2 Welcome to Summer Sizzler National Red Angus Sale! Kaye and I would personally like to invite you to this event! It is with great pride we bring you the genetics offered within the pages of this catalog. We feel confident you will find a Breeding Piece that will work for your own program. You will find genetics from some of the top Red Angus herds on the North American continent including some that are rare and hard to find. The Red Angus breed is, without a doubt, one of the high spots in the cattle industry. In my 30+ years of working in and around the breed, I have watched it grow from a somewhat minor breed to one of the largest and most popular breeds that continues to see significant growth while many others are in a decline phase. The reason for this is really quite simple; the cattle are just that good! They excel in all phases of the cattle industry and cross well in the commercial setting with every other breed in existence. The calving ease, maternal, carcass, and growth traits are all supported by an animal with a superior disposition which is also efficient and eye appealing. Nationally, a Red Angus influenced female is worth $4.00 to $8.00 a hundred weight more than any other female. I would encourage you to study the lots offered within the pages of the catalog and find the genetics that will work in your breeding program. If you have questions about any of the lots being offered, I encourage you to contact either the consignor or myself directly. We will be more than happy to assist you in any way that we possibly can. She opted to sell the board as a fundraiser for the Iowa Juniors to aid in the purchase of awards for the National Junior Show. The board will sell at the beginning of the Summer Sizzler sale. The wood is reclaimed wood from an old barn. The leather is from a farm auction. The logo was free hand wood burned by Tess. The burnt barbed wire is from a farm that burned to the ground in the Kansas fires. The copper horse shoe nails are from Tess s Grandmother s tack shop in Oelwein, Iowa. 4

We have had several daughters out of her born over the past 4 years and they now reside in several operations across the country, SLGN has a Cowboy Cut daughter in production and we will be retaining a Bojangles daughter to replace her. Neither does the seller, auction facility, or sale manager assume liability for the loss or injury to livestock due to theft, mysterious disappearance, sickness, improper handling or Act of God. It is to be clearly understood that the sale manager and its representatives act only as a medium between the buyer and the seller. They are not responsible in any way for the failure on the part of the buyer and seller to live up to their obligations or for the truth of any warranties or representation, express or implied. Neither does the sale manager assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of monies between parties. Any legal action, that may in exceptional cases be taken, must be between the buyer and the seller. This catalog has been prepared by the Sale Manager from pedigrees and information supplied by sources deemed reliable, however, the sale manager will in no way guarantee the pedigree, percentages of the animals selling, or data included in this catalog. Any exceptions taken are between the buyer and the seller. CONTRACT: The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both. Each sale or resale of an animal constitutes a separate transaction.
