2 Welcome COMPETITOR INFORMATION The Cheyenne community is proud to be the home of the 2019 and 2020 Wyoming5enior Olympics. Welcome Athletes! Individuals age 50 or older as of Decernber st the year of the Olympics may participate in events thatthey are physically capable of performing. (For or older as of December 31,2019) To avoid injury, athletes should have trained to compete priorto the Olympics. The Wyoming Senior Olympics are considered "open" therefore any resident of the United States and Canada age 50 and older is eligible to participate. "Photo 10 with age will be required atcheck in. Age for Competing Age divisions for all events for men and women follows: are as Age for competition is determined by the athlete's age as of Decem ber 31 of current participati ng year. Age for doubles and team competition is determined by the age ofthe youngest partner or team member as of December 31 of current year. Medal Policy Cold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three placing participants at the end of each event. During National SeniorCamesqualifyingyears (2020), thetopthree Wyoming residents will also be eligible for National Senior Cames competition, regardless of whether he/she medaled in that event. An Event is cancelled by the Wyoming Senior Olympics Officials (no processing fee); Medical reason, validated from a physician in writing, provided prior to the start of the Wyoming Senior Olympics. *No refund will be issued after the completion of the Olympics. Check-In & Information Center All participants must be checked in at the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center, 1530 West Lincolnway, prior to participation. The Olympics Program with event locations, your J-shirt, sports bag and additional information about special activities will be provided. The Center will be staffed on Wednesday August 7 from 12-5PM,Thursday, August 8 from 6AM- SPM,Friday August 9 from 6AM- SPM,and Saturday August 10 at 8AM. Additional Fees Additional fees are charged for Bowling, Coif, Trap and Skeet. These fees are required to be paid at each event location. The estimated fees for Bowling is $15, Calf $16/Cart (optional), Trap and Skeet $6 per round/siz per event. ~estions? 3 DATES & TIMES TO KNOW Deadline for Registrations All Mail-In registrations must be postmarked by July 19,2019. Online Registration: Online Registration is strongly encouraged! Register yourself or have a friend or family member register you online. An address is needed. Mailed registrations require hand entry and will delay your receipt and events confirmation notice. To register online, visit the "Registration" link and follow the instructions. click on Payment will be in the form of a credit card on a secure site. Upon completion ofthe registration, you will receive s confirming your events and a receipt for fees paid. This meeting is open to all participants, Opening Ceremonies August 8: 5-9PM Welcome, Parade of Athletes, Opening Ceremonies, Diner with cash bar, Live music will be held at the Cheyenne Downtown Depot Plaza, Stay with us after the ceremonies, live music will be provided. Paymentof$15 registration; no tickets available on site. Banquet August 9: 6-9PM must be made with Banquet Dinner with cash bar and closing remarks at the Kiwanis Community House (4603 Lions Park Drive), Payment of $2S must be made with reatstration. no tickets available on site.
