OCCIDENTAL DISTANCE CARNIVAL (All times Alaska) WHO: Men s and women s college, university teams, and individuals. WHAT: Only track events from 800m to 10,000m. WHEN: Friday, March 11. Events scheduled to start at 5 p.m. WHERE: Bill Henry Olympic Track, Occidental College MEDIA: Results will be posted on GoSeawolves.com and on OxyAthletics.com. NORTHRIDGE INVITATIONAL WHEN: Saturday, March 12. WHAT: All running and field events. WHERE: Northridge Track & Field Complex MEDIA: Results will be posted on GoSeawolves.com and on GoMatadors.cstv.com. QUALIFYING FOR NCAAS: After one day of competition (March 5), the Seawolves have qualified one individual automatically for Nationals and have three athletes with provisional marks... senior David Registe has qualified automatically in the long jump, while senior Ardrienna Everett, junior Shaun Ward and freshman Haleigh Lloyd have each set a provisional time in the 400-meter hurdles. UNLV INVITATIONAL RECAP: The Seawolves commenced the 2011 slate on fire with five broken school records, four first-place finishes and 18 top-five results... in addition, UAA senior All-American David Registe returned to action after redshirting in 2010 to record an amazing leap of 25 feet, inches... the Palmer native won the event by over two feet, easily qualifying himself to the NCAA Championships... 2 the 400-meter hurdles with a time of SEASON PREVIEW: The Seawolves return 27 student-athletes (16 men, 11 women) and add 16 newcomers to the 2011 roster (5 men, 11 women)... in addition, the Seawolves will get All-Americans David Registe and Shaun Ward back after the duo redshirted last season due to injuries... this year s edition returns all two 2010 All-Americans in junior Alfred Kangogo and sophomore Micah Chelimo... on the women s side, UAA returns two KIPNG ENO NCAA participants junior Miriam Kipng eno and sophomore Ruth Keino... UAA will compete in nine meets in California, two in Oregon and one in Nevada throughout the next three months including the prestigious 53rd annual Mt.
