2 Welcome, Welcome We would like to welcome you to our production sale. What a change this winter has been from last year. We had two waterers freeze up the day of our 2014 sale and it took until June before one of them thawed out. Hopefully sale day this year is a little milder. Again the bulls are bucket fed oats & CHS pellets twice a day with free-choice grass hay. They are not fed for the show but to go to work for you and keep growing. We shoot for a 3-lb. daily gain on test and we know these bulls could gain a lot more but would only hurt them in the long run. We feel this is one of our best set of bulls top to bottom. Many of these bulls are suitable to use on heifers. For those of you that can t make it to the sale, you ll be able to watch & bid on DVAuction.com. Videos of the bulls will be available a couple of weeks before the sale at the DVAuction.com website but remember that the video was shot a month before the sale and the younger bulls are still pretty green. If you have any questions don t hesitate to call us. Also bulls will be delivered free to U.S. central locations within 500 miles and we will work with you on further distances. Semen Interest: DK Red Angus is retaining 1/3 semen interest in all bulls. The retained semen interest allows us to collect semen, use semen in our herd, and share in revenue of semen sales. Full possession and full salvage value sells on all bulls. Delivery: Delivery is free to U.S. central locations within 500 miles. We will work with you on further distances. $50 refund per bull picked up within one week of the sale, or $25 refund per bull picked up after April 20 at the ranch. Feeding: We will feed the yearling bulls free of charge until April 20 and have the bulls semen tested at our expense, but we will not be responsible for sickness or injury. After April 20, there will be a $2-per-day charge. Genetic Defects: We have collected DNA samples on every bull in the sale with any known genetic defect carrier in the first three generations. The bull tested negative unless otherwise noted. Recommended for heifers Recommended for larger heifers and cows Recommended for cows only Bidding: All animals sell to the highest bidder. Any dispute or challenges regarding bids will be settled by the auctioneer and his decision will be final. Terms: Terms of the sale are cash or check payable immediately upon conclusion of the sale and before animals will be moved. Seller will reserve the right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing any cattle. All animals are the owner s risk prior to their sale and become the property of the purchaser as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer. Guarantee: The bulls are guaranteed to be sound breeders. You may semen test or test breed them prior to breeding season and make your own evaluation. Any bull sold that fails to prove himself a breeder may be returned to the seller after notification by the buyer of the condition within five months of sale date. If a bull is proven unable to breed, the buyer will be given a full refund of purchase price; or a replacement bull as acceptable to the buyer; or credit in next year s sale. In no case will the seller be responsible for more than actual purchase price. The seller s guarantee does not apply if the animal in question has developed to be a problem breeder due to negligence or improper management by the buyer.
