cattle that will add pounds come weaning time. Combined with careful genetic selection we cull hard at our operation so you know that no matter the bull you pick out at our sale you are going to get a high quality animal. If we were to summarize this year s set of bulls we would have to comment on the depth of body, functionality and performance. The yearlings are a powerful set of calves with lots of hair, hip, and consistency from top to bottom. We are excited to be offering bulls backed by extremely sound cow families and herd sires such as HD and Zorro who have bred above and beyond our expectations. We have purposefully been adding the number of two year olds to our sale over the last number of years. This helps to satisfy our customers looking for an older bull to add to their bull battery, as well enables us to spread out our calving season, given increased purebred numbers on our operation. That being said make sure you don t overlook the two year olds, there s a lot of quality and consistency in this bunch and they are ready to head out to the pastures! A bull we found at Sliding Hills Charolais, Canora, SK where his dam has produced consistent high sellers in their bull sale for the past three years. HD is a true herd bull with lots of body mass; he is what a Charolais bull should look like. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction.
