3 Dear fellow cattlemen, Welcome to our annual bull sale March 15, What a winter! Its been long and cold with still more to come. One can only hope that it s an indication of the upcoming summer cool and wet! With the tragic storm that ravaged South Dakota last fall and the tough winter we are all enduring, I think we can agree a good weather year is definitely in order of all of us. This year we really cut deeply into our bulls resulting in a lot fewer for the sale. That being said, we think this is the best set of bulls we have ever offered. There are several embryo bulls in the sale this year. All of these are either a son or grandsons of our matriarch donor MTR Black Lady 59. She has been a phenomenal producer for us. We lost both her and her daughter MTR Black Lady 111, our other donor, this last year so there won t be many more of these to come. We still remain true to our goals and that is to raise cattle that are balanced and functional. We focus on bulls that balance calving ease, performance and carcass quality. They should also sire females that are broody, fertile, feminine, easy fleshing and highly maternal. As always our cattle are raised without the aid of creep feed or special treatment. Our goal, as cattle producers, is to produce bulls that meet the needs of a wide variety of commercial operations. We have worked hard to produce bulls that we think will go out and be productive in the beef industry. Ultimately, your success is our success! 5 Sale will begin at 1:00 p.m. MST Bulls will be at Buffalo Livestock Auction on the morning of the sale. They can be viewed at the ranch anytime before then. There will be 4 ways to bid on bulls on sale day: 1. Come to the sale to view and bid on the bulls yourself. We always hope see you there but we know it s not always possible to make it to the sale, especially this time of year. 2. Bid over the phone on the bid line phone or call one of our cell numbers.
