2 7:00am Race Day Schedule of Events -Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens at the Northeast corner of Dallas City Hall Plaza (near the intersection of Browder St & Marilla St) -Race Course Street Closures Begin 7:30am -VIP Tent & Hollywood Feed Dog Park Open 8:00am Family Area/Kids Zone Open 8:40am -Timed Runner Corral Closes (Reminder: No Dogs or Strollers Allowed in Timed Runner Corral) 8:45am -Opening Ceremonies -Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Closes 8:55am -Wheelchair Race Start 9:00am -Start of 5k & 8-Mile 10:00am -Top Finisher Award Presentation (On stage Southwest corner of Young St. & Akard St.) 10:45am -Any runner who has not passed Union station will be asked to take a shorter route -Family Area/Kids Zone Closes 11:00am -8-mile course closes at mile 4 12:00pm -Racecourse closes

3 -Determine a meeting place with loved ones BEFORE you start the race. Remember, the finish line is crowded, and waiting on friends/family within the finish corral is not permitted. Bring a cell phone. -All dogs and families with strollers are strongly encouraged to line up at the back of the pack. -For the safety of all participants, dogs MUST be kept on a short leash (3 feet or less.) -Rain or Shine! Dress appropriately for the morning s forecast. -Pin your race bib to the front of your shirt. Your number MUST be visible to participate. No exceptions! Kids Zone Head over to the Kids Zone before or after the race (located near the starting line area.) We will have bounce houses, arts and crafts, a puppet show and other fun activities for our youngest trotters. Restrooms Portable toilets are available in three main areas on Dallas City Hall Plaza: North of Young St along Ervay St, South of Young St along Browder St and inside the timed runner corral. Check out the event map for exact location of portable toilets. Refreshment Areas Water and Fresh Fruit will be available after the race at the 8-Mile finish line and at the Main Refreshment Area on the plaza. Check out the event map for exact location of refreshment areas. VIP Tent The VIP tent opens at 7:30AM and includes private restrooms, breakfast, coffee/hot chocolate, and more! There are 3 options: Single VIP ticket - $20, Couples VIP tickets (2) - $30, Family VIP tickets - $50 ***Tickets into the VIP tent DOES NOT include your race registration. Text TURKEYTROT to Hollywood Feed Dog Park Introduced in 2012, the Trot now features a 4,000 sq ft fenced-in dog park at the intersection of Young St. and Marila St, near the VIP Tent. Sponsored by Hollywood Feed, it s the perfect place for your pooch to make new friends and get a treat and water before their run.

4 Timed Runner Corral -You must be a 5k or 8-Mile TIMED runner to access this corral. -Entry into the timed corral closes at 8:40am. After 8:40am, timed runners who have not entered the corral will be asked to line up at the untimed start. -Timed runners can only access the corral from St. Paul on the North side of Young St. or Evergreen St. on the South side of Young St. A map of the timed corral is on the back of your race bib for reference. -For the safety of all participants, dogs and strollers are not permitted in the timed runner corral. Results, Awards & Prizes Race results will be available online at immediately after the race. Runners are encouraged to check their results online from their smartphones. Age group awards will be presented to the top 3 runners in each age group for both the 5K & 8-Mile events. Age group awards will be mailed after December 1, 2017 to the address the participant submitted at the time of registration. Finisher Medals Finisher medals are awarded to first 4,500 runners to cross the finish line in both the 8-Mile and 5k (9000 Medals Total). Volunteers will hand out medals to participants as they cross the finish line.
